Dutch and Kenyan scientists have designed a unique mosquito trap that uses human odor to attract the malaria-carrying insects, helping cut the number of cases dramatically, researchers said Wednesday.
A three-year study in Kenya found the special traps baited with synthetic smell helped to catch 70 percent of the local malaria-carrying mosquito population, and led to a 30 percent drop in cases at households using the devices.

This is awesome!
(The other 30% must be anosmic.)
HA! Exactly. Or waiting for stronger smelling humans.
It made the front page in most Dutch journals. It sounds like a valuable device. Malaria still kills so many people.
And hoping it will come here too, before Zika goes any further north.
