Does July fly by faster than other months? It sure seems like it. It's Tuesday, and we're expecting the Buck Moon tonight. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm testing several (arguably, too many at once) of the Les Potions Fatales from Six Scents.
Reminder: 7/22 will be Flashback Friday — wear a fragrance you wore "back in the day". I think this was suggested by Bee and MikasMinion?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2016, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I’m wearing Etro Anice, PdN Carré d’As and a lovely new cologne from the small French brand Durance. It’s main notes are ginger and mandarin, and it’s quiet lovely.
As it’s hot most of the other things have nearly evaporated.
Darned hot here too, but thankfully not as hot as yesterday. I do not even know Durance!
They remind me a little of l’Occitane when they first started. They do a lot of home fragrance products. I love their bodylotions both for their smell and their skin care properties.
Ah, will have to look into them then, thanks!
Wearing for the first time Le Labo Iris 39, a sweet iris-violet scent. I like it but do not love it. Angela wrote a great review on this perfume here, on NST.
You smell lovely. I like this one as well, but not sure I need a full bottle.
I loved that one the first time I tried it, and then the second time all I got was carrots-carrots-carrots. Not sure what happened in between!
I ordered a couple decants of LM Parfums Hard Leather from a gentleman on Facebook after smelling it and falling hard while visiting Scent Bar in Los Angeles. It’s dirty…and I like it. Granted, my skin makes it positively kittenish, but when I shove my nose to it it smells good and dirty.
Also, I saw at some point in the last week (didn’t get a chance to comment) two people talking about how light Eau Suave was on their skin, and I was stunned – that’s one of the only scents that actually shows up and lasts on me AND my clothes! Could it be a formulation issue or am I just blessed/cursed with bizarro skin? So weird.
Either way, at least I never risk overwhelming people with my scent, even when it’s a biggun.
Have you tried that sample of Linger presented at Sniffa? Not sure it’s on the market yet. Maybe it will “neutralize” your skin and help the fragrances project closer to what you are expecting.
You’re right! I need to dig that out again and try it. Did it work for you?
I’ve mostly experimented with Jo Malones, which I like for summer, but are longevity challenged.I think it helps some in that case.
Just about everything is longevity and projection challenged with me, so I definitely have to fish this out again.
I was wearing it yesterday – completely weather inappropriate but I love it!!
So weather inappropriate but so good! I love it too, and am delighted to have my decant.
I may have been one the peeps that mentioned the short longevity from Eau Sauve and was wondering the same thing. Maybe I’ll wait till fall and order a new sample when it isn’t so hot. Who knows what happens in transit since it has been so hot and humid lately.
Amazing how differently these things work for everyone. I hope you do get to smell it more, because it’s lovely, but if you don’t, I guess it’s one less bottle to own.
SOTD today is “Une Belle Journée” by Paul Emilien. This is very lovely on a hot day, the sweetness of flowers and freshness of leaves with a bracing shot of citrus. Unisex, lasts well enough and the dry down is beautiful. Blooms in the UK is offering a discovery set of several 5ml PM bottles for £21 which is ridiculously cheap.
Too busy to post yesterday, when I wore “Acqua Viva” from Profumum Roma. That was beautifully well – made lemon citrus, lasted half a day so better performance than many of its type. But, I need stuff to last a full day and will only forgive a shorter time if the scent is impressive in some other way, which this isn’t quite. :^)
Your description of Une Belle Journée interested me, especially because I already know and like Pure Addiction of the same house. I checked the notes – geranium, mint, rose, immortelle… Must be a lovely perfume for summer!
Ann Gerard Perle de Mousse today. This one is on the theoretical FB list.
My theoretical list is getting very long but it mostly stays theoretical 😉
I’d like to not work forever, so theoretical is a good way to go. In any event, the discovery set has 7.5ml samples which is about how much I “need” before forgetting about it.
This morning I’m still smelling the residual test from last night: Masque L’Attesa on one hand and Chanel No 19 on the other. I’d thought there might be some similarities between the two. Uh, no. But it was fun and I still smell good.
SOTD will be No 5 Eau Premiere.
You smell lovely.
SOTD Eau d’Hadrien. It’s not Coty Chypre, but it’s sort of a throwback.
I wanted a reliable, predictable, pleasing, kind of standard fragrance to help keep my head afloat above the chaos.
Yes, reliable and predictable!–that’s why I’m wearing EP today.
Yes! To fortify, I may spray EP later or on unused skin real estate.
Oh, that’s a good throwback for me too. Still craving a bottle, but maybe if I wait until the end of summer the feeling will pass. You smell summery and wonderful!
Scent twins!! I love the citrus and cypress combo. 🙂
I’m wearing Miracle, from a bottle purchased when it first came out. 2nd back in the day scent for the week.
That now qualifies as vintage! And it’s held up ok?
I’m not sure. I’m getting a very peppery vibe from it, with relatively little floral. There is a little fruit, but mostly pepper. I very rarely wear it, and I don’t remember whether this is what it used to smell like or not.
Quick check-in. Bonjour from Marseille. Went to Aix-en-Provence this morning, quaint little town. SOTD was Boy Chanel – very short-lived on me…even worse than 28 La Pausa! On the steps front, I am uo to 191,000 as of yesterday: now I just have to power through towards my 250k stretch goal!
Go girl go!
Keep having a fabulous time!
Love reading the updates and about your step progress. I’m confident you will figure out the spray technique needed to make Boy work better.
Woooo south of France! You’re not coming by Toulouse by any chance, are you? I’d love to say hello! I have full confidence in your ability to hit–exceed!–your stretch goal!
I definitely get more time from Boy than 28 La Pausa!
How many steps are you doing per day, I missed it?
Me too. La Pausa goes away very quickly. Boy lasted a good 5-6 hours on me.
Your trip sounds wonderful!
How fun! Enjoy!
I lived in Aix-en Provence, a long time ago. There are fabulous markets there, or used to be. On Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays in front of the Palais de Justice. It’s so different to Marseille. Have you visited Avignon yet? or Arles?
I lived in Marseille a long time ago. But Aix was my favourite town to visit! To add to your step total, walk all the way around every fountain and up and down the steps of every church you see!
Well done! And enjoy!
Great progress on your steps!
Inspired by Bear I’m starting my ‘back in the day’ today with Nu. This was one of my few signatures over a decade ago- back when it was possible to drain bottles. I think I would’ve worn a lot more of it too if it had stayed around… sooo good 🙂
You smell great, perthgirl !
Thanks for the shout-out !
Thanks Bear 🙂 and credit where credit’s due!
The EDP or the EDT? I mean, you’re good either way, but the EDP is intoxicating.
I only ever bought the edp because that’s all that was sold here, for some reason. I did pick up a really cheap bottle of the edt a few years back online just to compare, and I can see that it’s Nu, but a vacuous blond compared to her brunette, smoldering sister.
I used to have all the bath products too. Sigh. Perfume nostalgia…
My bottle of FM Eau de Magnolia arrived yesterday, so that’s my SOTD. Thanks again to Laura for introducing me to it!
Congrats on your new bottle!
Thanks! You know, the first time I tried EdM I thought it shared some DNA with Cristalle EDT. But then I tried the two arm-against-arm last night, and … they’re not nearly as similar as I thought. The EdM brought out a dirt note in Cristalle that I’d never noticed before, and Cristalle made EdM smell much more demure than it is on its own.
Sprayed Cristalle from a distance all over me and went to sit outside on a warm, windy day. The more I put on, the more delicious it smells. I will try EdMagnolia tomorrow or maybe later. This summer, though, Cristalle has been a constant urge.
It is for me too, all the time. So beautiful.
You smell beautiful and sparkling- it always feels like a refreshing sparkling something to me and yet so pretty and elegant!
Wonderful!- top of my ‘next summer list’.!
Berdoues Grand Cru Cologne Assam of India
How do you like that one? I’ve always wanted to try it because of the name and bottle.
it’s perfect for summer…lemon, assam black tea and mysore sandalwood are the notes…I blind bought it and luck for me I like it….I have been wearing it daily now for almost three weeks…I plan on wearing it for the entire summer until I drain the bottle….those bottles are so aesthetically appealing to me that I might just go for Scorsa de Sicilia next…..
I scoured the Smallflower site last night and have a sample of that on my wishlist, along with too many other great things!!
Smallflower has some great stuff..lots of natural skin care lines and lines from Europe that arent so easy to come by….
I’m feeling unreasonably chipper this afternoon, possibly because of yesterday’s labwide hike in the Pyrénées. It was a stunningly beautiful day, and the lakes were sparkling blue and clear when seen from one direction and gorgeous green from another. I wore no scent, choosing instead to smell of warm resin and pine needles and long grass and wildflowers and earth.
I guess it could also be because I slept for eight entire hours last night (I usually have a LOT of trouble sleeping), having been thoroughly exhausted by said hike!
To continue my good mood, I dabbed on the teeniest drops of Mohur Extrait from the super-generous Annikky, which enveloped me in a cool Indian morning in a rose garden for a little bit, though sadly, the day’s intense heat has made sure I’ve sweated it all off by now.
Glad to see you’re in good mood! Mohur is in fact quiet on me, so I’m not surprised if most of it is gone.
Byredo Rose Noir is my SOTD.
I agree — July is flying by.
I’ve got a sample of RN. I don’t see it getting a lot of love which is a puzzle–it’s wonderful 🙂
I put on a dab of PG Indian Wood this morning and washed it off immediately because it seemed much too strong and masculine. Reading the description of the scent again, though, my perception doesn’t make any sense, so I’m going to have to try again later with a fresh nose.
Still in the mood for something woody, I swtiched to Exotic Island Perfumer Santal Exotique
Love Santal Exotique but I usually think of it as a scent for cooler weather
It is, but in my office, it’s ALWAYS winter 🙂
I could do with a bit of winter in my office right now.
Wearing vintage Van Cleef & Arpels from a splash I found last night. It starts with a blast of spices and greens and fades down to an incense woody base. When I first tried it I thought it was a woman’s been chypre but now I smell just a touch of fougere. Nice!
In other news, my sourdough starter is ready for lift off. It’s about the days ahead of schedule but I even tried the float test. Sadly I won’t have time to nurse a loaf until Sunday but still. I’m very excited!
Woman’s green* chypre
Ooh, the sourdough is super exciting! I love fresh homemade bread. Let us know how the first loaf tastes. I bet it will be amazing.
I absolutely will. My mom used to make bread with a bead machine when I was young so this will be my first time making sourdough with only an oven. The starter smells so divine that I’m getting impatient.
Wearing No. 19 EdT in my finally air-conditioned library. Feels sooo good!
Yay for a/c!
You smell wonderful!
Sounds perfect.
Terracotta for me this morning. I really do need to run some errands today. I’m stalled by the desire to stay in my cool apartment…
It’s tempting not to go out into the humidity!
SL Fourreau Noir. It is so so so good.
Wearing Lutens Cuir Mauresque.
Went to Ulta yesterday to try the new Organza Indecence. They did not have a tester, but I hustled the SA until he opened one of the boxes on display :). It, unfortunately, seems to have been reformulated. I have the remainings of a vintage one; the new one has considerably less vanilla and more prominent wood, the old one opens with kind of boozy notes, which I do not remember from years ago, but like; altogether, the new one is not such a powerhouse as the vintage one for me, but it might be because they rebalanced the notes and I don’t smell them as well as the old notes, I do not know
Interestingly, the moment I sprayed it on the tester, SA without a pause asked me: ‘Do you like it?” Would it be normal to me years ago, I wonder?
New OI? Ooh. Ok, so since Les Parfums Mythiques it’s been reformulated again? I have the orig and Mythiques and think they’re pretty similar except for the original’s boozy opening. Does the new one smell different from them both?
I have not unfortunately tried Les Parfums Mythiques.
How do you like CM? I find it a bit difficult to wear
I like it very much. I do not find it particularly difficult, but then, I have quite a collection of leather parfums, and some of them really really are, so perhaps my perspective is somewhat skewed on this. However, I do not know that I would pay for a FB, not to mention it is a non-export, as far as I remember. I bought a small decant and happily enjoying it.
One more thing, it stays close to the skin for me after the first sharpish opening…though it is more mellow and has kind of sweet note as time goes, I do not generally go for skin scents, especially if they cost a ton.. one more reason I would not buy a FB
I adore Cuir Mauresque – it was one of those that was part of the export line for a limited time a few years ago.
I just read reviews on Basenotes – wow! Looks like people are commenting on a dozen of completely different perfumes! I wonder if it has gone through reformulations, or it is just our olfactory differences?
Cuir d’Ange today for me.
I’m really liking that moody moon photo.
It looks machine altered, doesn’t it? But I think he says in the comments that he shot it through a bush, or something.
Rozy edp for me today. Trying to figure out where to go for my birthday in Sept. I have a passport that expires sometime next year but doesn’t have any stamps so clearly I need to go someplace foreign for a few days. Currently tilting towards either Reykjavik or Copenhagen.
You smell lovely — and fun conundrum to have. I love Copenhagen, only ever been to the Reykjavik airport!
ohh! what a great idea! I think I’d lean towards Copenhagen in September, it can get pretty grim (but still beautiful of course!) in autumn in both destinations but in Copenhagen there’s more to do indoors 🙂
Could you do both Copenhagen and Reykjavik? I don’t know how much time you have at your disposal but I think IcelandAir lets you do free long layovers in Reykjavik if you’re en route elsewhere, and WOW Air, based in Reykjavik, has baseline cheap flights (a la JetBlue, etc.) to/from all its destinations. This talk of Nordic destinations has me longing for cooler, crisper weather. I have not yet found a go-to scent for the disgustingly hot and humid mid-Atlantic mid-July.
I am wearing Tauer Rose Flash today. I like the boozy twist to it.
I’m wearing Angel but don’t worry — I’m home alone.
Can I sit next to you?
Come on by! I’ve got Angel to spare.
Slathering myself with cedar EO to keep the bugs at bay! I actually like this smell……
Cedar oil’s beautiful! LUSH have a new solid conditioner that’s laden with cedar eo and smells delicious in the shower.
gosh I’m overdue for a visit to LUSH, and that sounds phenomenal! is it a very heavy conditioner? my hair is quite fine and needs no incentive to lie flat…
No, i think it’s called bounce or something- made for volumising 🙂
oh perfect! I’ll look for it today!
Actually Parley, if you’re still there- it’s called The Plumps. It’s bright pink, hard to miss 🙂
Continuing of my leather theme – Cuir Velour by Naomi Goodsir. I think this one might even be ok for warmer weather 🙂
Oh yes, another leather lover 🙂 I actually think I have a sample of that, need to find it. How do you like it?
I love Cuir Velour and can totally see wearing it in summer. Carner Barcelona Cuirs is another good for summer leather woody one.
Back from vacation and, alas, back at work. I’m wearing Phi today, over the vestiges of last night’s Rose Delight body oil. It’s a rose riot in my office!
I wore Phi last night. It must be lovely over Tauer’s rose oil.
A rose riot sounds just about perfect, especially as an antidote to that first day back at work after vacay.
Despite my desire for reliability and predictability today, this combination is really appealing to the rose side of me.
Jealous! I really need to get some Phi.
I’m trying it for the first time today, from a sample, and it’s pretty much well established on my “need” list already! It’s so beautiful and rich.
Great way to go back to work.
Another morning when I couldn’t decide on a fragrance so I chose Eau de Rochas since I’m almost done with the bottle. I really love this fragrance but wish it lasted longer.
oh but you smell delicious the few hours it hangs around! I love eau de rochas!
My FB of Hiram Green’s Dilettante arrived yesterday, so I am wearing the spritzed on version and it’s gorgeous. Still waiting for my special Travalo I ordered especially for this scent, so will dab on from tiny sample throughout the day, not that it needs it much since lasting power is really great.
BTW, I love the new Hiram Green bottles. Much improved now that the poofy atomizer contraption is gone.
I am jealous as I want one of those new bottles, although I don’t mind the old ones, but am coming slowly and sadly to realize that even in the best circumstances, orange blossom and I don’t get along. And I already have Voyage and Shangra-la. Poor me. Ha. Anyway, you smell great. I just get a wee bit of a headache if it is on my person.
Lucky you to have these two scents, old bottles or not. Just use them diligently until you will need new ones 😉 I love Shangri-La, and Moon Bloom, but I only had them in travel sprays so far, and use them occasionally, so they are still quite full. I think Dilettante will get used up much more quickly.
Wearing Fleur Narcotique for the 2nd time today…
I like the very early opening but then I get strong, strong lychee.
If you enjoy lychee you should check it out…but I am not really a fan of fruit/lychee in such large doses it appears…
I love Fleur Narcotique, but need to test that one in the daytime to see if I get the lychee note. I have a habit of trying new fragrances at bedtime, on the theory that if I hate it I can sleep through it … but of course that means I also sleep through significant portions of the development. 🙂
Today I am wearing Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino Acqua.
How do you like in comparison to NP and NPF? I think I like the original the best, but haven’t done intensive testing.
I like them all but think I enjoy the Acqua the most because he lends a salty factor to the Neroli and I like the drydown. I sprayed a few small sprays on myself at 8:00 this morning and now it’s almost 3:00 and I can still detect it on myself.
Going to test out Une Rose de Kandahar today, work be damned. I’ve been hearing about this and haven’t gotten around to wearing it.
Yum.
I am wearing Beige today. I couldn’t choose, so I went with a scent that is always great for me.
Twins. Always beautiful and elegant!
Another scent to calm the chaos!
I’m wearing the Aedes de Venustas signature perfume – I bought the travel spray and refills about a week ago. It matches the giant rhubarb in my mother’s garden very nicely.
Spent some time by the second biggest lake in EU (Lake Peipus), picked chanterelles and am reading The Girls by Emma Cline to see what the fuss is about.
I really enjoyed The Girls – I hope you do too.
That’s encouraging, thank you!
That sounds like a lovely day. Curious what you will think about The Girls. Like CindyK, I enjoyed reading it, but the huge fuss? Not so sure. It’s good along side of the kind of gripping and also problematic Girls on Fire.
So far it’s decent, but I don’t expect I’ll love it. Let’s see. But it moves blissfully fast: I’ve been reading The Age of Wonder and the Mitford-Waugh letters; both enjoyable, but I needed a change of pace.
Did you like Girls on Fire?
Have you ever read any of the novels by Icelandic writer Sjon? I have recently finished Moonstone: the Boy who never was and I have a feeling you might like it. It’s beautifully written – about a gay, teenage boy at the time of the flu epidemic who gies to his local movies and is taken with Irma Vep from Les Vampires. The narrative is quite layered…dreamy and gritty. Anyway, your day sounds perfect.
No, I have not, but they have been recommended to me – or maybe you mentioned it here? What do you say, are they more autumn-winter reads?
Moonstone is only 150 pages – so I think of it as a short escape read
You are enjoying what sounds like an ideal boliday. I’ll be interested to see what you make of The Girls as something about it doesn’t really appeal from reviews but they are very positive.
I admit that I’m reading it more to be part of the conversation, not because it naturally appeals to me. Not a bad book, however.
#LoveForLeslieJ
I made the mistake of checking the news online last night right before going to bed, and then I compounded it by committing the ultimate sin–actually looking at Twitter. This morning I still feel like my soul needs disinfecting. So for my SOTD I’ve gone with S-Perfume 100% Love (courtesy of a generous perfume fairy).
Have a good day, all, and spread some love around.
If only our delightful scents could neutralize the divisiveness…But, we can spread the love one spray or dab at a time <3
Memo Ilha do Mel today. I feel like I should be on a beach.
Oh, I want a sample of that. Tell me all about it. You think it is only a summer scent?
Prada Iris Absolue with tea of the day/week/month/summer (I’m a creature of habit): MF Iskandar. I caught a nasty cold on a long plane journey and everything exhausts me, the only thing that makes me feel good again is tea. So I drink a whole lot of tea!
I have no idea how much I sprayed of the Iris but I’m pretty confident it’s unable to offend even when projecting strongly. I can’t smell or taste a thing but I KNOW Iskandar and Iris Absolue are good and that’s still comforting.
LOVE MF Iskandar. I very belatedly recommended it on the thread about violet scents/teas/etc. a few days ago.
it’s so good! I limited myself to buying only one tin of tea from MF when I visited Paris and though I sniffed em all I fell completely for Iskandar 🙂 not sure what violets have to do with alexander the great but who cares 😀
Wearing Hiram Green’s Shangri-La today.
I had a nasty accident involving table saw kickback over the weekend, so I am trying to distract from my swollen and very bruised face by smelling delightful.
How awful! hope you recover soon!
How awful and scary! I hope you heal quickly and am sure Shangra-la will help.
Scary is the operative word. I am however very grateful that I didn’t have all my teeth shattered or anything badly broken – hence the cheery Hiram Bloom.
Scary doesn’t even begin to cover what you went through. Glad to hear that it was bumps and bruises and nothing worse!
So sorry about the accident, but you smell beautiful.
Wow, thank goodness you are not hurt any worse.
Late to the party, but wanted to say, how awful, and such a relief that you weren’t badly injured.
Morning, good morning. First lecture yesterday–went OK–and today is the one I’ve been scrambling to write since Sunday. Wish me luck, or as my mother would have said, ” Luck to you–the luck you deserve!” My dear mama had a bit of old school Protestant Work Ethic going on! I’m facing the day in my red boots and an over-spray of Lyric, and I feel as though I have a thought bubble of rosy incense over my head that people can apply to for answers to all questions: “How are you today, Frances…oh, I see your sprained ankle is much better. That’s good news!” “Did the Y2 students get the news about the internship? Oh, I see, you don’t believe in them. Don’t worry then…” It’s a peaceful place to be, underneath the Lyric umbrella. I may even get to my own work, if people continue to answer their own questions and wander off fully satisfied.
Have an excellent day, everyone!
“Red boots and a overspray of lyric” – wonderful!
Even though it is to hot for it, I was craving Casmir. That is my sotd.
You’re brave to wear Casmir in the summer. I love it, but would think twice.
Late again today! I’ve gotta get my perfume life prioritized! HA HA
SOTD: Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose. A goodie for summer, once I get past the 1st few minutes of constant sneezing! 🙂
Got to try Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss last weekend….pretty good stuff! Not sure if’s it FB worthy, but maybe a rollerball? My 15 yr old likes it too. Can’t keep up with the flankers anymore…..
It’s so lovely that nearly everything mainstream is available in rollerballs now!
Wearin the new Amouage, Lilac Love which is more like an abstract of the color lilac, not the flower. (Actually no lilac is listed in the notes.) it is a gorgeous creamy floriental that “feels” purple-ish! Loving it!
Feu d’Issey…it still rocks my world. Discovered a new scent corridor on my walk yesterday: flax, tussock, grasses and broom…all wet. It was like entering an old, roof in need of repair, hay barn…it was fantastic!
Enjoy your buck moon! It was a beanie and puffer jacket moon down here…and I’m off to Central Otago for a few days camping tomorrow. Taking my warmest sleeping bag but will need my dogs to snuggle me up…the call of the wild. Don’t you love sleeping in a tent when the moon is bright and the landscape is all silvery shadows…and the grassis all crunchy with frost. Can’t wait.
You’re brave! Keep warm as much as you can 🙂
That sounds amazing!!!
I absolutely do not, but hope you have a wonderful time!
SOTD = sampling the original Agent Provocateur EdP. If I had known about this back when it was first released, I totally would have worn this!
That one’s on my list to try in the fall!
I love AP original!
Slept till 10 today. One of those days where I found a sample of Florabotanica that I’m pretty sure they made for me at Sephora about six months ago, so I’ve put some on today. It really is a nice one, I’m very fond of herbal florals. But it’s also got competition: I spilled coffee on my bedsheets this morning, and in an attempt to purge my hair of the last bits of blue and green dye I washed it with some LUSH body wash (Rose Jam), for the SLS. Anyway, it’s pleasantly cacophonous right now.
I received my proper bridesmaid dress in the mail today, thanks for everyone who put up with my fretting about it last week!
Now back to work. I started Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing last night, and I am really looking forward to picking it up again. So I better get work done!
Eris’ Night Flower for me today. I didn’t suffocate yesterday’s interviewee ( and can’t recall what I was wearing!), so we’ll see how Night Flower goes for today’s applicant.
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver which feels like personal air con and really needed in London’s sudden heatwave!
I’m wearing a couple of dabs of Red Door, from a mini that I picked up in an antique shop a few years ago and have hardly touched. I like it more than I remembered. I’d also forgotten how big this is. That dab goes a long way.
late to report on wearing leather oud…decided purely because this little decant is evaporating, and I might as well enjoy it while it lasts!
