La Prairie will launch Brilliance Silver Rain, a limited edition "luxury version" of Silver Rain, in October.
The bottle is "encrusted with over 3,000 Swarovski crystals and encased in a deluxe gift coffret". It comes with two refills and runs an even $2,000. (via moodiereport)
Miller et Bertaux have released their latest fragrance, Bois de Gaïac et Poire (aka "Close Your Eyes And..."):
The namesake gaiac wood, found in Central America, is joined by some 40 other ingredients including Turkish rose, jasmine, cinnamon tree, lemon zest and pear, which “acts as a mortar”, according to Miller.
(via cosmeticnews) It is available now at lusciouscargo.
Update: see a review of Miller et Bertaux Bois de Gaïac et Poire.
Look for the first fragrance from Coach, the luxury leather goods brand, in Spring of 2007. (via Women's Wear Daily) Update: more information on the Coach fragrance here.
I have nothing witty or clever to say about, likely because it itself makes its own joke, but Brilliance Silver Rain is the funniest thing I've read this morning. I can't stop laughing. Oh my. As if Silver Rain's juice itself didn't make it clear enough that La Prairie wasn't intrested in perfumery – just exquisite looking paper weights.
I thought the Midnight Rain bottle looked gorgeous, but this one looks like a disco glitterball! I'm assuming it's the same juice inside? I like the name 'Close your eyes and…', though – I'm the sucker they're thinking of when they dream up names like this.
somewhere along the line it became acceptable for luxury brands to cover every product they sell in Swarovski crystals…WHY?
Yes, La Prairie should go into the sculpture business and Swarovski should stick to chandeliers.
LOL…can't add a thing to that 🙂
The only bottle I really like is the original Silver Rain…although haven't seen this one in person. Yes, same juice!
And I'm that same sucker…want that M&B! Way better as “Close your eyes…” thann “Bois de Gaiac”.
LOL, so true!
