Grès has launched Caline Night, a new limited edition perfume created by perfumer Thierry Wasser (who also created the original Caline).
The notes for Caline Night include apple, mandarin, plum, jasmine, rose, patchouli, praline, sandalwood, vanilla and musk.
Grès Caline Night is an Eau de Toilette, and is available now in France. (via osmoz & jesuiscaline.fr)
I still haven't even tried Caline, and now there's a flanker. Gres stuff is so tricky to find in B&M stores here in the US, unfortunately. Except for Cabaret, of course, which seems sadly to be dropped off at the discount chains more often than not.
What a really well designed advertising image for it. It's kind of a nice alternative to the over-stylized, over-designed stuff that's currently in vogue. I still want to try Caline first, though, heh.
The only place I ever see Gres is at TJ Maxx. Maybe Perfumania or one of the other chains has it. Actually, last time I was in Perfumania I was shocked at all the mid-range stuff they had that I thought was Europe-only.
I found Jeanne Arthes' Sweet Sixteen there, too, and that's, like, French drugstore stuff. Crazy what an odd assortment those shops get in. I've only see Gres at TJ Maxx and Marshall's, too. And for some reason, my local Costco was selling bottles of Cabaret in edt last Xmas? Really big ones, too. It was weird, 'cause everything else they had was all either super popular stuff, or the newest trendy stuff.
Really, wow, I've never seen Jeanne Arthes anywhere. It is kind of creepy what ends up at TJ Maxx.
