Yves Rocher has launched three new fragrances for spring:
Naturelle (shown at right) is a green fruity floral developed by perfumer Michel Girard:
The scent of a free spirit, a light carefree fragrance, fresh and sparkling with green, floral and fruity notes to wear the delicate, cheerful scent of spring.
The notes include citron, bergamot, tagete, green apple, jasmine, peach blossom, amber, musk and cedar. Yves Rocher Naturelle is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette.
Comme une Evidence Le Parfum is a new variation on the best-selling Comme une Evidence fragrance:
Discover the most intense and luxurious version, the perfume. Quintessence of the Comme une Evidence olfactory universe, Le Parfum is the sublime expression of the richness and character of the chypre accord. Intense vibrant patchouli is adorned with jasmine to reveal the sensuality and addiction of a chypre signature with intoxicating accords. A gesture of utter refinement, the very essence of elegance.
Additional notes include green notes, lily of the valley, praline, moss and musk. Comme une Evidence Le Parfum is available in 30 ml.
New for men is Comme une Evidence Homme, a spicy woody floral developed by perfumer Antoine Maisondieu and promising "the elegance of a simultaneously fresh and intense perfume".
Yves Rocher Comme une Evidence Homme is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette; I'll add the notes later if I can find them.
None of these are available in the United States as of yet. (all quotes via yvesrocher, additional information via osmoz, beaute-addict)
Update: Comme une Evidence Homme features notes of mandarin, black pepper, rose, cardamom, nutmeg, cedar, patchouli and gaiac.
The Scented Salamander says of Comme Une Evidence Homme,
The Eau de Toilette offers top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and cypress. Heart notes unfold on a “rosy floral facet”, black pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom. Base notes are patchouli, Gaïac wood (the Bulnesia Sarmenti varietal), and cedar wood.
I'll wait 'til it shows up here. Their recent track record regarding men's scents is not good; their last good one was Homme Millenaire in 1999 or so. Since then, ick.
I suppose I should point out that only the middle bit of that posting was what was on the Scented Salamander; the editorial comment below it was all me.
Yves Rocher used to have a boutique near me, but it closed…now I don't get to try so many of the scents, and never tried any of the men's that I remember. Did just finally get to try the Iris Noir and did not love it.
None of the men's scents were ever groundbreaking, but there were some really nice ones, and Nature Millennaire Pour Homme was fantastic; dark, loamy, the smell of crunchy autumn leaves underfoot. It's one of my mainstay autumn/winter scents. Now they have Homme Nature (a nice fresh springtime scent), Eryo and Eryo Blue (boring), Altika (boring fresh), Hoggar (deathly boring oriental), and Transat (boring oceanic). You're not missing anything by not having a shop nearby, believe me.
I wish you could smell Nature Millennaire, though. It's really something.
Millenaire sounds lovely — assuming you mean they don't make it anymore?
YR keep sending me tempting special offers for the Naturelle, and I keep wavering… I caved on the Iris Noir, and like you I wasn't thrilled, R.
The Naturelle has apple, so I'm out.
Found the iris easily the least interesting of the 3 in that collection so far. Hope they're going to do more of them though, they're very well done esp. for the price.
It was launched in the year 2000, as the name suggests, they sold it for a few years, and then…pfft. It's the best men's scent they ever made, and I should know, because I've worn every single one except their first, which was launched in 1982 and discontinued before I even knew they existed.
The women's version, I think, is still available, but I never tried it so I can't tell you if it had any point of contact with the men's.
You know, they've been re-releasing some of the older women's scents as limited editions…maybe they'll get around to doing the same with the men's? Better yet, they ought to do a series for men like the Secrets D'Essences line they've done for women (the rose, amber & iris).

Thanks — going to keep an eye out for it and hope it will come to the US!
As I posted before, YR is just reissuing Millenaire for men. For those who like me are in love with the smell of “crunchy autumn leaves” and wet earth, try Demeter “Earthworm” ! Fantastic ! (and the lasting power is quite good for a Demeter one.)
I sometimes layer it with Demeter “Holly smoke”, to get what I now call “Gothic” : a very very dark, rich, profund and obscure scent. Sounds a little creepy I know… ! (but I love it…)
Thanks again!
