Clive Christian 1872 Twist Acacia and 1872 Twist Bergamot

Luxury niche line Clive Christian has launched 1872 Twist Acacia and 1872 Twist Bergamot, new variations on the brand's 1872 fragrances.

1872 Twist Acacia ~ "A heart of rose de mai, ginger and sparkling freesia that is perfectly complemented by the heady beauty of acacia. A base of amber and patchouli add an earthy warmth to an unusual yet striking blend." Additional notes include black cherry and cedar.

1872 Twist Bergamot ~ "A sparkling fusion of bergamot and mandarin and rosemary and lavender, which provides a clean herbal edge, this aromatic delight softens slowly to reveal a heart of earthy clary sage." Additional notes include neroli and patchouli.

Clive Christian 1872 Twist Acacia and 1872 Twist Bergamot can be found now at Neiman Marcus, $385 each for 50 ml.

They’re clearly on a roll now they’ve discovered flankerization.

Perhaps also a sign of a new owner, as they have been bought

Yours is the second time recently on fragrance blogs that I’ve read this; the latest info I can find is a purchase of the fragrance side of CC’s business by a consortium which includes the founders of Stagecoach, the transport company, for which heaven help us (& I live in Scotland)!

Thank you Robin, found the same article on our Daily Telegraph site. I just commented because it seems it’s only very recently I’ve seen someone mention ‘new owners’ on here & on fragrantica.com, so thought the acquisition was much more recent than it obviously is. Maybe it just took the new owners a while to get things together to approve the launch of a raft of new perfumes, though with both Brian Soutar & Ann Gloag (the Stagecoach founders) being multi-millionaires I wonder why. Wouldn’t think for them it’s anything but business – depending on who you talk to in Scotland they’re either very popular or they’re not!

It does take awhile for fragrances to move through the pipeline from brief to development to production. I think they were actually pretty quick.
