The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 5 January 2019 14 Comments

Oh why not..."For Chinese New Year, Guerlain's iconic Eau de Cologne Impériale is adorned with a precious red design for a festive limited edition. Striking a harmony around refined floral accords, its fresh citrus notes of lemon and bergamot flirt with petitgrain, while the floral magic of neroli softens this crisp bouquet." £75 for 100 ml at Harrods.

Maybe red is the new black? Nice idea for Chinese New Year, maybe we’ll see more of them.

I hope we do not see a saturation of red bottles now. The charm and magic will be gone then!

I looooovvvee that bottle. But I’ve never smelled the juice, and am on a self-imposed spending moratorium (except for work-related books), so…I will pass. But it is gorgeous.

It is such a pity that I already own a vat of this particular cologne as I wouldn’t mind a red bottle filled with Impériale at all!

Red is traditionally the color for good luck for the Chinese. Guerlain should offer plate engraving based on the Chinese Zodiac! Beautiful bottle!
