Years ago, when I reviewed the Cire Trudon limited edition candle, Merida Arquiste, I lamented the fact that I couldn’t think of a good guava-centric perfume “out there” that could match Merida’s fruit note. Now, Atelier Cologne has launched Pacific Lime.* Though (I assume) no guava was harmed in Pacific Lime’s manufacture, the fragrance’s notes conjure the aroma of a pink guava at perfect ripeness…
The splitmeet, episode 11
The splitmeet (episode 11) is open for business. PLEASE read the instructions! For people who would like to chat in addition to, or instead of, splitting, there will be a poll along shortly.
Don’t know what a bottle split is, or you know but you’ve never tried it? See here.
Please note that the intention of the splitmeet is to split newly purchased bottles of perfume, not to sell decants of fragrances already in your collection…
Les Parfums de Rosine Vanille Paradoxe ~ fragrance review
You might have noticed the annual onslaught of rose-themed articles and posts in your social media feeds in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day. Well, I wear rose perfumes all year ’round, and I’m a bit of a cynic where Valentine’s Day is concerned, so this post is really business-as-usual for me! Cartier’s new Déclaration Parfum is the fragrance equivalent of a party shirt…
Pont des Arts A Ce Soir & A Chaque Instant ~ fragrance reviews
There’s new perfume house in town: Pont des Arts. Some of you might be groaning, and I don’t blame you. It’s hard enough to keep up with promising releases from houses we already know and love. Stop it with the new brands already!
That said, Pont des Arts bears watching. Its first offering is a manageable three fragrances including an oriental, a floral chypre and a fresh woody citrus. Even more intriguing, perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour developed the oriental, À Ce Soir, and the floral chypre, À Chaque Instant…
