Hi Robin, I hope all goes well with your family and the medical situation.
My SOTD is Ines de la Fressange (2004 version) – Chypre Floral designed by Alberto Morillas. It has a few of my favorite notes, Black Currant, Neroli, Peony, Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley and Iris, Benzoin, Vetiver and Patchouli.
I went to the gym today, it was a little too soon for my full workout but I did get a quick shoulder/triceps workout in. I need to be gentle with myself this week. A good day to all, hope to see you later!

I’m wearing DSH Perfect Vanilla which I applied copiously before bed last night. Just waiting for the cable guy to remove the cable here then I’ll hop in the shower and do my favorite combo of BBW orange and ginger body products topped off with Ninfeo Mio. High 90’s again today. 🥵 So over it!

I’m in Guerlains-Eau de Fleurs de Cadrat and Eau de Guerlain. In my world there’s never enough citrus, and it never reminds me of Pledge. Pledge does remind me of Eau de Geurlain so go figure!

It’s a mild late summer day here so I am working in the yard. Nothing says “Working in the yard” like Organza Indecence /jk. I like the cinnamon in this very much, and I probably chose it because I made a baked custard early this morning and used cinnamon instead of nutmeg.

I’ve just been helping my mother shower, it’s quite a role reversal from childhood 🙂 . My mother is doing very well for her age, but everything is getting harder and takes a long time.
I’m wearing Neela Vermeire Pichola, it’s probably a little sweeter than I’d normally wear, but it’s lovely.
Wearing Marc Jacob’s Daisy. If you would have asked me 10 years ago to wear it I would have turned up my nose. I hated it, but not sure why. The last few years I have fallen in love with it.
Daisy reminded me of something one of my cousins must have worn in the early 1970’s. I wish I knew what the first perfume was. I had an immediate flashback to that era when I initially tried Daisy.
I’m in a more recent version of L’air du Temps. I used to be a huge floral girlie (probably mostly bwf) back in the day. But the last few days I’ve been doing a big purge; mostly spurned on from the recent wildfires. I realized how lucky we were and was moved by the generosity of so many people. It was nice to be able to pay something forward.
I went through my cupboards and drawers and managed to gather up around 35 bottles of fragrance. Many were vintage floral types that I liked having, but honestly never wore. I’d like to smell them from the bottles but it was maybe more the memory of it than anything. Yesterday we dropped off the fragrances along with a bunch of toiletries (like Lush soaps and some hair care products).
Today I donated a bunch of jewelry and tomorrow we can drop off the clothing. Some people lost everything so if I can bring a smile to one person, then it’s worth it.

Haha! I have a “time out” box of fragrances so it started there. Most were definitely not full, and some were eee baay finds. One was a very low amount of vintage Oscar; it was something I thought I needed in my life but I never wore it.
I’m in vintage YSL Kouros, thanks to a generous NSTer who is known for her love of/vast knowledge of vintage💕
I never thought in a million years that I would be drawn to Kouros but I adore it. What a complex and well contsructed fragrance!

I gifted my brother in-law Kouros in the 80’s. I was so excited to give it to him, because I really liked it and it was upscale. He let me know that he hated it! I should have kept it for myself.

My daughter had a Doctor appointment today, so I decided to wear Clean Ultimate Beach Day. At first spray, I knew it had gone off. I ended up just pitching it.

Looks like I will be seeing temperatures in the 90’s for a while longer here. Maybe 3 more weeks? September is now a summer month in Colorado instead of a transitional one.
SOTD = still in Angel EdP today. I’d forgotten that wearing this one is a 24-hour commitment, even with only 1 or 2 sprays. However, the far drydown of it smelled so good this morning that I didn’t mind re-upping later on.
The 10 day temperature outlook showed the west at above normal. I’m in the average section.

Here’s hope that your family member is on the healing path Robin! For the CP, SotD is No. 19 Poudre and here’s why: I have mentioned before that I fell down the rabbit hole via The Non-Blonde Blog. Gaia was a fan of No. 19, and gave a very meh review of Poudre. But I went against my Mentor, because though I was lucky enough to smell a wonderful vintage No. 19, I still fell in love with No. 19 Poudre. It’s been a crazy busy Summer for me, but I’ve tried to at lease lurk at NST. I’ve had a wonderful vacation on the Florida panhandle, and I saw a baby loggerhead turtle make it down to gulf and catch a wave and swim away! Turtle Rescue groups revisit nests after the main hatch, and sometimes find hatchlings who missed the main event. I don’t understand it, but it seems the “laggards” tend to hang around unless pointed to the water. So this nest had one and he at least got to the water. Looking forward to reading everyone’s CP choices tomorrow!

I hope the medical problem was resolved and the family member is okay! The time of year for these things, I feel — all my family members have always had something go wrong either in the heat of the summer or January.
