The (almost) daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 30 March 2019 9 Comments

A potential lemming for fans of Chanel No. 5 L'Eau? The In-Shower Gel ("A shower gel that gently cleanses skin and invigorates the senses with the fresh, vibrant scent...A floral bouquet of Rose, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang combines with the crisp notes of Lemon, Mandarin and Orange for an unprecedented sense of liveliness.") and the Fresh Lotion ("This fast-absorbing body lotion nourishes, softens and delicately scents skin with the fresh, sophisticated fragrance of N°5 L’EAU.") are $45 each for 100 ml.

oh golly, these sound lovely. The citrus+florals in No. 5 are so beautiful to me.

L’eau’s clean-musky base didn’t work on my skin tho it smells great on others. I would try these if I had a chance.

Yesterday I stopped in at Ulta for a little self-care (needed eye cream desperately) and couldn’t resist the No. 5 testers. I sprayed L’eau, EdT, and EdP on my arms. I smelled to high heaven and it felt wonderful. There’s a reason it’s a classic! :D

I have still not grown into the original 5 and I like the L’Eau even less, sadly…

Wuh oh. Fortunately, that price will prevent me from caving.

I’ve read that Dove micellar body wash smells like #5 but I haven’t tried it myself. Chanel body products are so luxurious, though.
