I remember when Kevin reviewed Light Blue Living Stromboli! I remember that he said he had actually been to Stromboli and that it was a beautiful place. However, I can’t remember anything he said about the perfume due to the competing image of melting mozzarella, provolone, salami, sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, and freshly baked Italian bread dough. 😉

Hopefully Salina & Lipari associations are less foody!

Coincidentally, I just scrubbed off the original Light Blue and I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with this fragrance. The reviews range from loving it to finding it pleasantly dull, but I swear it smells like a slightly spoiled grapefruit and couldn’t get it off fast enough. Anyone else?

      Me!
love the way it smells in the bottle, and on others, but the second it hits my skin Bleck.

You are lucky you escaped with spoiled grapefruit, on me it goes straight up bug spray.

Salina is in Italy? As a Californian, my brain autocorrected the name to “Sunset in Salinas,” which doesn’t exactly evoke “a glass of Malvasia wine sipped at sunset on a freesia lined terrace.” (No offense to the good people of Salinas.)

I’m Italian, so the description is perfectly what Salina is.
      What do Salina remember you?
      I’m just curious 🙂

The Salinas in California is an inland agricultural area — they call it the “salad bowl” of the world. It’s probably not as beautiful as the Salina in Italy 😉

The Salina smells the most like Light Blue out of all the flankers. From the bottle it smells really citrusy and orange blossomy, but when it hits the skin it morphs into the original light blue, but a bit more refined. I really want a bottle. The lasting power SUUUUUCKS, though. It could barely last 30 minutes. I have the two flankers, I just need the original Light Blue and this one to complete the collection. I just could not pay $99 for this with that horrible lasting power, though.
