Happy Monday, and a very happy birthday to Gwen Stefani. (And a quick warning: Donatella will be coming by tomorrow.) What fragrance are you wearing?
In Ms. Stefani's honor I am wearing Harajuku Lovers G, from my own personal collection of plastic doll heads. I smell about like you'd expect.
Reminder: on 10/7 we're doing "At the movies" — name a favorite movie, and wear a perfume that fits the movie or a character in the movie
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2016, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Happy Birthday Gwen!
When it comes to classic autumnal New York style, nobody pulls it off like Rene Russo as Catherine Banning in The Thomas Crowne Affair. Ms Banning wore many simple yet certainly memorable outfits that withstand the test of time and her confident sexy nature made her character able to keep the mind and heart of Thomas Crown in check. Through out the movie there are many scenes where she could of been wearing many different fragrances, but for me, her classic style reminds me of 31 RC, my SOTD.
Love that movie (and the original w/ Steve McQueen)! What would she have worn in the dance scene??
I love that scene! With her see-through dress and sexy moves..the Latin music playing.. That is a hard one!
Anyone have any ideas?
I think something a little powdery and quietly seductive. Fate?
TF Noir Pour Femme!! I think that would be perfect!
They all sounds wonderful!
Rose de Petra!!
..on my “must sample” list!
Great movie! She would have worn 31 RC — I can so picture that!
She was SO GOOD in that! It’s honestly one of my favourite movies ever, a love story and not one but two dazzling heist scenes.
Me, I’d put her in bright, sharp, no-nonsense Calandre: it matches her pared-down clothing style, I think. She’s quite wealthy so I expect she has a lifetime supply of the 1969-vintage extrait in one-ounce bottles in a fridge in France.
Hey, twin 😉
Boy do we smell wonderful.
We do twin!
No 5 Chanel EDP.
Is this the perfume Kathleen Turner smells on her Mother in
Peggy Sue Got Married?
Or was it My Sin or Arpege?
At any rate, this smells of Aqua Net on my skin. I prefer No22.
When Peggy Sue visits her Grandparents……. pass the tissues! LOL
Carpe Diem! 😉
I keep going back to test No. 5 and I just can’t get it. Maybe one day… No. 22 on the other hand is lovely.
Chanel No. 5 it is. “It always reminds me of home.”
My husband gets emotional over that scene as well. Need to watch that film again, been too long.
Yay for No. 5 and No. 22 and Peggy Sue! And now I want to watch Romancing the Stone.
I’m glad you are honouring all plastic doll heads today, Robin. I’m wearing Satin Doll, which is a gorgeous iris tuberose that I hadn’t worn in a while. My theme fort this week will be tuberose, of which I have plenty.
Oh, and it’s German Unity Day today as well.
Plastic doll heads do not get enough respect 😉
I think the bottle is adorable!
I am very fond of the whole set.
I’m looking forward to your tuberose choices this week. It is currently my favorite floral. I have never heard of Satin Doll or the YS UZAC house. Is it more widely distributed in Eurooe?
Europe.
I don’t think so. I got my bottle on sale from ALZD. The site lists shops in Switzerland, the UK, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and France. Luckyscent used to carry it in the USA.
I think it is a pretty small house – they are based in Switzerland. Not that wide distribution in EU either.
They don’t charge for postage and the last time I ordered from them Vincent included 2 blocks of Swiss chocolate and 8 perfume samples…what a guy!
That is nice. The site looks great too. What concerns me is that a lot of shops have stopped carrying the line.
I like Satin Doll and I still have a sample so will wear it today. Hope your week goes well up there!
Caron Narcisse Noir
One of my favorites. You smell fantastic.
One of my favorite movies is My Neighbor Totoro–it always cheers me up. I am wearing Forest Walk today in homage to the forest spirit Totoro.
I am drinking some MD American Breakfast Tea: black tea with chocolate, caramel and it tastes like a tiny bit of orange. A chocolate chip muffin of a tea.
I love Totoro! My husband and I are huge Miyazaki fans. You smell great and I can totally see that being a scent for that film (especially when Mei finds Totoro).
Such a great movie, and nice fragrance match.
It’s on my to watch list
Narciso Rodriguez for Him
Continuing on a very long Chanel streak – today I’m wearing a few drops of Cuir de Ruisse.
I wonder what scent Auntie Mame would wear…….
Fracas?
Good choice! Or maybe Arpege?
You smell great- a winning streak!
Love Cuir de Ruisse.
Auntie Mame would wear all the scents on her dressing table. After her travels around the world perhaps Shalimar would be a favorite.
She gives her cook a bottle of Guerlain something (in a splash disk bottle) for Christmas. I know Shalimar came in that bottle, but so did others.
I’m going to do a week of amber, so today I’m wearing L’Ambre des Merveilles. Just a little too much vanilla in this one for me to love, but I like it a lot.
like that one but too loud for my colleagues
SOTD: Rahat Loukoum.
Been looking up recipes on Marron Glace and debating if I should attempt this daunting multiple-day challenge…
Multiple-day? The ones I’ve bought at confiseries in France have claimed to take two years! (So delicious, though. I say go for it!)
Wow, is that right? I had no idea.
So delicious and now I’m craving one!
Nuit de Tubereuse, L’Artisan Parfumeur. God, I love this stuff!
Gosh, have not worn that in ages! Must add to list.
One of my favorites. You smell great!
Nice!
Monday again! I am in the office since 5am since we have a deadline on one of our projects at the end of the week. I have had so far four cups of very dark and strong coffee to keep myself functioning. My SOTD is Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois. I really love this scent with its woody, fruity notes. Cinnamon and plums grow very good on me. I know it is very bland compared to the Shiseido version which I used to have, but I still enjoy it for what it is now. Very comforting, inviting, warm and uplifting for the Autumn season.
Oh dear, good luck lasting through the end of the week! I loooooove the modern FdB, and hope one day to be able to compare it to the old Shiseido version. Most people adore the old stuff, but at least one person has told me she prefers the new version.
Thanks Koyel. Looking forward already for the long holiday weekend. The old version of FdB was stunning. It took me time to accept and appreciate the new one. Now I really love it!
I’ve never tried the original, either (and I remember when it was launched — if I knew then what I know now…), but I have a full bottle of the newest version and I love it anyway. I think I’ll wear it tomorrow: it feels very autumn to me, all that spicy cedar.
My favorite in Autumn and it has a very good longevity on me. At least good 10 hours.
I never tried the original either, but really love the new version.
Hope you have the opportunity to sample the original some day. It is amazing.
I’m with you on the old version. I haven’t quite liked the new as much.
I started enjoying the new version of FdB when I stopped comparing it with the old one and decided to treat it as a different scent. That’s what I usually do with vintage and new versions of fragrances even though sometimes I fail and feel frustrated.
Hey twin.
🙂
SOTD: Myrrhe Ardente, an easy, warm Fall day choice.
LOVE this one in Autumn too!
This week’s community project sounds hard. I’ll have to start thinking of something.
I reorganized my samples again this weekend, and have decided that I need to try on each and every one of them before ending a Very Strict No-Buy (that’s right, Donatella, I’m going to adhere to it this time!). I started in on the first row this morning, with Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black (quite a lovely sandalwood scent, though not that interesting or FB-worthy).
At lunch today, we had a Repas des Régions, where each person brought food from their part of the world/France. As an American, I brought platters of chocolate chip cookies and brownies. They appear to have been quite a success, and were consumed with great rapidity. This pleased me, of course. Unfortunately, I absolutely stuffed my face, and have been in substantial pain for the past three hours. I blame my colleagues for bringing so much delicious food!
Sounds de-lish
Yum!
Fun! Can’t get more American than chocolate chip cookies.
Struggling to wake up and get in motion today…..Maybe that’s nothing new? LOL
SOTD: Tresor Midnight Rose. It’s wearing a bit strong right now (only 1 spray!)….hope it settles in quickly before I have to scrub! 🙂
Have a good Monday Y’all!!
Got back from my Hampshire/Surrey/London 5 day trip at the end of last week. Popped into Perfumer H in Crawford Street, London – had handcarry luggage only so wasn’t able to buy a bottle of anything – but Caroline in the shop very kindly (after much sniffing on my part) gave me very generous samples of Rain Cloud & Rose Green, so I’m wearing both on different wrists to see how they go. Rain Cloud is absolutely gorgeous, & my husband has declared his liking for it. He’s not keen on Rose Green, but I am, surprisingly – it’s the only rose fragrance other than Penhaligon’s Elizabethan Rose that doesn’t “turn” on my skin. Perfumer H is a lovely shop & a stone’s throw from Marylebone High Street, well worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity.
That’s Lyn Harris’s new outfit, isn’t it? Must try. I saw Heliotrope reviewed on The Black Narcissus.
It is indeed – & well worth a visit. Just odd that Miller Harris is still on the go as MH, as many people (less well informed than those of us on NST!) may not make the connection – a la Jo Malone & Jo Loves.
Does Penahligon’s still make Elizabethan Rose? I read at one point that it is the fragrance they used to bottle for Victoria’s Secret in the late 80s/early 90s that was sold as Her Majesty’s Rose. I wore the VS back in that (pre-Angel) era and searched high & low for a bottle a couple of years ago but came up empty handed.
Penhaligon’s website has had a refurb & there’s no sign of Elizabethan Rose on it – there’s a new rose fragrance included in their latest set of 4 new launches, however.
Oriental Express….reminds me of vintage Emeraude…love…..
Wow, I wouldn’t have made that connection. Hmmm. My mother wore Emeraude when I was a kid.
You smell great. I like OE and also would not have thought of Emeraude.
Most people compare it to Shalimar, but I seem to remember that Emeraude was used as an inspiration for Shalimar. So it makes perfect sense.
And it is gorgeous. When I tried these Muglers in the shop, on paper, my favourite was the chypre, but wearing them on skin, I quickly realised that Oriental Express was my winner. Not enough, so far, to want a bottle, but still.
I was thinking of Oriental Express as Mugler’s futuristic update of Shalimar, so I can totally see Emeraude, too.
That sounds great. I haven’t tried Oriental Express and now I want to see if I can find it.
SOTD is Volkamaria from WeinerBlut one of my souvenir perfumes from Copenhagen
Actually, it warmed up so I washed that off and am now in Champagne which is absolutely glorious in the current weather
It’s properly turned into fall after a long summer and I am wearing the autumnal I Profumi di Firenze Sandalo Misore concentrate: nothing but smoky, dirty, resinous wood, very linear and so appealing if you like that sort of filth.
I’m in a i Profumi Firenze as well–from an STC decant– Spiga Fiorentino Lavanda Azzurro. Looks like it may no longer be in production. Replaced by a Oxford Lavanda… who knows. I enjoy this house but can’t seem to keep the fragrances straight in my mind!
Off work today, so I woke up kind of late today. I applied Nahema EDP (current version) at 10 last night and can till smell it 12 hours later. As much as I do like Nahema, it’s not something I can wear everyday or for a couple days straight. After my shower, I will wear Beloved or Jubilation.
I love the movie Broadcast News with Holly Hunter and William Hurt. I watched it again this past weekend.
In one scene the news reporter, Jennifer (played by the beautiful Lois Chiles) has a full bedroom she converted into a closet. When they pan around the room, you can see a vanity with perfume bottles on it. I couldn’t read which ones she had on her vanity. I did try, lol! But I imagine her glamorous, stylish, perfectly coiffed character would wear something like EL Private Collection, my SOTD.
Nice job Barqs!
And you smell lovely!! 🙂
Thanks!
I love analyzing movie and TV scenes to try to figure out what fragrance bottles are in view. Even in cartoons: there’s a scene in “Archer” (season 1 episode 4) that takes place in the bathroom of a horrible woman with a lot of money and impeccable taste: she has an indecipherable Chanel bottle which is probably No. 5 EDT, one of the Guerlain beehive bottles, and a wee black bottle of Nombre Noir extrait on the vanity. Such attention to detail!
Now I will pay more attention to that aspect of the set decoration.
Archer has such great attention to visual detail! I haven’t watched season one lately, I’ll have to revisit it and keep an eye out for perfume.
Nombre Noir – that’s astonishing! Good eye, pyramus!
Whoever animated that scene even put the purple lettering on the Nombre Noir bottle: you can’t quite read it, but there’s no doubt at all what it is, if you know what you’re looking at. Either someone did a lot of research (“What perfumes might a rich, cartoonishly obnoxious but sexy old woman wear?”), or someone is a real scent obsessive. They’d probably be right at home on NST.
Who you calling scent obsessive? LOL
Wow, I love Archer and never noticed that. I need to go back and re-watch it.
Greetings all! Love reading what scents everyone is busting out for fall, which, sadly, has not arrived here yet.
One of my all time favorite movies is “Sling Blade,” but I’m afaid to even contemplate what scent would be a fit for that film. I may have to pass on the community project this week.
Also, I have No Fear of Donatella’s arrival, as I haven’t bought a single thing in a long, long time. Still on the No Buy program until 2017, alas! My grip is tenuous at best, as I’m really wanting a bottle of MFK Grand Soir, but it’s not going anywhere, right? That’s what I keep telling myself????
Happy Monday!
Such displine !!!
Hardly! More like learning to budget late in life ????
Have you returned from your trip? If so, how was it?
I have returned and it was great! Thanks for asking ????
Grand Soir is worth saving for!
It is worth it and I’m still working on my sample, which I have worn pretty much exclusively except for a bit of Azemour for the past two weeks.
I am jealous of your discipline!!
No reason for jealousy as a have no discipline. At All. It’s more about meeting a financial goal for the year. In January, I’m planning a FB of something, just haven’t decided yet. But Grand Soir is in the running along with Dries Van Noten and Box of Eels…critical decision time ????
Welcome back, Deva!!! I just got my decant of Grand Soir and I will wear it when it’s cooler. Grrrr temps are on the rise again.
Thanks! Here’s to hoping we both get cooler temps SOON!
“Let them eat cake”! I’m wearing Black Jade by Lubin today. Happy Monday all! 🙂
You smell fantastic!
Thanks Eleebelle! I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!
Back home again after some wonderful weeks of chaos and travel. I was a bit flustered this morning and ended up wearing CBIHP At the Beach 1966 because I really didn’t know what I wanted and got overwhelmed by the choices. Maybe it wasn’t the right day for a beach scent, but I do smell great!
It sounds like you had a fantastic wedding and honeymoon. Enjoy settling into married life and relaxing after all the wedding frenzy.
BTW, testing Byredo 1996 to see if it should remain on the FB list. The warm dry down with a hint of vanilla is so lovely and perfect for fall/winter.
I love 1996! It’s definitely on my FB list (eventually)
I’m wearing Hiris today. I’ll ponder what my choice will be for Friday. However, when I tested New Sibet last week, I did think to myself that Mark Renton from Trainspotting probably smelled like that perfume.
Hiris is one of my very favorite and go-to scents.
Today I’m wearing Serge Lutens’ Un Lys applied very lightly.
No complaints (as yet) from my co-workers.
Wow, now I want to try New Sibet!!
Ha! Not sure I want to smell like anyone from Trainspotting(shudders).
Oh, Hiris! Such a nice scent for autumn weather. You smell fabulous.
That is an interesting association
I am useless at remembering specific films but I managed to rustle together 5 for the week and match them with perfumes, yay! I’m going to do the films based on the era they are set, oldest first. Today, standing for itself and the whole genre of biblical sword-and-sandal epics is “Solomon and Sheba” from 1959, set in the 900s BC (insofar as the hoaky ahistorical story is set in any time). I loved this as a kid, especially the trick with the polished shields used as mirrors to dazzle the onrushing Egyptian army.
SOTD to match is Lubin “Akkad”, a gorgeous resinous amber-incense creation that is lighting up my day and going on my shortlist. [I am being every bit as ahistorical as the film, it turns out – Akkad was abandoned and in ruins by the 900s BC, and its glory days were more than a thousand years before that again].
ahhhh, love Akkad!
Nice pick! AKKAD didn’t work for me but I think its a good movie -scent pairing!
I’m grumpy this morning and the adorable Mr. Minion is annoying the $&@! out of me so I’m wearing a huge blast of Epic. It makes him sneeze so I’m hoping it will act as a repellent. He is to a slow point in his project and I can’t get two seconds to myself without his either trying to make suggestions, or ask how I’m doing. I really wish I wasn’t such a typical only child but I can’t help needing to be left to myself to be comfortable and focus on my work.
Grrr…
😀
Hope you get the space you need. I can totally relate.
It’s not just an only child thing. That kind of over-attentiveness would drive me crazy, too. (I’m not an only child, but I am an introvert who needs a lot of quiet alone time.)
I like your subversive perfume use – hope it gets the job done 😉
I am wearing MFK A la Rose, it is a light fresh rose scent, nice but nothing special. One of my favorite movies is La tigre e la neve (translates to the tiger and the snow I guess) of Roberto Benigni, I can not imagine her wearing any scent in that movie maybe only when she is relaxing in her garden or in the wedding scene, maybe Fracas.
I snuck a dab of Flying Fox this morning, and then went a liiiiitle overboard with Jasmin et Cigarette – so I feel like Joan Crawford even if I don’t, strictly speaking, smell like her.
But I bet you smell amazing!
SotD = Library of Flowers Moon Shadow, a very realistic jasmine scent. It smells like the snowy, white jasmine (jasminum grandiflorum) that grows in my neighbor’s garden.
Portia over at APJ loved it so I bought a bottle unsniffed. It is not the pink jasmine (jasminum polyanthum) scent I’ve been searching for, but Moon Shadow is very pretty. It makes me happy.
Library of Flowers scents are packaged in sweet wood and paper presentation boxes, and their bottle is quite pretty. A win for Monday! 🙂
SotD: Empreza sample from Penhaligon, because it was the first sample I picked out of the box. Meh.
I felt the same way about the Penhaligon’s Trade Route series. One of that Penhaligon’s series, I forget which, smells like Coco Noir.
Pretty much how I feel about this one, too.
But for Juniper Sling, I feel that way about most of their scents. Ostara is nice, but it changes on me to a scent I really don’t care for.
I got all excited about Ostara after I read the reviews, but it was “meh” for me too.
True story: in my early days of prowling ebay, I came across a listing for Guerlain Jicky in the old-style crystal apothecary bottle with the elaborate gold and black escutcheon label. The seller dealt in film and TV props and memorabilia, and the bottle was part of props being sold from the I Love Lucy shows. Imagine Lucille Ball’s character in Jicky!
Wow, great story!
That is great. Did you get it?
No, I hadn’t learned to snipe yet, so my bid was easily beaten. I forget what the final winning bid was, but it wasn’t as high by today’s standards.
(Delete the “as” please.)
Impressive!
That is cool!
Very interesting!
Used up a plastic sample of Creed Spices and Wood today. I set aside plastic samples for this week to wear that I need to use and are simultaneously good for fall.
SOTD is Lalique Hommage a l’homme, which I bought unsniffed (I know, I know…) after Kevin’s review and find quite intriguing (in the way that keeps you re-trying it)
ON this very rainy Monday I’m wearing Rose Anonyme, Atelier Cologne
That’s a great choice for a rainy day.
We’re having our first rainstorm of the year, so I guess it’s officially no longer summer! I’m in The Unicorn Spell, which has some of the dreamy violet haze of Apres l’Ondee, but is warmer and brigher and generally more cheerful to help keep my spirits up on a grey Monday.
Sounds lovely. Am putting this on my “to try” list.
Wearing Dilettante today from the splitmeet…
Good stuff…more depth than I expected. I thought it would be mostly straight forward orange blossom but this has other stuff going on. Wood and other flowers are afoot too.
Scent twins!
Oh, yeah. That one definitely has much more than just orange blossom going on. I didn’t care for it myself, unless I somehow got a bad sample. I adore orange blossom but this was just over the top and not my thing.
Can’t wait to get mine and try it out!!!
You smell great. A lovely perfume pal gave me a little decant, and the dry spiced end phase was still delightfully on my scarf today.
Donnatella’s tomorrow already? Gosh, that was quick! Wishing the fabulous Gwen Stefani a very “Happy Birthday”.
Things are going great with my “new guy”! We spent the weekend together and he just might be “the one”! I’m very optimistic! I am extremely happy right now and I am wearing my “happy” and favorite fragrance today: Nectarine Blossom & Honey by Jo Malone.
Suddenly, Mondays don’t seem so bad! Lol! What am I saying?
Happy for you! That’s wonderful to hear.
And you smell fantastic!
Yay! Hope it continues to go well for you.
I wonder if I have missed your new avatar or something. For some reason I thought you were married. Oh, well glad you have a great guy you are interested in. Keep us posted.
I’m wearing Diletantte too, from the splitmeet. I am so thankful I don’t smell like plastic doll head. Ick!
I have only one idea for this week’s project, I am terrible at matching film/art/colors etc. to scent. On the other hand, Donatella and I are going to be spending sisters this quarter. Is that cause for celebration or should I be walking with my pockets inside out? I can’t decide…
Celebrate! I would join you if I had the financial capacity!
Feeling like I’m coming down with something, so went easy today with a small spritz of PdE Equistrius layered over the lingering scent of L’Occitane Arlesienne shower cream.
Take good care of yourself.
Drink warm things and eat warm foods..cuddle up after work
That stray comment below was meant for you????
There is something nasty around. I had strep 2 weeks ago, did a course of antibiotics and now it is back. Unbelievable!!!
Yeah, a lot of people I know have had something or other. Sorry you’re sick again! Maybe it didn’t knock it out completely the first time. I hope you feel better.
Did you get rid of the toothbrush and other lip prooducts you used before you got sick and while you were sick? I hope you feel better, my dear.
Feel better Elisa and you know that I think you smell wonderful! Take care.
Thanks Petunia! And thanks for helping me smell wonderful today????
Ick on coming down with something. 😛 Hope it passes quickly.
Hope the bug skips you altogether!
Thank you! Sounds like a good plan.
Eau Premiere for a Monday when I needed some comfort. Much upheaval at work that is sending us all on to new jobs that so far have no descriptions and new management three time zones away. Yikes!
That definitely seems like a yikes! but it also could prove to be a really excellent new opportunity for you. I do hope that’s the case 😉
Theorema because I got out of the house before actual consciousness actually set in.
🙂
I really need to plan ahead for the projects. Going with Le Galion Sortilège today, Wearing something with a classic feel puts me in mind of any number of movies with nice frocks!
Chergui for the second day in a row.
Morning, all. I’m wafting Queen of the Night in all directions — i just went upstairs to get some milk for a cup of tea, and when I came back down, I could smell my own perfume all through this floor. It’s just as well I love it — let’s hope my Floor 10 compatriots also enjoy it! QotN is a gorgeous, rich non-floral floral, not delicate or peel-wally in its presence at all. It’s rich and lush: vanilla and maybe chocolate and perhaps some well-blended sweet spice…it sounds like a baker’s pantry, but actually, it’s more complex and interesting than a mere foody perfume. Maybe it’s a bit much for work, but too, too, tooooo bad. I bought a bottle a little way back, and at the time, I suffered a tiny pang of guilt because it was stupidly expensive, but now I’m glad I did.
Be well and happy and continue to be gloriously scented, everyone!
Afterthought…if I had to pair Queen of the Night with a movie character, I think I might choose Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra. I can’t think what the dear man might wear as Mark Antony though…
Mention Mark Antony, I always think of James Purefoy in the HBO series Rome, in that black leather corselet. *fans self*
I’m thinking leather, starting with Knize Ten. 😉
Mmmmm….. black leather corselet! I’m now completely distracted from writing my lecture!
Hi everyone!And suddenly mid-Spring,Winter returned today!SOTD Bond No.9 Chinatown.It’s the one fragrance I always overspray,leading to a headache somewhere during the day!Still,such a good one.I have the PERFECT scent for Friday’s challenge!(and movie as well!)Cannot wait!Lol.Only perfume-people would understand the anticipation.Haha!Happy Week!X
SOTD is Habit Rouge. I’m looking forward to Friday’s project; I can’t wait to see what people come up with. I have no idea yet what I’m going to choose …
Donatella tomorrow? Uh oh.
Oh, too bad: I’m going to be out and about tomorrow. 😉
Lalalalalala 😛
No SOTD for me at the moment.. I forgot to put anything on before I left the house this morning and didn’t have a backup with me.
When I forget scent for the day, I tell myself I’m clearing the decks for an extra delightful sniffing session later on. Wheeeeee!
Back to the untried sample pile for my SOTD. Today I pulled Soivohle’s Evening Plum parfum oil. It’s very low key and close to the skin.
SOTD = Papillon Angelique
Mimosa, buttery iris, woody and lightly incensed. I guess this is a chameleon as some claim it’s gourmand but I would never categorize it as such. Because of its low sillage, I think it is very office friendly. I didn’t wear it to match any movie character or actor.
Re this Friday’s community project: the last movie I saw in a theater was Tintin but we’re not limited to movies at the movies so I can probably work with a movie I watched on TV.
In other news…where were all the NYC cops who usually hang around Penn Station / Madison Square Garden? A woman was on her MOPED puttering around the crowded sidewalk with people trying to catch their train and others leaving the station. Utter craziness and I don’t even think it’s a full moon!
My hectic day today required me to wear CdG Kyoto. I have no experience with Japanese temples but it is still so serene.
Friday’s challenge – I feel like a student who has just been asked a really simple question in front of the class, and can only think of anything except for the answer to the question. I am not a film connoisseur, but I’ve seen movies; and every time I think of this challenge I can’t think of a single movie at all.
