Tom Ford Soleil Collection Shimmering Body Oil ~ scented body product

Posted by Robin on 3 April 2015 16 Comments

Tom Ford Soleil Collection Shimmering Body Oil

Tom Ford has introduced a scented Shimmering Body Oil as part of the brand's Soleil Collection 2015:

Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil captures the sultry effect of sun-kissed summer skin and tempts the senses with a fragrance of scorching sensuality. This silky and lightweight oil illuminates the skin with shimmers of gold and platinum leaf. The captivating fragrance wraps a bouquet of white florals in a golden, amber-sandalwood embrace—as tempting as a white-sand beach, as irresistible as the perfect tan.

Tom Ford Soleil Collection Shimmering Body Oil is available now for pre-order at Bloomingdales, $70, size unknown.

Isn’t TF about 12 years late in introducing a product like this? Everyone from Nuxe (Prodigieuse oil) on downward to The Body Shop has produced one? And for $70? Stop it.

Well, he did Azuree Soleil under the EL label in 2006 so he may not see his brand as the last to jump on the wagon :-)

I agree with Robin. Everyone is copying Tom Ford when he was at Estee Lauder and did the original Azuree Soleil Eau Fraiche Body Oil that was limited edition and sold out crazy fast from word of mouth. Seems like he’s clearly going after that market again, seeing as the shape of this new bottle is EXACTLY the same shape as the Lauder was/is. Smart guy.

Wasn’t he also one of the very first to kick off the mainstream Oud bandwagon with M7 when he was at EL?

Well, that was when he was at YSL, but yes.

I would love to smell and compare this to the Nuxe/EL Bronze Goddess!

Have seen reports already that it is at least similar to BG, but don’t know how much!

I have been needing to get some of the EL Bronze Goddess and now I want this as well. Oh well, I guess for me the Donatella 2nd quarter damage report will probably be a lot more than the first. LOL!

I’m just waiting for the new ‘fleur de Portofino’ private blend in these summer releases – love the original Neroli Portofino but wasn’t fussed by the Costa azzura or the mandarino d’amalfi

I understand some Saks are already taking pre-orders, so you should not have long to wait!

I can’t wait to smear this stuff on my Xoloitzcuintle, Ekchuah. He’ll love the sparkly glow, and his dry skin will love the moisture.

If this did not include the shimmer I would be all over it!

I actually like the shimmer on pale legs!I’m interested to know how well it disperses, the Nuxe sometimes seems clunky, and sticks inside the bottle with only the oil coming out, without shimmer. The Nuxe’s fragrance makes up for that fact though!lol
