Cosmeticnews reports that Stella Cadente is set to launch her first perfume, Miss Me. Look for a May debut in France; in the US it will be exclusive to Nordstroms starting in June.
The fragrance is described as an oriental balm, structured around a sphere—instead of an olfactory pyramid—of Tolu, Peruvian and Siamese benzoin balms, signed by Firmenich’s Annick Menardo.
I have no idea what a structure around a sphere means; if you know, do tell! Update: additional notes include vanilla, cinnamon, peony and orange blossom. Stella Cadente Miss Me is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.
Detaille has released a new fragrance, Dolcia, featuring lemon blossom, green apple, and osmanthus. What is with all the green apple lately? (via osmoz. Detaille is difficult to find in the US; Takashimaya in NYC does carry the line.
I am curious about the Stella Cadente. When cavewoman and I visited the local Norstorm we saw it on the list of upcoming scents. I have no idea about this sphere stuff but it sounds like it will be lovely.
Morning A! I am so out of it that I've never even heard of Stella Cadente, much less her perfume.
I was wondering if the “sphere” was marketing-speak for what is basically a one-dimensional perfume.
LOL! That might be it.
I was hoping that it meant layers of notes and a fab drydown. I was reading the notes and then saw that the juice was pink. Did you think that was wierd? I expected it to be an amber color. I wonder if it will be like Fifi.
You're so right, pink is just wrong for the notes. It seems to be the big color for fragrances lately though. I have a sample of Fifi in my “to try” drawer, which is overflowing at the moment.
