Hump Day again! If you have a free moment, do tell us your fragrance of the day.
I'm wearing Comme des Garçons Vettiveru.
Reminder: this Friday, 10/30, will be the Halloween Special: wear the fragrance that would match your fantasy Halloween costume (or your real Halloween costume, or one you've worn in the past).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2015, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: shown is the Jun Takahashi Undercover Hamburger Queen Sweatshirt, £110 at Dover Street Market.
It’s Serge Lutens Chergui for me. I saw it on the comments yesterday and made up my mind. Hopefully it adds another layer of warmth to my already six. Thanks for the decant, jjlook.
Second day in a row with Chergui for me today. I applied more than I had yesterday. I think that makes an improvement. It is quite warm and lovely for the rainy, gray day we have here (remnants of Hurricane Patricia). Not sure yet if I need the FB, but I’ll will definitely need a larger decant.
I think I may have to hunt down a sample of this. It’s getting a lot of love!
I was thinking the same.
I have a sample, but it’s one of those I don’t let myself wear because Indon’tvwant to use it up. I think that means I need another sample simply to enjoy!
You’re welcome!
I was thinking about vintage Samsara to liven up my organic chemistry lab.
I’ve been reading The All-Pervading Melodious Drumbeat, a recounting of the life of a Buddist “saint” (I use quotes not to mock but because that’s a good corollary) and it mentions Samsara. It’s kind of hilarious that Guerlain would name a fragrance as freedom from the cycle of death in rebirth is one of the missions of Buddism, if I understand correctly. Very interesting stuff.
They did not think the name through, that’s for sure. But vintage Samsara is fantastic.
I disagree- see straight from the Guerlain website; Samsara signifies “eternal rebirth” in Sanskrit and is part of the “wheel of life”, a religious reference of Tibetan Buddhism. It evokes the perpetual voyage from one existence to the next, an invitation to serenity and harmony.
I think that’s a beautiful description and if your are a practicing Buddhist we are all stuck in samsara 😉
That is a beautiful description and makes me want to spray Samsara over the Incense I used earlier. Thanks.
I’m sure Guerlain wants to put a nice spin on it but the whole point of samsara is that it’s an endless loop of suffering, a non-stop cycle of birth and death and reincarnation into misery, and the goal of Buddhism is to eventually escape this cycle. My husband is a Buddhist and trust me: it’s not a nice name for a perfume.
As am I – and I don’t see any problem with the name probably because I am good at practicing Non- attachment ????
Ahead of the calendar, November by Christopher Brosius. Not really the Novemberiest thing I’ve ever smelled (Nature Millenaire pour Homme by Yves Rocher and Brandy come a lot closer) but not bad.
But he has October covered with Burning Leaves and Gathering Apples 🙂
Ooh, I just got to smell this one and I love it! I could not have imagined that I wanted a gourmand version of Black March but thankfully Brosius knows better 🙂
I have a sample someplace and I like it but don’t remember it wowing me, probably because the weather hasn’t been right for it. I love Black March so I’ll give November another chance when it finally cools off here.
L’Ame Soeur by Divine.
Nice choice!
Love!
It’s damp and threatening rain today so I went with Lyric Woman for warmth and comfort.
Guerlain’s French Kiss for me today
I’mv loving this one as well!
I’m in Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile EDT today. At first I thought it wasn’t going to do as well in the slightly colder weather we’re having now as it did last month, but once my skin finally warmed it up it’s just as lovely as ever.
Sweet Redemption by Kilian. A juicy, potent orange blossom.
Love Sweet Redemption. One of my favourite Kilians.
I had an orange blossom craving this morning as well, despite the cool weather and waking up in the pitch black nowadays. Drained my decant of California Reverie…. Guess I am “California dreamin’ on such a winter’s day….” Well sort of. I am in California, and it isn’t quite winter… but the Mamas and the Papas got the mood right!
Want goofy procrastination? Why not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kcmwXUdDCE
Thank you for that 🙂
Amazingly bad lip syncing (and just as well since they don’t even bother to pretend with microphones) but hugely enjoyable all the same, thank you!
Great, this has made me giggle. Have now moved on to old Abba songs!
Those haircuts !!! ACK !!! LOL
Lovely stuff. I don’t usually get on well with orange blossom (most of the time, on me, OB is soap. all soap. the only place I want to smell like soap is in the shower, thanks), but Sweet Redemption isn’t the slightest bit soapy.
Spritzed Bois des Iles on my winter infinity scarf (which ends up being worn with everything) and it’s still there today….looooovely. This is going to be one of my main cold-weather scents – I can feel it.
Have a good day!
Question for those of you that might know – how would you compare Champagne de Bois to Bois des Iles? I’m about to look up some bloggers’ takes, but I’d be curious to know what all of you think as well. If it’s a dupe I can live with, my need for a bottle of BdI may diminish…
Funny – CdB was my gateway to major sandalwood, and BdI. There is a lot similar between them, but also a lot different. I only wear a tiny dab of CdB when I wear it b/c it is more robust and has tons of projection. I might wear a little bit more of BdI…. In any case, they both have a very rich sandalwood, but CdB is rougher with other woods and spices and a hefty musk to tie it together. It’s really gorgeous, complex, and well designed. BdI is as you already know, so I won’t bother explaining. But…. just imagine you have some lovely unfinished wood which is the CdB, and the polished oil rubbed of the same is BdI.
I want to try CdB too. Great question! Thanks for asking.
oops not sure how my reply ended up here. 🙂
Glad to help!
Thank you for your typically thoughtful reply Ann!
Mals86 wrote a nice thing about this question, so def make that one of the stops for a fuller review! http://themuseinwoodenshoes.com/fragrance-throwdown-chanel-bois-des-iles-vs-sonoma-scent-studio-champagne-de-bois/
Meanwhile, for my two cents, I love Champagne de Bois, as well as a number of other sandalwood scents (Santal Massoia, Nirvana Black), but I actually do not care for Bois des Iles (I KNOW. I’m sorry! I’m only mentioning it for SCIENCE.) So to me the differences are fairly significant. I can’t recall it clearly, so maybe someone else can weigh in on this, but I almost wonder if Tam Dao is closer?
Science is very important! 😉
I also think that Tam Dao is very similar to BdI
I’m beginning to think my not having that experience is due to my bottle being the EDP and not the EDT. What do you think?
Oh, thanks! BdI is indeed more polished. Both lovely, though.
Thanks for the essay!
You’re allowed to dislike whatever you choose, and science is indeed the best reason to mention everything.
I actually have a bottle of Tam Dao EDP already, but hadn’t experienced it as being close to Bois des Iles, but maybe that’s because it’s the EDP and not the EDT? Not sure. I know I love both, but maybe Champagne de Bois bridges the gap between them and I’ll just have to end up with all three….
CdB is REALLY STRONG! With eleventy million exclamation points. Really, really strong. BdI is not quite so knock-your-nose-out. Both sandalwood heavy. I don’t think you need both, but I am not a huge sandalwood fan.
Thanks for the tip dear!
I need to dig out my SSS samples. I wasn’t really sure what to make when I first went tried them a year ago. Wonder what I think now.
The comments here suggest that they do not lack in potency – spray lightly!
Funny interview on NPR’s Marketplace yesterday… Kai Ryssdal interviewing Donna Karan. She says a woman’s most indispensable fashion possession is a scarf… ! http://www.marketplace.org/topics/business/big-book/donna-karan-her-chaotic-life-fashion
Random OT comment–I checked out her Urban Zen ready-to-wear on her website… looks a lot like Eileen Fisher, but even more expensive…
I love wearing scarfs.
Scarves. Yep.
Me too. 🙂
Scarfs or scarves: I love them too. I have a drawer full of instant colour, mood and texture.
Do you find yourself matching scarves to scents ever? I haven’t done that but I feel like I’d be more likely to do that than matching scents to outfits.
Me too!
Donna Karan was also on Dr. Oz talking about aromatherapy.
She was on Fresh Air recently too (haven’t heard yet but have it saved).
I’ve become dependent on my grey, thick infinity scarves during the winter. They go with everything, keep me warm, and allow me to sniff whenever necessary. DK knows what she’s talking about.
Recently, The WSJ had an article on scarves. I was too busy to read the text of it but managed to look at the pictures with captions, in particular, the level of scarf-tying competency one has to have to achieve THE Look. BTW, the article was gender balanced for the subject: 3 examples of women, 1 androgynous and 2 obviously male pics. Anyway, the truth of the matter is that while I like the idea of wearing scarves (and I wear them), I can be a star in the Worst Scarf Tie-ers in America series.
Rain, rain, rain here today! To cheer me up I decided to wear Jean-Louis Scherrer. It cuts through the cold, wet, yucky day and wakes me up!
I have a little sample vial of that – love the green of it. You smell great!
Safran Troblant. LOVE it : )
Just bought a small decant of this but haven’t tried it yet. Planning on it for tomorrow!
You smell delicious!
One of the few I have a backup for. 🙂
FYI- fragrancenet has 3.4 oz for around $67. Not affiliated, just enabling 🙂
TF Black Violet. Witchy and empowering, for the surely stressful work day ahead.
So envious. I want to smell witchy and empowered too.
Oh, that would be good today. It’s rainy and chilly here.
SOTD is Neela Vermiere Pichola. I love all her fragrances.
I am supposed to have a sample of this waiting in my mailbox when I get home. Looking forward to it…
Can’t decide- the two S’s from Guerlain- samsara or Shalimar.. Someone can pick
Samsara because I’m curious about it today, though I haven’t tried it in years. Must remedy this.
How are you?
Ok! You should give it a try- maybe if you can find an older version.
I am doing ok! Getting bigger everyday- 30 weeks and heading into the homestretch. How are you?
I will definitely be doing so.
So excited for you, and glad you don’t have to suffer the third trimester in the heat! Everyone I know who has been heavily pregnant in the summer said that was the absolute worst.
I agree – Samsara is always lovely!
Well, my dentist appointment has been cancelled. Part of me is happy because I don’t have to deal with crazy drivers and it’s wet and rainy. When it’s wet and rainy people seem to get even stupider when driving. I’m dealing with the extreme dry down of the Lyric body products. I think it’s a vintage Bal day. Still bummed that when I woke up this morning the bottle of vintage Amouage Gold I was bidding on slipped away.
Yum, vintage Bal.
SOTD is the vestiges of last nights Tabac Aurea which was followed up this morning with a spritz of Tauer’s Vanilla Flash. Mmmm!
Still rainy and dreary here as well but I can’t complain, even though it’s still hot and humid. Waiting rather impatiently for some real fall weather! Wanting to bust out my boots and scarves which rarely see the light of day in this state. Maybe in another month or so…I am envious of all you folks enjoying brisk weather and warming perfumes!
Winging my way to CA as I type via free wifi on JetBlue. (Starting to really like this airline…especially as my husband is joining me in a few days on a nonstop from JFK to Reno for $84 one way!)
Stella for me. Who could be bothered by fleeting rose?
You smell great Lizzie! Do travel safely (and meanwhile I will reply to your message!) 🙂
Can this week be over, already? Geesssh! Worst work week in the history of work weeks! (LOL)! Commenting and reading posts on NST is truly the highlight of my day! Without all of you, I would truly be insane! My SOTD is Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford. At least I smell good! 🙂
Ha! I totally am in the same mood as you! The week from hell- my last week at the old job and now the new job tells me there may be a delay with my start date due to the fact my fingerprints were rejected because I have a laceration on my thumb from vacation 2 weeks ago! So no income for who knows how long until my thumb heals enough to get a decent print. :(( <—that's a double frown right there! But we do smell fantastic!
Wow, all that and no fall clothes. You need to check your horoscope. (This was the standard reply in an ofc I once worked in, whenever anyone had bad luck.)
Wearing SL Santal Blanc again. Tried layering AG Nuits d’Hadrien over it, but just a meh combination. To be corrected after laundry & shower.
I’m very afraid to read my horoscope. I’m fear I’m doomed 🙂
How ridiculous! I hope it is all sorted out soon. I’ve been having a lousy time at work lately too and you would not believe how much it comforts me to remember that when I get home I can put on some perfume! (Well, all of YOU would believe it probably.) Beauty in one’s life makes so many bad things bearable.
So true! But to be fair, I have a very low tolerance for inefficiency which to seems synonymous with stupidity, at least in my mind. Can No One think outside ANY box these day? Is every system of human management based on inflexible algorithms?! It seems the world is run with complete and total apathy these days. Sorry, I’ll stop ranting now but, GEEZ LOUISE! Drives me nuts 🙂
Jasmine Rouge is so gorgeous! I wish I had some extra $$ for this!
I am wearing CD Addict. The winter hasn’t started yet and I am already dreaming of spring and summer.
Are you in a place with long or terrible winters?
Yes I am in Montreal, I am tired of long and very cold winters
I am so with you on that. I am already counting the months till spring! also, love CD Addict.
I haven’t worn CD Addict in a while. Must remedy! It could remain Fall/No Snow Winter forever and it would feel like heaven!
I’m in BonBon by Viktor & Rolf and loving it.
It’s Halloween week you know…
Candy, caramel, sugar…get it?
🙂 this must be my subconscious reason for choosing Prada Candy today!
Started off in Miller Harris La Pluie from a small sample, which is fast becoming a favourite gentle scent. Then popped into Fenwicks on the way back from a meeting and tried a good few spritzes of Amyris pour Femme, which is wafting nicely and feels very happy.
I love that Miller Harris scent.
Do tell – what does it smell like?
It feels like the gentlest whisper of ylang ylang breeze while lying on a beach somewhere tropical or maybe even Southern European on a slightly overcast day staring at summery waves – calm but nothing too shimmering. I think it might be my perfect gentle smell – avoids powdery or talcy but at least as comforting. Definitely worth trying a spray if ever you see it and you are at all partial to gentle ylang ylang.
Well that sounds really lovely! I could use some gentle tropical breezes…..
One of my top 5 favourite summer perfumes, u smell gorgeous!
Beautiful description.
It’s Black Cat, from Velvet & Sweet Pea for me. I’m ready for Halloween already!
No idea what it smells like but wonderful name for both the perfume and the company!
Black Cashmere today. This one got put away for the summer and I sort of forgot how much I love wearing it. This has got to be one of my favorites, though.
the reformulation in the tall bottle smells much less potent to me. but in any event, Black Cashmere is easily one of the best incense-y orientals eva!
vinty Balmain Jolie Madame. This totally works for me on damp, rainy, chilly days.
Oh man yeah, that’s the perfect pick-me-up for gross weather!
Good stuff, right there.
I find it so comforting somehow! Maybe because it feels no-nonsense? Tragically I opened my “B” drawer last week to discover half of my mini had spilled. I wish you all had been there to hear the actual words I actually said: “Oh no! My precious!” Haha. Total gollum moment. Needless to say I smeared the contents of that drawer all over my arms and smelled great for the rest of the day.
Hahahahah that is an amazing story!! Glad you got to mop it up onto yourself a bit at least! 🙂
It’s still warm here, and I’ve been on a 2.5-day binge with Annick Goutal Songes edt. I think it’s come to and end, though. Not quite hitting the spot today.
I needed some spice after yesterdays very clean scent, so I chose Tibetan Mountain Temple. I love the combination of vetiver, patchouli and ginger in this one.
This is a great cheap thrill. It is very well done. It smells like a vetiver-y chai tea!
It does. I love how peppery the ginger is in this one.
Wearing the White Linen parfum I got in the recent swap. It’s gorgeous and full of memories for me.
Does it still smell the same as back in the day? I have memories of that too
I believe this is an older bottle but I don’t know the exact vintage. I bought a small purse spray size bottle about 5-6 years ago and that still smelled good, though not as rich as it used to (what does?)
I’m wearing Ys-Uzac Pohadka, a light and slightly minty tobacco scent. It’s dark, rainy, cool, breezy, and there may be thunderstorms later. Days like this, “Stormy Weather” starts playing in my head:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE5_fDmPt0w
I remember I really liked this and was considering a FB at one time. I’d be really interested to know where they got that name, “pohadka” is identical with a Czech word that translates as “fairytale” 🙂
I think that’s it. It also has a subtitle, “Ainsi la nuit,” which refers to a piece of music, if I understand correctly. Here’s what the website has to say:
“POHADKA is a sketch of a beautiful memory from my childhood.
“A daring scent that reflects a breathtaking landscape over the Lavaux vineyard terraces. A view over the Geneva Lake at an autumn night.
“The Immortelle represents the sunburnt walls and stones in the vineyard. The secretive Vanilla and the leathery Tobacco portray the smoky twilight. The fresh cut vines get alive through the grassy Shiso leaves and a hint of Jasmine…
“This perfume is named after the magnificent cello sonata from Leos Janacek, that I love. The word Pohádka means A Tale in Czech.
“Independent, Delight, Sharp
“Ainsi la Nuit”
aaaah, thanks for the explanation 🙂
Went into the city today to see the Treasure Ships exhibition at the art gallery- thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂
Went for a wander through the dept stores to try some new fumes. Thought the new Prada range were meh. TF noir femme has a nice drydown. There’s an Armani Prive one I tried on paper- Ambre Eccentrico. Yum! Ambre, tonka, patchouli, cinnamon and prunol are the notes listed on Frangratica. It’s like Jungle L’Elephant but a bit smoother and creamier and not quite as loud. If I didnt already have the elephant it would be a serious consideration. Obviously it’s a ‘tad’ pricier but if anyone would prefer elephant’s slightly less obnoxious twin I recommend trying it.
Oooh, Perthgirl, you don’t know what you’re doing to me! Here I am with Aussie $$$$$, a willing mule, and a new-born lemming to get the full twin-set, as it were. I love the elephant, occasional bad manners and all, and the thought of a more suave twin who could go everywhere, just really appeals!
And Waterdragon- Frangratica mentions something about limited edition too. I didnt ask the Armani girl because she didnt even know they stocked the Prive range
:-/ So I dont know the price either. But Im still somewhat tempted myself…
Hi everyone!
It’s raining pretty heavily here today, and although I usually reach for heavier perfumes when it’s cold, the Osmanthe Yunnan I swapped for (courtesy of the lovely springpansy) is a wonderfully light, summery thing to counteract the dreary weather…
I love OY! Especially layered with Rose Ikebana. Unfortunately, it’s so fleeting on me, I haven’t yet been able to justify more than a sample.
I am wearing Narciso edp, with the body lotion today. I really like it a lot, even though I do not consider it a “me” scent. it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable for that reason. After my dentist appointment I stopped at Ulta and tried Kenzo Flower Elixer. which I did find comfortable and more me. Honestly though, how many vanilla type scents do I need? I think I’m good for now.
I’m meeting a friend for lunch today and wearing just a touch of Tom Ford Fleur de Chine. It’s so pretty! I may have to buy a bottle once my sample is gone.
I think that is becoming a firm favourite – it always seems right and outshines so many others while also maintaining a quiet elegant feel. You smell lovely.
It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
I stopped at our TF counter yesterday with the idea of spritzing this, just to reacquaint and decide how much I like it because I heard it’s been discontinued? Well. It was nowhere to be seen. 🙁 The TF girl had gone for the day so couldnt ask, but Im hoping it hasnt been axed already!
It’s a super rainy and blustery fall day here today. SOTD is vintage Lancome Magie Noire which is like sitting next to a cozy fire. It’s just so elegant and mellow.
Now I am curious about that – must admit I have never tried it but you make it sound very appealing.
The vintage is very similar to the current, which is just a bit watery. You should test it!
I shall – definitely enabling here…
As my sister says, “It smells so French!” I wore that for a while, but developed an allergy to something in it. Glad you find it elegant and mellow, rather than sneeze and itch inducing!
Maybe the oakmoss? I would be very sad if it made me sneeze.
Magie Noire is perfect for a rainy blustery fall day.
Nice description! Sounds lovely.
I think I will join you in this! Though it has a different effect on me – I would say “bracing” rather than “mellow”! Elegant we can all agree on.
So, today I have on this super cozy camel hair blend jacket, and I am wearing Boucheron, which is also cozy and very friendly, and my office mate is staying home, so I have free run of my office. I might put on something stinkier, just because she is not coming in…looking at my sample baggie – Rose Infernale! I’ll put some of that on after I finish my lunch. 🙂
Nice. I look forward to weekends, when I can stay home and wear my stinky scents!
Trying out incense flash from my new sample bounty (thanks NSTer!)
It has a medicinal aspect at the beginning that I’m digging, will help perk me up on this grey morning.
I’m sampling Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh, from the swapmeet. I’m getting a peppery greenish rose with jasmine and magnolia, and something that smells like fir in the background. Not a lot of oudh.
SOTD = Bvlgari Black
I felt like wearing something cozy on this yucky rainy day. Would you believe it will be in the 70s tomorrow? I want Fall to stick around!
Wearing Bottega Venetta today. Just got a sample, wore it yesterday and today. I love the fragrance at the beginning, wish that would last longer. I think I may have scent eating skin, because I have to huff my arm to smell it. I do like it a lot, maybe if I could spray liberally I’d love it, but I’m in work, so, not a good idea. Plus, my new boss told me she does not like rose scents, so I’m being careful with my fragrances. It’s kind of funny, she is a little younger than me, and whatever she is wearing is Super Sweet, and she wears a lot of it.
People are endlessly entertaining! So easily offended and so thoughtlessly offensive. I guess your boss doesn’t care that many others in the world don’t care for huge tidal waves of sweetness? 😉
I love that: “So easily offended and so thoughtlessly offensive”!
I have the same problem with BV. I have to put on a lot to smell it an hour later. For that reason, I’ve never bought a full bottle.
Twin! I bought a bottle +body lotion set from a discounter. Spraying definitely helps, especially over the lotion and on clothing . It’s a soft scent, but I find it has enough presence and lasting power(a full work day) this way.
Might be worth wearing a quiet rose one day and seeing if she even notices.
I’ve been reading the SOTD posts daily for months, so now I want to start joining in. 🙂
Today I’m wearing a sample of SL Un Bois Vanille as part of my search for a vanilla scent. (The top contender is Diptyque Eau Duelle, but I’m not ready to stop sampling yet.) Unfortunately, all I smell is creamy, woody coconut – and I’m not fond of coconut. The search continues.
Welcome, the more the merrier!
Welcome!
Hello, Dottie. Join the happy sniffers!
Welcome!
Welcome Dottie! Joining in makes it that much more fun – glad you decided to do it.
Welcome, DottieCHI! Do tell us what else you’ve tried that didn’t work and also what you are looking forward to trying. I can hook you up with a vanilla sampler as I love vanilla. Click on my name to get my email address.
A qualifier — I can send you a sampler only if you live in the U.S. I don’t want to deal with customs.
Hi Dottie!
Indult by Tihota is a pretty awesome vanilla if you havent tried that one?
It is my anniversary so I am in one of the scents my lovely enabler husband got me recently, ELDO Bijou Romantique. The name also seemed fitting for the day!
Happy anniversary! That’s a great gift. 😀
Happy anniversary! Bijou Romantique is lovely and totally on-theme!
Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary! Nice gift.
Happy anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Katrina!
Happy anniversary! Hooray for an enabler husband.
Happy anniversary! And way to land a good one.
Happy Anniversary Katrina and enabler husband.
Wearing PPC Samarinda today. I’m congested but at least I can still smell stuff.. sort of.
Hello, hello. Back from The Eye Thing, and inspired by Platinum14, about to wear Jean Louis Scherrer. Thank you all for your kindness on Tuesday, by the way: after the op, I could see comments and make out odd words, but I couldn’t read! My brain told me it would all be OK, but it was nevertheless easily the most terrifying twelve hours of my life! So, now I have perfect distance vision again, but putting on make up is a whole exciting new world of blur (I thought that WAS my eye…). The dear one watched on CCTV, and reports that it was “fascinating, absolutely fascinating”. Anyway, a single scentless day made me reach for heavy hitters: Epic yesterday, and today the green powerhouse of JLS. And it’s so nice to have temporary reading glasses now and be able to read what you’re all wearing! You all smell gorgeous.
So glad to hear that all has gone well!
Thank you, Gaynor. You know, I’ve always thought in terms of light and shadow and shades of colours, but all these are more intense and vibrant now, and with that, oddly, my sense of smell, though of course, that may be my imagination, and even if it’s a real effect, it may not last. Today and yesterday, however, fewer sprays worked just as well as twice the number did last week.
I am so happy everything went well. It sounded like a scary business. Best wishes and sunny skies!
Anything’s possible! I’m no expert on the brain, but I’ve a read a lot that suggests it’s more amazing and plastic than we yet know.
I’ve been thinking about you’re op too, really glad to hear it all went well waterdragon!
Thank you. It’s so ni’ve yo be thought of! I have some issues with flicker in my peripheral vision, but it will settle, apparently. I’m very well, bounding and bouncing, but not working because my computer glasses aren’t ready yet, so I’m on sick leave…it’s a total blobbing break for me!
Good news and envying your perfect distance vision.
Glad you are healing well.
Glad it went well! Eyes are scary!
I’m glad that it all has gone according to plan. And Scherrer is great scent!
Just now catching up and oooh my goodness – I’m so glad it went well! Do keep applying therapeutic scent – always beneficial. 🙂
Therapeutic scent–you’re right. Should we develop a category of preventative scents too?
Glad you’re healing well!
So glad things are going well! It’s terrifying to accomplish the simplest of tasks with only one eye. Three cheers for binocular vision! 😀
Ormond Jayne’s Orris Noir today. Nice and rich on a dull day.
Cold and blustery here today with rain off and on, so I decided that I needed some Divine by Divine. Definitely a big floral, and it is brightening up the day for me!
You smell gorgeous!
Totally inappropriate for the cold and grey weather, but I’m wearing Hermes Eau des Merveilles and smell like the sea 😀 I grabbed the bottle without even thinking what I was spraying. I do like it though!
I actually like EdM a little better in cooler weather, so I think you made a great choice!
Experimental day for me today with Habanita layered with Encre Noir,
i like Habanita but its all vanilla and powder on me, so the Encre Noir makes it much more balanced.
Liz Earle Botanical Extract no. 15 this evening.
In Le Labo Vanille 44, because I love it so much in the rain.
Another day in Birch & Black Pepper .
I should wear it when I get back.
It’s great in this Fall weather!
SOTD is Sonoma Scent Studio Velvet Rose.
Checking in super late, as we had a busy day in Sevilla. But for the record, wore A la Nuit for dinner.
