Orris is the latest fragrance release from Tauer Perfumes. According to perfumer Andy Tauer, his goal "was to create a scent that captures the iris note and plays with it, brings out its erotic line and its dark woody, almost leathery quality."
The notes include Bulgarian rose absolute, cinnamon, pepper, grapefruit, orris, frankincense, agar wood (aoud), Mysore and Australian sandalwood, vetiver and ambergris.
Orris is available now for pre-order at luckyscent, $85 for 30 ml of Eau de Toilette.
This is the one I thought I'd never own! I'm down to my last millimetre of the special edition sample, and have been on my knees begging Andy to bring Orris to the market. This has been my Big Find of the year.
Looking forward to trying Orris, everyone seems to love it!
I haven't seen Orris at their website. Could it be discontinued..? It's already 2008 and a bit of a late response.
You might write to Andy Tauer & ask — not sure if this one was limited edition?
I just did send him an email and he wrote that Orris was there once in the amount of 200 bottles. It had great reviews but that was it 🙂
That is really nice don't you think? I mean Andy Tauer does not go for the big bucks but prefers to stick to his own ideas and philosophy. And the 'travelling bottle', the other project with just one bottle of perfume – well it has somehow disappeared somewhere… I just LOVE this!
