Sarah Horowitz-Thran of Creative Scentualization has launched Joy Comes From Within...
...a festive and enveloping homage to the triumphant feeling of being confident in one’s own skin...Its spicy nutmeg top note, long revered for its ability to at once calm and revitalize, is accented with a sumptuous hint of almond. The fragrance’s single middle note of bright, euphoric orange blossom, like the dawning of a new day, rests gently on a warm, skin-enhancing base note accord of creamy vanilla, tonka bean and musk.
Joy Comes From Within is $95 for 50 ml of Eau de Parfum, and is exclusive to barneys. (via Creative Scentualization)
Pupa will launch a trio of new fragrances called Flower in Red in February 2007:
The red scent has a fruity and spicy juice featuring top notes of papaya, pink grapefruit and blackcurrant, a heart of freesia, cardamom and pepper and a base of vetiver, sandalwood and white musk.
The pink variation is characterised by floral and fruity notes of mango, maracuja, lime, osmanthus, magnolia and violet with a base of cedar, sandalwood and white musk.
More intense notes make up the juice of the blue version, with pineapple, green apple, orange, grapefruit and bergamot at the head, a heart of cyclamen, jasmine, white lily, rose petal, pink and black pepper and a base of patchouli and vanilla. (via cosmeticsint)
About the Pupas… Looking forward to them.
My sister received over the years (specially on her late teens, early 20's) several pupastuff, like the old mini-briefcase (wich came with little samples of perfumes) and some other frags resembling pebbles, made of frosted glass, in different colors á la Ryoko.
Plus one in the shape of a rose (filled with perfume, ´course) and with a long crystal stalk.
I must say all of these were sweet and pleasant, eau de toilette strength actually and not as inoffensive as the current slew of “asia-oriented” versions of today's perfumes.
And definitely these are GIRL fragrances, unless you layer them over a killer sexy bomb of a perfume, say some patchouli and rose oils or something like that.
Do you know, I don't think I've ever tried any Pupa fragrances, and for that matter not sure I've ever seen any. If they are sold in the US, I don't know where.
