Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2015, part 16

Posted by Robin on 17 September 2015 11 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector editions from Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Issey Miyake and Sarah Jessica Parker; plus a new Eau de Toilette concentration of Tom Ford Black Orchid.

Giorgio Armani Sí bow edition

From Giorgio Armani, Sí "adorned with a couture golden bow" inspired by Armani's runway designs. At Macy's, $120 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Givenchy Dahlia Divin Alicia Keys Limited Edition

From Givenchy, the Dahlia Divin Alicia Keys Limited Edition: "Introducing a new Limited Edition to support Alicia Key's charity: Keep a Child Alive." $110 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Bloomingdales.

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme beech wood bottle

From Issey Miyake, L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme in a 100 ml Eau de Toilette edition finished in beech wood. Available in travel retail only. (via packagingeurope)

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Anniversary Edition

From Sarah Jessica Parker, a 10th anniversary edition of Lovely: "In this Anniversary Edition of Lovely the package was created in the style of romantic vintage bottles but given a modern twist with an exquisite simplicity and luxurious sculptural quality of sweeping curves, polished glass and feminine touches. Donned in a champagne pink metallized finish, the bottle is jewel-like. Every bottle has Sarah Jessica's signature with love & kisses." £49 at Boots in the UK.

Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau de Toilette

From Tom Ford, Black Orchid in Eau de Toilette: "Exposing itself at first moment, Black Orchid Eau de Toilette is a distinctly different encounter. Experience the seductive breakthrough in a new light with its own olfactive journey. With a more open, immediate expression, the custom-grown Tom Ford Black Orchid instantly takes center stage, inviting you inside in a way never before experienced in the classic signature fragrance." Available for pre-order at Barneys (delivery in October), in 50 and 100 ml.

I am a huge fan of Black Orchid and now I’m VERY curious as to what an edt version would smell like. I suppose Sephora will have it in a year?

The old Black orchid ‘Voile de Fleur ‘ was an EDT, wonder if this is a reincarnation or remix of VDF

Me too, I would like more orchid and less fruit. Still want to try Noir femme but haven’t found it anywhere yet.

“Exposing itself at first moment”, “the custom-grown Tom Ford Black Orchid instantly takes center stage” – sounds like the Tom Ford has been translated through a couple of languages then back into English as most of that makes very little sense!

Sense is so Anglo-American! Oh wait – where was TF from again? :)

Am I the only one who thought SJP Lovely was discontinued?

No, I would have thought so too, but hadn’t checked. But apparently it is not only still made, they’re planning a flanker (Sheer Lovely) for next year.
