Japanese designer Hiroko Koshino has launched an eponymous perfume:
In the dew-bathed forests of Japan, A fragrance unfurls into the dreams of its dew-laden trees. The richness of the dew, sparkling scent-infused: The deer, celestial being of the forest untiringly quaffs the full draft. Each drop gathered on a silver spoon. From the forest depths bursts forth this fragrance.
The notes for Hiroko Koshino include green tea, lotus flower, cassis, rose, lily of the valley, freesia, incense, amber, musk, and tonka bean. It is an Eau de Parfum and is available in 30 and 75 ml, and in matching body products. (quote via khimji, additional information via Osmoz)
Stila has released a new fragrance called Midnight Bloom, "designed to capture the hazy aromas of a midsummer night". (via cosmeticsint) The notes include gardenia, fig, amber and sandalwood.
Stila Midnight Bloom is an Eau de Parfum, and is $50 for 50 ml.
This fragrance is now on the counter at Nordstrom. It is pretty but uninteresting. I found it to be ordinary and reminiscent of something I cannot put my finger on. Many of the new launches seem rather synthetic-y to me, and this was just that. Pretty bottle, but not for me.
Hi P, Thanks, another one to cross off the list. I am not a big fan of the other Stilas, although I agree, the bottles are nice.
The BOTTLE for “Midnight Bloom” is one of my favorites. It interested me when I was searching for a “mid-summer's night” fragrance. I wished I could've liked the scent as much as the packaging!
