Ooh, the new CBIHPs sound perfectly autumnal. Can't wait to sniff them. Well, I could wait maybe three days.
Good Morning!
I keep promising myself to make a little pilgrimage to CB's shop in Brooklyn, and this may be the catalyst I need. Having burned my share of maple leaves (I grew up in an old house with 9 giant old maples in the yard), I have to smell this one. The idea of gathering up some leavs to burn in the fireplace appealed to me as well and the suggestion has come at a time whem I am making an effort to remember and write about my childhood and teen years.
There are times when I find CB's work to be too “fresh” and too accurate, the chocolate smells oven baked and not pretty perfume in Brownie, for example. I haven't made the adjustment to perfumes that really do smell like living gardens but I am learning to appreciate them.
Now to plan the train ride to Brooklyn 😉
Exactly! I am dying to smell Burning Leaves.
CB's perfumes are quite different from the usual, so I do know what you mean by making the adjustment. He frowns on alcohol, but I rather like alcohol in my fragrance! I am getting used to the water formula though.
Me too…
I've already heard some really great things about Burning Leaves – it's a scent that has really piqued my interest.
Lotto? Eeeesh. Dunno about how that name is going to sail here in the States. Makes me think of standing in line at a convenience store to buy lottery tickets, which really doesn't speak of glamor to me.
K, they are athletic wear, and I think the line is sold in the US, so maybe people who wear those kinds of things already know the brand? I'm guessing they aren't after the glamor market…maybe something more like the Adidas scents.
