French niche line Etat Libre d’Orange has launched Soul Of My Soul, a new fragrance.
Soul Of My Soul speaks of the fire god of Persia and the gods of India — the worship of offerings such as Mesopotamia, milk and clarified butter to honour the gods. A creamy explosion, the musk scent intermingles with iris butter and transmits the powerful balm of vanilla, followed by the friction of tonka against benzoin for a sweet yet powerful sign off.
Additional notes include bergamot, incense, pink pepper, rose, suede accord, sandalwood and georgy wood accord.
Etat Libre d’Orange Soul Of My Soul is available at Selfridges in the UK, £195 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Would it not be wonderful if this is actually as lactonic as the description suggests?
It would be wonderful if all perfumes were as the description suggests…
Oh, want to try this one for sure!
Right now it is exclusive to Selfridges, or so they say, but would imagine it will distribute eventually.
I’m definitely interested. Would love to sniff this sometime!
Oh, I hope this makes it across the pond!
This sounds yummy, but $$$.
Maybe it will be offered in 50ml eventually? I really wish this line would do 10-15 ml travel sizes. I would own many…?
They do 30 ml, but not in this more expensive series.
Sounds great! Hope it doesn’t take long to make it here.
I like the look and sound of it until I saw the price. Still want to try it though.
Such a huge fan of the brand, love the bottle too!
Sooo behind on new releases though, the last new ELdO I smelled was Someone like you…
The bottle is great, and it sounds decent, but I found eldo to be all hype and fairly boring perfumes. The smell of clarified butter makes me not want. Put something in a bottle and hype it as something subversive and daringly different and you’re sure to find an audience . Other than SM which is nice and skanky and that ginger one that eventually smells like potpourri, I’ve thought their smells were pretty common and cheap smelling.
