The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 10 July 2018 4 Comments

Lladró's 1001 Lights North Tower Spire Candle: "The 1001 Nights collection from Lladró is inspired by exciting stories from One Thousand and One Nights. Fragranced with the company's Unbreakable Spirit scent, this hand-etched candle is infused with exotic notes of bergamot, cardamom and musk. The elaborate candle comes features a spiral dome decorated by hand with 22-karat gold lustre pinnacle - a stunning artisanal piece that doubles as a beautiful objet d'art once the wax has run out." On mark down at Harrods, £126.

Oh so pretty! I had no idea Lladro makes home accessories like this.

I don’t often buy candles, but this one is tempting. Thank heavens I’ve sworn off collecting porcelain of any type. My old teapot addiction was proof enough that I must never go down that dark road again. 😉

I don’t know how long they’ve been doing home fragrance, but go look at Harrods, there is a large collection! (And possibly more on a Lladro site, I did not investigate. And sounds like maybe you better not investigate either, so never mind to all of this.)

That really is charming. I’ve got some Christmas tree ornaments in that shape (which I’m sure there’s a name for, but I am brain dead) so it looks like a holiday decoration to me.

Like Tiffanie, I won’t go down the candle road, which is paved with danger. See, I’ve got this perfume addiction, so I know which direction that can go… 😉

There is probably another name for them, but I think of them as onion domes (as in Russian architecture).
