It's Elvis Presley's birthday! (If you're in Memphis, you can go to the Elvis Birthday Dance Party at the Holiday Inn.) What fragrance are you wearing to celebrate?
I'm wearing Parfums de Nicolaï Kiss Me Tender.
Reminder: this Friday, 1/9, is Foody Friday: wear a gourmand or foody fragrance.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2015, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Great choice for Elvis Robin! 🙂
Today is another day off work, so again some extra time for perfume wearing..
#1 Iris Poudre (deciding on which travel bottles I’ll get)
#2 Gucci Rush. Because im not really comfortable wearing it in public
#3 Iris Silver Mist. Just because.
I wish I could say it was on purpose! But I’d actually picked the fragrance and the image before I found out it was his birthday. So, serendipity.
Serendipity rocks again. Perfect choice!
Maybe it’s just because I am still enamored with Iris Poudre, but I think it is pretty amazing for a perfume to please so many perfumistas yet get complements from regular people, that works in all seasons, and has that cool yet cozy characteristics. Definitely worth a travel bottle 😉
I shopped my stash this morning and decided to go with something light-ish. I’m wearing Gold Leather by Atelier. It’ll probably be gone in two hours time on me because Atelier colognes never last on me, but I’m liking how airy it is for a leather scent. For some reason it fits with the bitter cold we’re having today. Drove to work in 6F weather. Took half the commute time (hour) for the car to warm up.
Ugh…can’t decide if I will go outside at all today.
I think you may live around the same area I do (PA) and if so, I can tell you: DON”T GO OUTSIDE. I’ve had to run a few errands for the office today and each time I’ve been freezing! It’s so cold (and my car is old) I have to let my car warm up a minute before I leave.
I didn’t listen — I went out. It is freaking cold. I don’t like to do it, but I let my car warm up for 10 minutes while I came back inside.
Oh – the cold! You could feel it rip the air out of the lungs last night… overnight I thought the house would blow away with the horrid wind chills! This morning, the car was groaning. I am so happy it’s finally 11 degrees AND NO WIND! Thank god for small miracles. At least the sun is shining and I’m not shoveling.
Oh Jenkr, I just discovered Gold Leather this year and it is total love for me! If it weren’t quite so expensive I’d have bought it without a second though… but my birthday is coming up so we’ll see, hehe. 🙂 The spicy jammy note on top of the airy woodsy leather is just fabulous. It was probably of the more fun scents I’ve blogged about too. I wish I was wearing it right now…
But man, it sounds like it is even colder in PA than it is in MD…. brrr.
Gold Leather is a nice one, but I wouldn’t buy a bottle because it doesn’t last long on me at all. I smell it more on my clothes than my wrists. Despite what Atelier claims about their perfume-strength cologne, they never last very long on me.
GL is wonderful though and really what I needed for the day 🙂
I’m wearing Brin de Réglisse. Yesterday I wondered why I almost never wear it, and as I was scrambling around to find the decant this morning I realized that one reason is I can never find it. Must get organized. But it was worth the search.
I spent most of this week looking for what I mean to wear tomorrow! So join you in the “must get organized” camp.
BdR is a very lovely fragrance. I was very seriously considering buying it last year. It definitely hovers on the list.
Today was a lovely, sunny day here. I’m wearing L’Eau d’Hiver.
Yum!
I’m wearing SSS Rose Voluptué. I’ve only just gotten interested in rose, and this may not be my perfect rose (if I’m totally honest with myself, I think my perfect rose actually smells like dessert), but it’s certainly satisfying my craving for flowers at the moment.
Have you tried Aerin Evening Rose? It has some amber to it and is a little dark, but not too much so.
I haven’t tried it, but I know I saw it last time I was at Nordstrom. I’ll have to give it a spritz next time I’m over there.
Evening Rose is a nice one.
I’m starting a rose phase too, and after looking at the notes of Rose Volupte on Fragrantica…..mmmm. Another on my to-try list.
dessert rose: try Tauer’s Une Rose Vermeille!
Just looked that one up, and it sounds enticing! Definitely on my sample list now!
Expensive but delish dessert rose: Profumum Rosae Mundi
I’m continuing with florals and wearing a Smell Bent Frankensmellie, Jasmine Tobacco. This may be FB worthy. It depends on how it lasts on me. I’ve had hit-and-miss luck with the staying power of Smell Bent Fragrances.
Yesterday’s post reminded me of Reglisse Noir. Will apply shortly.
Natori for me today, as it just seems to be what I’m obsessed with at the moment. It’s either sandalwood (Tam Dao, Nirvana Black) or plummy, warm goodness (Feminite du Bois, Natori) in this weather for me, it seems. You’d think I’d reach for ambers too, but not as much.
Really looking forward to our upcoming New York swap meet, generously hosted by Missionista. Meeting fellow fumies in person is just so nice, and I learn a lot each time. I’ve decided that the bottle of Agent Provocateur I bought will be offered up, and the Bill Blass Nude as well. Both well done, but just not my taste, and I’d love to find them a happy home.
Stay warm and well, y’all!
Glad you posted about this! ALL people in NYC and environs are welcome to come. We have 5 people currently planning to attend, and have space for another 3-5 people. I have some Matin D’Orage that was given to me as a freebie, and I am giving away samples to anyone who shows up (and wants it)–share the wealth! There will be fun things to sniff, and wine/cheese/veg/salami/crackers etc.
I’m bringing Baghari, calypso Chevrefeuille, samples, and probably a couple of other things as well
P.S. The meetup is a week from tomorrow
I am so very, very sad that I won’t be able to go! I live close enough, but I am flying to California that very day 😥
Although I am going to California to see family (including my adorable just turned one nephew!!!) so it isn’t that sad.
I’m sure we’ll meet up again in not too long, and you can join then. It will be lovely to meet you!!
hello there Ladies! I envy you with your NY swap meet! I wish we have something like that in T.O. (Toronto:). I seems there are many fellow Canadians commenting here though… so, may be something lkke that is in the future (talking about 2015 resolutions :).
In regards to SOTD I’m wearing the same juice I’ve decided to wear tomorrow, so no surprise here! It’s MdO Vanilla. I think its the best vanilla, it’s so green, rich & warm at the same time, which I love. It’s endless also.
Owning a couple of MdO ( including a good decant of Oud) I suspect she has (or, sadly, she had) a signature which is quite discernible in all, or, at least, in all what I’m happy to own, of her line.
I wonder what you, Ladies, think of that.
No need to envy us– plan one yourself in your city! Reach out whenever someone says something about your area. It started for me with hajusuuri noticing that I had commented on something local and inviting me to meet up in person.
Well please know that you would be welcome if you were to ever come visit! These New York fumies are a lovely group (and terribly kind to newbies).
Also – I haven’t really spent time with Mona di Orio’s works, and I’ll have to fix that. They sound gorgeous.
Thanks so much for invitation. May be later this year, when a trip to Nt won’t look like apolar expedition, but I’ll keep my eye on your group, or sure :).
ihadanidea: if you’d like to try some but have none, pls let me know and we’ll think of something. Just let me know which one you’d like to sample, and, if I have one I will fix you a vial. Just one little thing: this would be my first parcel of that kind: never send any samples yet, only received :P. SO I need to procure new vials first .
And we don’t bite 😉
If you’re in the area and couldn’t make the 16th, email us anyway since we also do spontaneous meetups on short notice.
I really like Natori. It took me a few years to come around to buying a bottle, but I’m so glad I did. I wore it quite a bit in the fall. It is really so well done! In my mind, it’s what Coco Noir should have smelled like.
It has been very cold lately, which means that I have finally been able to wear big cozy sweaters 😀 Today, I pulled out my Icelandic wool sweater, which is super warm so I can only wear it on really cold days! Apparently, last time I wore it (last winter …) I also wore Timbuktu and there was a hint of it remaining so I just decided to roll with it and happily applied Timbuktu for the second day in a row. I guess I am nothing if not consistent.
Sweater twins–I’m in my Icelandic wool sweater too! I am very much regretting not putting on my Icelandic wool legwarmers. Perhaps tomorrow.
SOTD is Insolence EDP, perfect for this cold, cold day. Also an early start on gourmand Friday (luckily I have plenty of gourmands to choose from, since I don’t like wearing the same perfume two days in a row).
Tabac Blond extrait, a sample, vintage unknown: the top and middle are really extravagant, leathery-mossy and expensive-smelling, what we would expect of a vintage Caron, but the base kind of goes to hell, so I don’t know, maybe the eighties? Not modern, that’s for sure.
I AM in Memphis! But I’m going to a different party tonight. We’ll listen to some Elvis recordings.
SOTD is dabs of Vero Profumo Rozy edp. WOW! Very sexy. Now I understand the rave reviews. Gotta nurse my sample along and then scheme to get my hands on more.
LOL — but how could you possibly miss a party at the Holiday Inn??
I don’t know how big a deal they will make of his birthday, but I was once at Graceland on what was (unbeknownst to me) the anniversary of Elvis’s death — it was a madhouse.
SOTD is Sables (Annick Goutal). I’ve forgotten how lovely this fragrance is.
I like Sables too, but I never wear it. I like the use of immortelle in the AG Eau de Monsieur too.
Eau de Shalimar. Totally delighted reading your wintry comments, as it’s feeling like the Sahara here today. (Later on, a huge storm should come. If so, I’ll celebrate with a few sprays of Ode à la Vanille.)
I’m wearing Imaginary Authors Violet Disguise. I think this is a pretty weird little perfume. I can never quite decide if I really love it. Sometimes when I first put it on, I’m not even sure if I really *like* it. But then in a few minutes I’m like, oh yes, I like this quite a bit… Then I don’t wear it for months, think about swapping it, then put it on again…
Hello, breathesgelatin ! I know what you are saying. You have just perfectly described “my relationship” with Strange invisible perfumes L’Invisible which I bought a couple of summers ago when I was till avail. at Beautyhabit.
I always wear it when I’m home, as I’m not sure how it’ll be taken by strangers, lol. need to revisit it this weekend , may be.
I wonder what other think if it and this line in particular.
What’s the news with the line? They are not on BH anymore…..
oops! “IT was still avail. “
I’m in Cuir d’Iris by Parfumerie Generale. I obtained the sample in NYC while out & about with thegoddessrena. I like iris, I like leather, but this does not work on me. The iris is really dusty and the leather is SHARP, and the combined effect to my nose reminds me of ashy sheep’s milk cheese.
On our joint commute into work this morning, I mentioned to my husband that I was trying something new and he said, “oh, is _that_ what the animal smell is.” (Gee, honey, maybe mention that before we leave the house next time…).
Fortunately, my 3 sprays have almost completely worn off already!
I like it but it does go into “leather comes from an animal” territory on me sometimes. How’s the Mona Rose going?
I haven’t even gotten there yet! It’s been so cold that it feels odd to reach for a peachy rose! I am kicking myself for not buying hot chocolate mix.
I’ll get you some if you want. Just let me know what flavor
LOL, I love your husband’s comment! Cuir d’Iris didn’t work for me either but the same perfumer did Daimiris for Laboratorio Olfattivo, which is a bit similar but more wearable, I think.
Daimiris is the only scent that I’m almost completely anosmic to– I can smell it for the three seconds that it’s wet then absolutely nothing.
Phew! Sounds like a close one. 😉
Husbands are funny when it comes to perfume. lol!
Another day of rain and +3C… Pulled out my SL Santal Blanc to see if I still get all excited by that first curry accord. But not anymore. Now I know what to expect and experience it from the start. But it is one of my favourites nevertheless :).
So very, very cold today so I wanted to wear something that reminds me of sunny days – Santa Maria Novello Melograno was my choice but if I’d really been thinking about it I might have chosen Bobbi Brown’s Beach instead.
I’m at home in the -20C weather (insert hysterical laughter here), so I think I will spend the day picking at samples as I work. I’ve got piles of randoms from the grab bags at Surrender to Chance.
I will probably revisit Keiko Mecheri’s Johana and MFK’s Absolue pour le Soir and the rest will be random dabs of whatever 🙂
Boyfriend LOVED last night’s Terracotta La Parfum, which I never would have expected if he hadn’t shown me his new ylang ylang candle. I brought over my discovery set of L’Artisan (10 2ml vials) for smelling fun because apparently we are both huge nerds! Fun to see someone else reacting to scents, which has largely been a personal experiment for me until now. He said Fou d’Absinthe reminded him of something he used to wear that came in an orange bottle but he had no idea what it was called – wonder what it could have been! 🙂
Yay! It is so fun to share an interest like that. I got my boyfriend into perfume last year, and it has been really interesting for me to see what his tastes are. Since a lot of our tastes overlap (vetiver, rose, leather, incense …) I can raid his bottles now too!
Ooo some excellent notes to overlap on! haha raiding each other’s bottles is basically a dream idea! 🙂
My ex enjoyed sniffing so I passed on some samples to him Sept 2013 and when he visited last February he ended up buying a bottle of Puredistance M. He smells amazing in it.
Puredistance M sounds amaaaazing. If you’re going to get someone hooked on something, I think fragrance is the way to go 😀
Glad to hear that he liked it, and even more exciting that he wanted to sniff with you. Thumbs up!
So good, right?! 🙂 I think he turned to candles when he didn’t have the right audience for colognes, so he’s happy to return to sniffing fragrances. You know, happy now, when he doesn’t realize how far the addiction can go 🙂
Wearing Celtic Fire again today. I applied lavishly (from a rollerball), and while I can still smell it, that Icelandic wool sweater is tamping it down nicely. It’s not at all overpowering. However, it’s not quite as warming as I’d hoped. Then again, I’m not sure the celts ever had to contend with weather this cold. 🙂
SOTD is Oeillet Bengale. It was nice and cozy during the 15 minutes we had to wait in -1 Fahrenheit during a fire alarm at work.
Oh jeez. But yay for cozy perfumes!
I’m wearing Chanel Coco today. I need her beautiful warmth today. Its 28 degrees outside. I wish I didn’t have to go out into it, but later on I have to run some errands.
Yeah Coco! A good remedy for the cold.
Holy plunging temperatures Batman!! It’s cold!!
SOTD is a refresher spritz of what I wore to bed last night- Cuir Ottoman by PdE. Lovely stuff and I’m nearing the end of my 8ml decant…:(
Burberry Body again. The usual single spray! In my new work situation, and i share an office with another person, so being as conservative as i can until i figure out if anyone is sensitive ti scent.
Fingers crossed it all works out in my favor!
Tsukimi is my scent of the day. Haven’t worn it in a while but it’s definitely nice in cold weather
I’d never heard of that one, but after reading up on it I may need to get a sample of it now. It sounds lovely!
Hi we’ve had a bit of a sad day in France – I’m not French but the newspapers and the TV have been very grim. It has been amazing to watch the people in big cities turn out to show strength and support though. Anyway I’ve sprayed on Ambre Fetiche but I’ve realised I must have a bit of a cold as I can hardly smell it and I usually have no problem smelling it. I’m a bit miffed.
I’m not French either, and I’m not in France — but it is a sad day for everyone who believes in a free press.
Ditto!
Scary and very sad what’s going on. I’m not in France either–my heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones yesterday
Absolutely.
It’s great so many people came out to support the cause..Too bad such crime had to happen to push people on the streets……
It is sad. I am very impressed with all the people coming out in defiance. Je suis Charlie!
http://i100.independent.co.uk/article/the-moving-tributes-to-the-victims-of-the-charlie-hebdo-shooting–lJVs7t8dcx
It is a sad time, both yesterday and today. Four attacks on mosques in France reported so far. I hope a spirit of respect for the rights of all will prevail.
SOTD-Coromandel by Chanel – I love it’s woody and warm trail. And best of all, it doesn’t bother a scent-phobe co-worker. 🙂
What!? Out of all the scents to not bother a scentphobe, that’s one of the ones i would least expect. Great news for you! You smell gorgeous.
I needed a break, so I’m wearing Jean-Louis Scherrer 1 today. A perfect slightly bitter green.
I love your choice of picture for today and it so suits Kiss me Tender. I’ve still not decided which one it will be for me tomorrow but Kiss me Tender is on my list.
Love JLS! Both 1 and 2
Fendi Theorema. On a random Thursday! Why not!
Oops! I meant to post a great big smile at that!
😀
When I first got to this post all I could see was the image and not which fragrance you were wearing, Robin… all the same, I guessed right. Perfect for KMT!
I’ve got Houbigant’s Orangers en Fleurs brightening my day today. It’s OB-centric, of course, so it’s a bit soapy on me, but not oppressively so.
You should win a prize! Reminds me of the thing they do on Daily Dish where people take a picture out their window, and the readers guess where it is.
SOTD is Mon Parfum Cheri. If anyone has this and is looking to part with it please let me know. My beloved sample is dwindling…
No but like you I love it and have finished with my sample. It’s on my list to buy and nearly up the top.
Dulcis in Fundo today; perhaps I should have saved it for tomorrow, but I have lots of foody ‘fumes. Today I smell like an orange/lemon caramel. Wish I had some–today is a good day to stay inside, drink hot tea, read, and eat candy.
“today is a good day to stay inside, drink hot tea, read, and eat candy” How lovely!
I’m done with clients and off to the drawing table. Working on a painting of two armless potbellied animals in love. This calls for some Rose de Kandahar.
Neat! Have fun with your project, love the idea!
Thank you!
Well, I think I must have liked Foxbin’s plan better than my work plan, because I got under a blanket with a book and a cup of tea to get warm and relax, the cat curled up on top of me and next thing I know I’m waking up from an epic nap and the sun is going down.
Even. Better.
Bitter cold is much easier to bear when the sun shines! Today is the first day without that golden orb and I need an extra dose of comfort and warmth, so Givenchy Organza Indecence it is!
Today is a true Throwback Thursday!
I am wearing the very first scent that I ever bought, from the very bottle: Antaeus.
The 50 ml splash bottle is now 29 yrs old and the scent is exactly as I remember it. It doesn’t feel tired, off, and none of the notes seem to be missing. It has kept so well that I am amazed and instantly taken back to my college years.
Last year, i bought a new bottle of Antaeus. The scent in that new bottle has the same “feel” as my vintage Antaeus, but the head notes are a bit weird– like the fragrance needs time before it can focus on what it’s supposed to be. The power of the new version is also like that of a toothless lion. The vintage version roars! I will continue to save the remains of my vintage bottle for those special days.
Nice story, Plat, and I like the idea of Throwback Thursday. I may add it as a theme along with Keep-it-Simple Monday. And I, too, have experienced the same with vintage and new bottles of the same scents – Time mellows and ‘betters’, just as with people and fine wine!
SOTD = VC&A Bois d’Iris
I recall wanting to wear this a month ago and couldn’t recall why I didn’t. The mystery was solved today – my decant has a wonky atomizer! I eked out a few paltry sprays to not go naked and wowee, even the little sprays added to this wonderful warmth that is so appropriate for this cold cold day in NYC. This is FB-worthy for sure and the 45 mL bottles sure look attractive (I think they’re 45 mLs).
You smell won-da-ful, darlink (feeling very Zsa Zsa Gabor today)
Yes,this is one of my favorites. My sample is almost gone and it is on my Buy a Bottle list…
Love the new 45ml bottles!
Yup- I just bought one! Perfect size, and the $99 they cost here seems pretty reasonable too. Almost free 😉
Elvis! How about Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass? It always disappointed me because I expected it to smell like cool dewey grass. However, if you think of it as smelling like 1950s teenagers at an Elvis concert – soap scrubbed skin, cologne, and the sweat of Dionysian frenzy – it smells just right.
I was just reading a wonderful post on Bois de Jasmin, “Coming of Age: An American Perfume Story,” and learned something I’d never thought about. Of the big three who revolutionized the American cosmetics and perfume industry – Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubinstein, and Estée Lauder – only Lauder was born in America.
Do you have a link for the story? It sounds like a good read!
Sorry, already closed it. A search on Bois de Jasmin for Blue Grass should bring it up.
http://boisdejasmin.com/2012/07/coming-of-age-an-american-perfume-story.html
Started off the day with Vanilla Bourbon Intense, got to leave work early and went to Sphora and sampled Infusion d’Iris Absolute, which is great, and Chanel 5 Eau Premiere which disappeared on my skin in like 10 minutes! So then I put on Chanel 5 EDP, (which I wore as my signature for years.)
Sniffing the backs of my hands, the Iris is winning now, tho.
So then I went to the cute doodads store to get some Lepi de Provence Sandlewood and Cedar bath soap, (my favorite) and they had Library of Flowers True Vanilla 50% off so I got some of that. Now I need a shower to wah off all the other stuff and I will wear True Vanilla as SOTE.
Whew! What a day so far…
Sounds like much fun! I also tested the Eau Premiere not long ago and it also vanished quite quickly, I read elsewhere (Fragrantica?) others had similar experiences recently with the Eau.
SOTD:Kiehl’s Musk!Another really good cheapie-perfume!Completely off-topic:If ever I wanted a bottle of perfume(purely for the bottle!!!!),it’s the new Amouage Silver Flasks!Sooooooooo gorgeous!!£4500/100ml perfume of your choice and refillable.Any sponsors out there?LOL!!Go check it out on the Amouage website,so pretty!
Stop feeding my Amouage addiction! (Ok, don’t stop, but no REALLY… auuugggh!)
Lol!I feel your pain!(or pleasure?haha).Seriously:those silver flasks made me swoon, more than any Guerlain special edition bottle ever have!Filled with Amouage Beloved:PERFECTION.
Oh, did not know about these! Thanks, will include in next collector bottle post.
The Amouage website is my wallet’s worst nightmare!!Lol
We are having a blizzard in the Midwest today, but for Christmas I received Diptyque Eau Rose so even though it is a summer scent I am wearing it. I like it, but it reminds me a lot of Stella.
Dug up an untested sample of a classic – Chanel no. 19. It is the modern EDT, and it does nothing for me. 🙁 I used up almost all of the 1ml sample and it didn’t smell like much this morning. Kind of wan and bitter with minimal sillage. Nearing the end of my work day, it smells like an echo of something quite plush and lovely… detectable only if I mash my wrist to my nose.
SOTD is Guerlain Bois d’Armenie. I need some warmth!
Such a comfort scent!Love.You smell FANTASTIC.Obviously!
I’m wearing Angel Parfum de Cuir today. It was cold this morning, so it felt right.
I have changed my perfume three times today, something is happening, maybe it’s the cold, they keep disappearing , first I put on Chanel No.5 perfume and then it was gone , I applied Timbuktu and it is gone too, now I am wearing a layering combo Youth Dew bath oil layered with Coco Mademoiselle extrait. It is surprisingly good.
Yes, mine have disappeared too!! 4 sprays this morning and 4 sprays this evening and I’m barely registering anything right now!
Today I’m trying the Vanille Absolument that I received in my first swap. It’s warm and its not to cloying or suffocating like some vanillas, but ø¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ckv “““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““88888888 (my cat decided to share his thoughts as well)
but, there’s an anise or black licorice note that’s killing me. Sadly I’ll have to swap this one too!
I did grab a sample of My Burburry and a violet Gucci today though, so if this wears off (probably won’t) I’ll try one of them. 🙂
Haha!!You win Best Post Of The Day Award!
Go cat!
Lol, my mother sends me emails like this all the time. Cats really are terrible writers…
Yep- so repetitive 😉
truly!
Ugh. 6:20. Where did this day go! I’m leaving later and later to postpone going out in the cold.. which is silly because the temp drops even more the darker and later it gets.
SOTD (inspired by Chemist in the Bottle, aka Mr. Lucas): Prada l’eau Ambree.. and I think I have some samples I plan to bring to Missionista’s NYC freebe meet for Ms. hajusuuri 🙂
Yay! Lord & Taylor is stingy with samples, like Macys!
Just ate a rose macaron from Laduree in Paris. It tasted simply heavenly! It was a perfect, edible rose. My daughter returned with treasures from France. I have been spoiled with macaroons, Roger&Gallet soaps and perfume!
Can I adopt her temporarily on the condition that she comes with the goodies from France?
Sure but she comes with a Yellow Naped Macaw, two Peruvian long tailed boas and considerable college debt!
Today started out as a bad day – kids home from school due to frigid temps, work piled up even after working an extra 6 hours last night… I sprayed on Volnay Brume d’Hiver from an old Olfactif sampler and it just made me smile and I managed to slog through and am happy to realize the worst of the deadlines have passed and kids are back at school tomorrow!! Had a lovely shower with some Lush Rose Jam and am warm and snuggly with the pups. Shewwwwww. Now for the SOTE…hmmm… Likely Coromandel and some Project Runway! Enjoy your night!
Today I am wearing L’artisan Fleur d’oranger. It was my most expensive purchase but wearing it always makes me feel happier, which I need today as I am writing a job application and they always make me feel stressed and grumpy. Its one of the few orange blossom fragrances that doesn’t turn all soapy smelling on my skin.
Today was a bit warmer, I think it got to 29. So I sprayed on some Bronze Goddess. My co workers were a bit confused. I also wore my newly purchased snowskirt. This thing is amazing, I just wish I’d thought of it.
The snowskirt is an insulated, zip on skirt. Put it on over your clothes and your legs and rear end stay nice and toasty. Tres chic for the Alaska fashionista,
Started the day with Amaranthine, ended it with A*Men Pure Coffee. I’ve been on the lookout for a coffee scent that’s deep, dark and delicious, lightened ever so slightly with an interesting non-gourmand note. I’d welcome any suggestions for good coffee-centric scents!
SotD was Songes. So lovely. SotE is Eau des Merveilles because the idea just popped into my head as I was getting ready for bed, and then I topped it off with a drop from a sample of Atelier Orange Sanguine. I’m in love with a cologne after a shower. Nighty-night all!
