French luxury jeweler Poiray has launched a limited edition eponymous signature fragrance (a prior Poiray fragrance, launched in 1999, is no longer on the market). Inspired by Poiray's Indranî collection, and in particular a pink opal ring, the new scent is meant to be an "olfactive jewel".
Bulgarian rose is the focus of the Poiray fragrance; other notes include tangerine, apricot, plum, freesia, peony, cedar, powdery musk and white musk.
Poiray Parfum is available in 30 ml Extrait de Parfum; 380€; 5000 bottles were made. (via firstluxe, ausliebezumduft.de, beaute-addict)
That's a lot of cash for something that looks like it should be right next to a young girl's unicorn figurine collection.
I must be terribly picky and cranky because the very name “Poiray” auditorily reminds me of both “purée” and “Poirot “and they don't naturally lend themselves to perfumed thoughts (unless the connection being they could entail almond-smelling cyanide!)
Really?? I'm not sure it strikes me that way. But either way: it's a lot of cash!
Come to think of it, there ought to be a perfume for Poirot.
