The daily lemming

Are you needing more cute? How about Pastiglie Leone violet candies in a kitty tin? You can find the whole collection (there are puppies, too) at Emporio Italiano.

Very cute. I have probably told this anecdote here a couple of times, but if anyone missed it…

Mom was reading an historical romance, probably Regency, and said, “I wonder what sugared violet petals taste like.”

I said, “I wondered that myself, a couple of months ago. Want to try one?”

What a great story! I wonder if there is a correlation between people who seek out violet candy and those who become perfumistas.

I have always loved the very hard, white violet sugar candies with an anise seed at the center. Haven’t had them in years. Hmmm….
