As self-tanners go, this one sounds rather nice: "This refreshing body mist created by Lucia Pica delivers freshness and hydration with a warm, cologne-inspired scent and progressively enhances skin's natural golden glow.... Classic self-tanning technology provides a soft, gradual tan. Inspired by Mademoiselle's L'Huile Tan released in 1932, this mist is presented in a modern interpretation of the iconic bottle." According to an answer in the Q&A section, it's "a beautiful blend of citrus cologne with accents of orange blossom and lily, with an underlying soft amber base of white musks." $60 for 75 ml.

Chanel’s body products are usually really well done, so with luck “Classic self-tanning technology” does NOT equal “Funny smell and turning bright orange”.
Go to the Chanel site and read the Q&A — sounds like it is a very gentle formula and won’t turn you much of anything very quickly.
I purchased this yesterday from Nordstrom. Fragrance is very light and similar to the recent L’eau Chanel. Very fleeting scent – it dissipated on me in minutes, however i assume it’s intended only for it’s self tanning purpose. I’d layer this with another no 5 variation before heading out for the day.
Spray is very light, so i had to give it a good 5 or 6 pumps over my chest / neck to get any sort of coverage. Instructions say to rub into skin, however it absorbed so quickly it wasn’t necessary. I would have preferred a larger bottle with a more better spray – similar to the no 5 body oil from last winter.
Overall – no real tanning or bronzing effect noticed yet, but perhaps it would develop over time (but you’d have to go through half a bottle to get any real coverage). But the bottle is pretty.
Thank you so much! I was hoping at least some cologne-like lasting power, but sounds like not.
