The (almost) daily lemming
I have been painting my kitchen this week and too distracted to lemm anything (other than having someone else paint my kitchen), but an email from Arielle Shoshana this morning took care of that: "Régime des Fleurs' new Acanthus candle smells like sticking your head into a lilac bush and breathing deeply. It smells like a 70º April day, warm breeze tugging at the last of the cherry blossom petals. It smells like the spring we missed this year." Aha. $95.

I’m in L’Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu, which I think is just (barely) weird enough and just earthy enough to qualify, even if it isn’t the most obvious goth choice (L’Artisan Voleur de Roses might have been better, but I haven’t got any and it doesn’t suit me anyway). I also considered doing goth-lite with L’Artisan Passage d’Enfer, but it’s just not somber enough, and I am determined to finish my L’Artisan week…
