Lubin, the historic perfume house which was resuscitated in 2005 with the release of Idole, is reissuing a second fragrance for women, L'Eau Neuve, and adding a new one for men, Vétiver.
L'Eau Neuve is a recreation of a 1968 fragrance described as "très flower power". The new formula is by perfumer Roger Broudoux, [correction: by perfumer Lucien Ferrero based on the original formula by Roger Broudoux] and includes notes of lemon, orange, bergamot, lavandin, chamomile, jasmine, rose, clary sage, coriander, marjoram, patchouli, oak moss, white musk, cedar and sandalwood.
Vétiver for men was developed by perfumer Lucien Ferrero, and is described as "un peu dandy et un peu animal". The notes include tangerine, grapefruit, orange, neroli, clove, nutmeg, pepper, vetiver, cedar, myrrh and tobacco.
Lubin L'Eau Neuve & Vétiver will launch in October, 79€ each for 125 ml Eau de Toilette. (via cosmetiquemag.fr, osmoz)
Cool bottles! I see that the Perfumed Court carries decants of Idole, so I imagine they will have these as well when they're released. They do sound nice, although the “un peu dandy et un peu animal” made me smile.
I like the bottles too — although they don't have the visual impact that Idole had, I guess. But the scents sound nice, and hope they don't take forever to get to the States!
