Maison Francis Kurkdjian wallets

From Maison Francis Kurkdjian, scented twin-set card wallets in crocodile (shown, vanilla amber scent, €1165) or leather (woody amber scent, €525).

Both feature lambskin lining and come in a variety of colors; they were made in collaboration with Atelier Renard. They are sold at the Maison Francis Kurkdjian store in Paris / Marais.

Nothing beats the smell of brand new bills…at least in a wallet.

Ha! If I bought this wallet, I’d have no bills left to put in it.

But it would be perfect for porting maxed out credit cards!

Brand new paper notes? That’s a smell I’ve missed since switching to polymer bills up here.

I’m going to go cheaper and keep putting Papier d’Armenie strips (also scented by Kurkdjian) in my wallet.

I think I’ll use the money to buy perfume, instead, and just spray my wallet if I really need it to smell.

I was just thinking, when’s the next splitmeet and does anyone have a good sewing machine? ;)

Just . Obscene. Cannot fathom it… So, I’m off to Paris next week, was planning on going to Kurkdjian’s shop. This has sort of put me off.

Yeah, I’m with you. I don’t think either lambs or reptiles are meant to smell like anything MFK puts out. Paris will be a blast without the MFK visit ;)

Agree with you both. This just made me wince.

I have a scented wallet. While in Sephora, I sprayed Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver on a cotton round and placed it in my wallet so I could show my husband when I got home. Three years later I can still smell it. In fact, I just threw the cotton out about a month ago. According to my math, I saved €1165 and have earned a new bottle of whatever I want.

And a well deserved bottle it will be, for being such a smart (and sane, I might add) cookie.

Hah! I just got a Fossil bag on eBay – for a song. It smells of laundry musk, so I’ve spritzed paper towels with Coeur de Vetiver Sacre and stuffed them in all the pockets. I sealed the purse and a couple more spritzed paper towels in a plastic bag and will leave it for a few weeks….

I bought a recycled-leather tote bag and it smelled horrible. I put a bar of (Pacifica?) fig soap in it for a couple of moths and now it smells charming.

      I know, right?

I actually admire several of Kurkdjian’s fragrances, even the mainstreamy things. But this weirdness of scented bubbles and scented leather bracelets and now scented wallets… Francis, honey, please. Stop. Now. You’re starting to look desperate, not innovative.
