Three questions. Answer as many or as few as you like.
1. What new fragrance would you love to see in 2015, and from which house?
2. What's the first fragrance you plan to buy this year?
3. Do you have any perfume-related resolutions for 2015?
My answers:
1. I'm still waiting for that jasmine Hermessence!
2. I have no buying plans at all at the moment.
3. To not buy perfumes in sizes larger than 30 ml, and I'd prefer 10 ml when I can find it.

First!
1. I would be amazed and intrigued if Chanel came out with a new Exclusif
2. I don’t see many fb purchases ahead but would love to sample some DSH perfumes
3. My perfume related resolution is to somehow get rid of about 8 perfumes that I never, ever wear and just seem to mock me setting fallow in the cabinet. Freebiemeet, here we come!
You are in luck…Misia is the next Exclusif, and Grain de Musc says it is “a gorgeously sensuous lipstick note on a furry, balsamic base.”
http://graindemusc.blogspot.com/2014/12/my-top-ten-fragrances-of-2014.html
Oh my, this doesn’t bode well for my no fb buy but exciting news!
Well, I am very intrigued, but it also smells like I just kissed my cat.
If “furry” means anything like kissing my cat then I’m sold for sure 🙂
Can’t wait to experience Misia! Tks for breaking the news; I had no idea.
Sounds worthy of a sniff!
Named for Misia Sert, I suppose, Gabrielle Chanel’s long-term friend. Or ‘frenemy’, as we would say today. It will be interesting to see how Chanel spins this strange tale.
Rose/violet/castoreum? Or Civet?…Or just white musk? lol
White Musk au Freche? 😉
Well SNAP!lol! The Chanel Misia is the one I am most eagerly waiting for too!
Chanel is coming out with a new Exclusif–see Grain de Musc.
Would love for Hiram Green to introduce a green floral (sans fruit).
Don’t have buying plans at the moment, and I’m in the same boat as Gi–should pare down, both bottles & samples.
Oops…answered before I read this 🙂
1. What new fragrance would you love to see in 2015, and from which house?
– I would love for Tom Ford would come out with a really good “fig” fragrance. I know he would probably put a unique twist to it. Love Tom Ford fragrances.
2. What’s the first fragrance you plan to buy this year?
– It will probably be Pear and Olive by Slumberhouse. I bought a sample of it a couple of weeks ago and I just adore it.
3. Do you have any perfume-related resolutions for 2015?
– Well, I spent way too much in 2014, so I need to tone it down a lot this year. Maybe just one bottle a quarter. That’s gonna be hard for me but its worth a try. Lol! Wish me luck! 🙂
I just remembered, for #2 it may be Knot by BV also. Its a tie between Pear and Olive and also Knot. Not sure which one I will buy first, but it will be one of these. 🙂
For a long time I limited to 2 bottles a month, then 1 bottle a month. 1 a quarter seems hard at first but you’ll get there!
Pear and Olive is wonderfully intriguing, isn’t it? All I have is a small sample, and I can’t quite decide about it. It might be one that I might start with a decant to see if I actually wear it or if it’s just a wonderful smell to have around sometimes!
1. I’m still exploring existing fragrances, but I’d like to see more really green scents like Silences or Vent Vert.
2. I ordered a vintage mini of Youth Dew from ebay yesterday.
3. I want to keep track of how much I’m spending on fragrances.
PriscillaE, have you tried Mito from Vero Profumo? It’s green and luscious. You may like it. It’s fairly new (from last year maybe).
Love the green florals, and I wish they’d come back in style.
Mito is a dewy citrus-green with a white floral heart, and it’s really nice, though I don’t love it myself (I prefer a big slap of galbanum with very little citrus, thanks). Good stuff, though.
1. I would love to see some of the Serge Lutens Paris exclusives be sold in a 1.7 ounce spray bottle in the States since I could not afford $300 for a 2.5 ounce bottle.
2. My last purchase of 2014 was Kyoto but plan to get another back up bottle of Theorema when I have some spare cash. Christmas was really expensive this year.
3. My goal is to finish 1 bottle of no 5 in Edp form and the Edt of no 5 along with 1 bottle of Mitsouko.
Good luck on your No 5 goal!
Yes to #1! There are several Lutens I’d like to get my paws on and I’ve suffered a rash of evaporating decants lately so am trying to slow down on non-sealed bottles.
1) From no house in particular I would like to find more comforting leathers to my collection. So far I have sampled ( and loved ) Cuir De Russie, Cuir Lancome and Cuir Beluga.
2) Discovery sets of both Ann Gerard and L’Artisan then later in the year a Lutens, maybe for my birthday (Ambre Sultan or Daim Blonde)
3) RESTRAINT. Small expenditures quickly add up.
Try Cuir Ottoman. I have a thing about leather and it’ s my favourite so far.
Second that!
Agree on Cuir Ottoman and would also highlight Knize Ten. I also like SL Daim Blond, Heeley Cuir Pleine Fleur and PG Cuir Venenum.
Any of you ladies tried Leather Krem by Liz Zorn? Was wondering how it fit into the ‘comfort’ category if at all- there is a description of it as burnt that discouraged me a bit.
Anyone tried it? Its on sale and tempting : )
Leather Krem’s a personal favorite. The burnt part is sugar (think creme brulee). Lovely stuff.
Im hoping that no one brings out anything great- just long enough for me to ease off the ‘want’ list for a bit 😉
I dont know about the first ill buy, but i am planning on getting a Tommi Sooni and SHL777 at some point in 2015
I need to just stick with the ‘definites’ and ‘loves’ on my list, and not spend on ‘likes’ or sales because they’re a great price…
I hear you on the last one. I was such a sucker for sales this year. Which SHL777 are you considering?
Ive tried about 3-4 of the ‘cheaper’ ones, and really liked all of them! Khol de Bahrein and the rose one are both great, but my rose collection is a little crazy, and i know i need to try them all before i choose one or i’ll get one then smell another i want…
And I hear you on the first one!!
I would like to see Ormonde Jayne come out with mix and match for three or four *different* 10 ml sprays into one set. See, that way I can get one Ta’if, one Woman, and one Tolu! (But I’ll also ditto above for Gi on the Chanel Exclusifs, b/c I found the last two or three rather boring.)
The first fragrance I’d like to buy this year, if I can swing it, is Amouage Beloved. Sigh.
My fragrance resolution is the continuation of what I began last year: to effectively off-load unloved or languishing samples, decants & bottles, through donations, swaps and sales. Cheers!
Re: #1–I wish *every* line offered small mixed sets of their fragrances!
I’m not familiar enough with houses and all their collections to say what I’d like to see next – let alone by whom – but I generally wish for more oomph in perfumes that come from mainstream/department store brands. I don’t mean adding “absolu” or “extrait” at the end of one that already exists. That was totally vague, but whatever.
I plan to buy La Panthere because it’s been in my head for ages and my manufacture sample is almost gone. After that perhaps Jour d’Hermes, then either Anubis or Christopher Street. I’m not shying away from the fact that I have a list – a long one.
My perfume resolutions include cutting down on sample/decant purchases. I went haywire in 2014 and while there’s already a running list in my head for 2015, I’m realizing what I like and don’t like enough to be more discerning. I’d like to have a better general rotation of FBs that I use than waste time in the morning (half awake) figuring out where the heck x sample or y decant is and then be disappointed or meh about it once I’ve got it on for the day.
Oh, you’re in a fun place in your perfumistahood! I remember feeling so overwhelmed by the options. When I realized that I had some pretty strong preferences, it was such a relief! I could edit out some of the background noise. Enjoy building your collection! I kinda miss my endless “to-buy” list–all that fun anticipation!
Liz Zorn Anubis? She is having a sale now-
http://www.soivohle.net/saleclearance/
No, Papillon Artisan Perfumes Anubis.
1. ??
2. Must Not Buy — at least until Ari’s shop opens in Northern Virginia.
3. Must STOP compulsively buying samples. I went through some of my samples yesterday and found that a number had dried up (eek!). Many more will probably meet the same fate…
OT, sort of: has anyone tried Profumum’s Tagete yet? I’m trying to resist a sample from luckyscent (ref. #3 above). Please Do Not Enable.
Whee, Ari’s shop!!
Ditto!!
Good point – would also like to save any purchases for Ari’s shop.
yes – me too!
Please enlighten me – Ari’s shop??? I seem to have missed that!
Oh my gosh, so excited I get to be the one to share this news–Ari is opening a perfume boutique just outside DC, in a new shopping called Mosaic that has an indie movie theater, a bunch of restaurants and small shops, as well as a Target. You can weigh in on what it should be called! http://thescentsofself.com/2014/11/24/help-us-choose-our-shop-name/
*A new shopping district
1) With zillions of untried perfumes on my wishlist, I’m not sure I need any new releases clamoring for my attention. But, I wouldn’t mind it if somebody produced a perfume with a big dollop of marzipan/bitter almond goodness folded into an otherwise inedible floral or incense/oriental fragrance.
2) No FBs on the horizon, but I have a package of 11(!) samples on the way from Surrender to Chance, so we’ll see if any of those are must-haves after I test ’em out. 8 of those are Serge Lutens scents – my first and overdue foray into that house!
3) My resolution is to use up my perfume without worrying about running out! I have hoarding/save-it-for-a-rainy-day tendencies that I logically know are silly. I have what must be a 10 year supply of perfume, at least, so I should just spritz with abandon! How else can I justify getting more?
Mmm marzipan. I hope they hear you whoever they are 🙂
I have those save-it-for-a-rainy-day tendencies too! Always have, even when i was young. And i should know better because i know how many times ive ended up having to throw old, unusable bits away and thought ‘next time- just use it!!’
My solution to the “saving it” tendency has been to start buying back-ups. Granted, does not reduce the hoarding aspect, but I do feel more free to spray away!
In regards to Item 1, have you tried Micallef’s Aoud Gourmet? Starts out with marzipan, morphs into earthy woods.
Bitter almond floral? Sounds fantastic. And woohoo on your first foray into Serge Lutens!
1) I would love Patricia de Nicolaï to do another great lavender. Actually I would just appreciate it if she resurrected Nicolaï pour Homme.
2) I already have! Une Fleur de Cassie. Out of fear of either it’s being discontinued ( it doesn’t sell well apparently) or the prices going through the roof.
3) Buy less enjoy more! My next purchase cannot be done till the first of April.
Hello there!
Une Fleur de Cassie is a gem! After a couple of unsuccessful tries to get it (some places claimed to stop carrying it!) I also got a 100ml this year and for the same reasons.
I would compare it with a pearl hidden inside a non-remarkable shell. One has to get thru the shell to enjoy its contents.. and , of course, a body chemistry plays a major role as well. 🙂
I think Une Fleur is one of a few from FM destined to become a legend (in a future, when it is dsicontinued for not being a huge sales number). …. another one is PoftLady.
Portrait of a Lady is actually a huge seller, so it will probably be around for a while. Thérèse doesn’t sell well either.
Yes, PotL is the seller! It is also one destined for greatness (I have a back up bottle:).
Therese is proven, so it is always good to have. I’ve got that one too :).
I also heard that PotL is very expensive to make, so it’ll go up and up and up.
Happy New Year to all!
1. I think that a leather/incense from Comme des Garçons would be interesting. I love leather fragrances and they would (hopefully) put an interesting spin on leather.
2. If I can put my hands on it, it will be Dior Homme Parfum, but it seems so impossible to find. Otherwise, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extrême is also on my hit list.
3. I will make an effort to get rid of some of the fb that I bought on impulse and that I never actually loved. I could say that I will try to buy fewer fb on impulse, but who am I kidding? LOL
1. Maybe a reworked/improved version of Series 6 Synthetic: Garage
1. I’d really love for Guerlain to come out with something wonderful. No special requests as long as it’s in the regular price range.
2. Thinking about buying SSS Winter Woods before it gets too warm to wear it, but we’ll see.
3. I don’t really have any resolutions, but I DO need to think about getting rid of the scents I don’t like and won’t wear. And maybe only buy samples once a month.
Happy New Year to everyone!
1. I’d love to see a new masculine pillar fragrance from Prada (or a CandyMan version)
2. No idea, probably something from the new 2015 releases. Or Santal Carmin from Atelier Cologne
3. Like austenfan, to enjoy my perfumes even more. And to buy first this year not earlier than in February for my birthday.
Oooh, I’d be interested seeing what CandyMan would be like!
Gosh, how can Prada not have yet listened to your excellent suggestion about CandyMan?! Maybe we need a letter-writing campaign. . .
I think more of us would like to smell a masculine grown-up gourmand with suede and some tobacco 🙂
Yes!
Agreed!
Sounds like a good first line to that letter!
Yes – that sounds wonderful! I like the Prada stuff, but not enough to buy – it’s too sweet for me. Maybe a “candyman” would have all the wonderful woods and dryness, but not so much toothache.
I’d like that. And the name CandyMan is fantastic!
You and your CandyMan! You make me smile.
But no, you are right – that would be wonderful.
Thanks 😉
Paging Mr Sammy Davis Jr for the campaign!
1. I’d love to see more lily of the valley scents (that actually smell like the flower), maybe on from Le Labo or Hermes. I’d like the Hermes website having all the scents available for that set of four mini’s. I would love to see the return of Guerlain’s Attrape Couer.
2. Probably La Vierge de Fer as my sample seems to be running low. I always mean to buy Nicolai Le Temps d’une Fete, but never seem to.
3. No actual resolutions, but I’ve been trying to hold off on buying full bottles until I actually use up a sample of a scent.
Oh yes, bringing back some d/c’ed classics would be a good way to go–would def take Attrape-Coeur, or also it strikes me that having Vacances be the next Jean Patou revival would make a lot of people very happy!
I will commandeer about sixty spots on the Vacances bandwagon all by myself.
I did hear that there was a plan for such, but new Patou revivals have been, er, delayed. Fragrantica’s showing the new “Collection Heritage” version, but I don’t think it was actually released. I am desperately hoping it’s not tanked already.
Wait, Basenotes says it’s supposed to be a 2015 release.
Oh gosh that is nervous making–especially since it’s already on the website (http://www.jeanpatou.com/parfums/heritage-collection/?lang=en), but I haven’t seen it sold anywhere…
A less consequential example but it reminds me of that Diesel flanker Robin liked (https://nstperfume.com/2013/10/08/diesel-loverdose-tattoo-fragrance-review/), which I still have never been able to find in any of their stores. Although now I’m seeing it is on the discounters. Would not object to a discounted bottle of Vacances, given the pricetag on those Heritage Collection bottles!
1. I would love for Prada to release a new woman’s fragrance that isn’t a part of the candy lineup.
2. Byredo 1996 and Chanel 28 La Pausa will be my 2 purchases this year.
3. See number 2. I will only purchase 2 fragrances this year. Any others must be acquired by trade or gifting.
Ditto on #1. I liked L’eau Ambree, but then the Candy frags were too sweet for me.
1. I agree with Platinum14 about something leathery from CdG
2. i hope to buy Anubis by Papillon Perfumes and L’Air du Désert Marocain, which I should have had by now, had it not been out of stock when I ordered it.
3. I will try not to buy any FBs this summer, since I altready have good stocks of summer scents. The word “try” is important in this resolution.
Would be cool, wouldn’t it?
I’ll combine 1 and 2: I’m not planning to buy any full bottles any time soon and when I do succumb, I hope to follow some kind of one-in, one-out rule, though that’s harder with perfume than clothes. Between my November birthday and Xmas, I got three new full bottles, plus bought a bottle for my husband’s birthday that I’m wearing too. I truly feel like I DO NOT NEED MORE PERFUME! Decants are still fair game, but those are so much easier to finish up, making room for more.
Sorry, that was 2 and 3! For #1, I’d like to see Estee Lauder come out with something less bloodless than Modern Muse.
Yes, please!
I thought MM Chic better than the original, but was still not tempted.
1. I was going to say a new Chanel Exclusif –and I see above that it is going to happen!! Although, I kind of hope I don’t like it 😉
2. Nuit de Tubereuse, probably this spring. I wear it six months out of the year and I’ve nearly emptied a 100 ml bottle. Then in fall Bois des Isles.
3. I’m going to set aside cash each month for perfume. Even though I don’t spend a lot in a year, every time I make a FB purchase I feel a little faint! Maybe spreading the amount over one year will help make purchasing feel less fraught.
I like your No 2 choices!!!
I have set up a five dollar fume fund for myself. Everytime I pay cash with something and end up with a $5 bill in my purse I put it aside. I just keep collecting the fives until I have enough to buy some perfume. Sometimes it works but sometimes I fall off the wagon and buy whatever I’m craving. Of course if you never use cash then this might not be the most practical or satisfying approach.
Obviously, from my comment in the damage poll I went a bit overboard and completely ignored my system. I was Christmas shopping and I was sad. Bad combo.
Poodle, I understand! A system can give you a sense of control. Still, given a bad emotional state, shopping can be a disaster to the wallet. You got some good stuff, as I recall. Just keep the fume fund going. I don’t use cash but over the years I developed an idiosyncratic accounting system that works for me 🙂
I hope at least 2015 is interesting regarding new releases!
1.The Chanel Misia-love the name, and some of the existing Exclusifs are already among my favorite perfumes
Also:I’m always interested in what Amouage and Byredo are doing,so hoping for something interesting from them as well.
2.See my non-disclosure at the 4th Quarter poll…lol.I’ve already bought something in 2015…lol!Also it’s my SOTD:Fleurs d’Oranger Serge Lutens.Perfect for current summer temps.
3.Use more/Buy less…yeah yeah…we all say that each year…I’ll see how far I get with this “resolution”.Also:Finally want to crack THE VETIVER CODE:difficult note for me,but progress is happening!(Oil on order,Robin!)
Can I just add that the Malle 10ml travel sprays that will now be sold individually, makes me VERY,VERY happy!!
Maybe I need to make my own coffret?
Now THAT is a grrrreat 2015-resolution!!
Won’t save me any money, but sure would be fun!
Do you tried Chanel 28 la Pausa? Bear pointed out that it’s really an iris-vetiver perfume. Could be a logical gateway for someone who likes Chanel.
Dear Nozknoz,I have 28 La Pausa, yes! But I’m fixated on that GORGEOUS blast of Orris I get from it…and the unexplainable superlongevity I actually get from it!8hours minimum,I kid you not!!The Vetiver note however, has been hiding very deep in the molecular non-present closet…I just cannot coaxe it out to actually SHINE on my skin!!Still!!:a Fantastic soli-radix-floral beauty on my skin!:-))LOVE.
Isn’t it time for the next Turtle Vetiver?
I’m wearing Back today.
Johanob, I actually meant the above as an independent post, though I was wishing the LesNez Turtle Vetivers were easier to find so that you could try them.
Have you tried FM Vetiver Extraordinaire?
I have the Malle in a 5ml(got the coffret last year). And it’s so far the only Vetiver I can appreciate and actually get to know the vetiver note.I ordered vetiver oil on Robin’s suggestion, eagerly waiting to smell that!
That’s a really straight-up vetiver nicely accented. I’m especially fond of AG Vetiver, myself, but there’s not a gigantic difference.
2. Surrender to Chance is having a 5 ml decant sale, and I just purchased a bunch of them. The Bubblegum Chic (Heeley) was half-off. That stuff is so potent that 5mls will last forever. It’s the perfect white floral for this white floral-hater. It smells like the gardenias from my yard, and it’s a combination of what they 1) smell like when I huff them, 2) what they smell like when I leave a dish of them in a small room, and 3) what they smell like when I steep them I jojoba oil for a week (strawberries).
3. I don’t make NY’s resolutions. I know that I won’t keep rhem, so why set myself up for failure? I would like to organize my samples.
Many years ago, I made a New Year’s resolution not to make any more New Year’s resolutions. I have kept it faithfully ever since. 😉
🙂
I don’t make resolutions, but rather a “try and do better than last year” in a kind of very general sense.
Ah, yes. Much more realistic.
I bought a decant of Bubblegum Chic during STC’s last sale, kindcrow, and just love it. As you say, a little goes a very long way!
Yay! It is such a joyful scent. I can’t wait until my decant arrives.
1. Does it count if it once existed, but seems not to exist anymore, and I would like it to be new (brought back) again? Please universe, bring back Comme des Garcons series: Leaves, Red, Sherbet, Synthetic, Sweet. Any idea what the best way would be to track them down? I don’t even know most of them, but “miss” them, because it all sounds amazing.
2. Etro Greene Street
3.To wear them! I have a serious “save it for the right occasion” problem!
Ida: Wear Your Perfume!!!! Now!!!! Life is too short. Enjoy your collection.
Thanks for the encouragement, Suzy Q. At times I’m good, and wear them, and my 2015 resolution is definitely to be “good” more often! – yes!
I agree. Plus, anytime can be the right occasion. A dab of Chanel No. 5 while sitting around the house in your pajamas all day can be wonderful!
Ida,I gathered you are South African,or visited recently? If you’re a local:Luminance in Hyde Park still carries the CdG Sherbet range!
Ja, Johan – hello! 🙂 Am a South African, moving back to SA after a stint in Kenya – and visited Luminance in December. Saw a few Sherbets there, but wish I could experience them all!
Nice!!Welcome fellow South African!!Our perfumista numbers are growing here! That makes me extremely happy!!
Wanted to add:We should do email as well,if you like!My addy is my NST username at icloud dot com!Hope to hear from you soon!Merlin is also a local perfumista, and we have had some awesome sniffathons in Jhb!
Yes, I connected with Merlin via NST also – and she introduced me to the great options at Hyde Park. Thanks, Merlin! And thanks, NST, for facilitating shared smellihood in South Africa.
Luckyscent has those series, but I don’t know of they ship internationally.
I’m going to check it out, tks, kindcrow!
1. new fragrance/house to see in 2015:
Chanel is a obvious choice, but I see they have preceded many of us here ( which is a sing of a great brand, isn’t it :).
I’m currently of a “mission” exploring the older houses. It’s a shame really, but only now I came across a proper Vent Vert ( wow! what a green!) and Cabochard, and can see now them “as they were back then”. I would really love those “forgotten’ houses come up with something equally amazing and ahead of a century” stuff.
I always feel quite bad when I read about use-to-be-great houses that do not that well anymore.
2. first fragrance you plan to buy this year: I think i’m on the hunt for a good bottle of a vintage Cabochard, pure perfume. And I am overdue for a FB of Epic. And then, we’ll see.
3. perfume-related resolutions for 2015:
Buy less to satisfy my curiosity , …..easy to say…..
1. I would like a return of the Malle Coffret collection, with no reformulation or monkeying before I get a chance to actually try them all!
2. No known purchases on the horizon, however with Our Lady soon to carry Malles (some time this month?!), I suspect my list may grow.
3. No resolutions. It would be nice to work through more of my samples. I think to do that, I need to give myself permission to give up on my sampling spreadsheet. It’s become homework.
Sigh, filling out my spreadsheet is homework too. But I do still find having the info to be so useful–I regularly refer to it, like when I’m trying to remember something I wanted to try a second time, or collecting recommendations for a friend… Hrm.
Yes, that is what keeps me from totally ditching it. I know I’d be glad for the reference, if I could just muster up the strength to maintain it properly!
Same–my diligence (or lack thereof) def impairs the spreadsheet’s usefulness…
I agree. 🙁 I’m trying my best to keep it – but it can be tedious. I have been blogging my trials/experiences more recently – I find that to be at least a little bit more fun and helps me pay more attention the sampling experience than when I just try to keep notes in a spreadsheet.
1. I always want to try a new Amouage…
2. I’ve decided to buy Une Fleur de Cassie (because of the same DC worries as many above). Haven’t quite decided if I should go for a FB or a travel set. Or maybe a combined travel set (exellent idea by FM by the way), but 10 ml might not be enough if it’s really DC?? Also I need to stock up on Mitsouko extrait, I’ve almost run out.
3. Well, some form of restraint in general I guess 🙂
1. Given Dior’s willingness to monkey around with their line, especially renaming things, could I possibly get a restoration project to release a version of Diorissimo that hews closer to its original form? Hire Giacobetti, call it Diorissimo L’Original, like they’ve done with Miss Dior.
2. Oof, I’ve already bought two bottles in 2015! And one of them broke my “finish your sample or decant first”…but none of the sample sites had it, and it was more than half-off! And the one time I did get to sniff it was so different from anything else I have… So, bottles of Penhaligon’s Lavandula and Cartier Zeste de Soleil are on their way to me.
3. Probably to swap some decants of these bottles that it would otherwise take me two lifetimes to finish!
If only “Diorissimo L’Original” was more than just a dream. Years ago, Diorissimo was my mother’s favorite perfume. I got her a new bottle a little while back, but it’s like a different perfume entirely. 🙁
Yes exactly! It’s a whole other perfume, which is why there should be two–people who like the current version can carry on, and those of us who want the other thing can have our cake, too 🙂
I don’t think you can do a decent Diorissimo under current IFRA rules.
Yeah I realize the regulations were a major factor in it being altered in the first place…but I wonder whether there might not be some other means to the same–or at least a similar–end? Especially with the creation of new molecules? Maybe it’s wishful thinking, I def don’t know enough about the chemistry to know. (And I’m probably overly influenced by the one creative field I’m more acquainted with–these days most of Hollywood’s special effects can be accomplished by anyone with a DSLR and a Macbook, which can make it feel like anything is possible!)
Ha…there are no consumer regulations affecting special effects!
But I don’t know enough about the chemistry either, just what I read. We can hope.
C.H., I think you are right that we are scent twins! My favourite acquisition this past year was a decant of houndstooth-era Dioressimo, which I never expected to sniff again. Now I am curious to try Penhaligon’s Lavandula…
On new fragrance wishes: Something new from Hiram Green (agree with galbanumgal that a non-fruity green floral could be nice). Or maybe Osmanthe Yunnan Extreme or Intense from Hermes – something to give it a bit more staying power. Ooh, or a new Jour d’Hermes flanker!
I’m pretty sure my next FB purchase will be Ineke’s Field Notes From Paris. I love it to death, but am forcing myself to hold off until spring because it seems like it would be even more wonderful in slightly warmer weather. Could that count as a resolution too?
And like many others posting here, I resolve to exercise more restraint in my sampling, try to avoid ordering samples merely to satisfy my curiosity, remember that I have several as-yet-untried samples, etc., etc. We’ll see how THAT goes. 🙂
#1–no idea.
#2–I think the first bottle this year will be OJ Woman. However, I want to wait for a sale if possible, so something else might come along before that happens. Anyone know when/if OJ has sales?
#3–I have many beauty related resolutions! So far, I am doing a no-buy (of anything like make up, soap, moisturizer, perfume, etc.) for the first 100 days of the year. While I am not buying, I am also doing a project pan, and using up some stuff I have that’s half used and just needs to go. I have 9 items on that list. I think I can get through them in the hundred days. Then, as a reward, I am going to buy a bottle of perfume (possibly OJ Woman, see above).
I get the OJ emails, and while I don’t remember any sales (maybe free shipping sometimes? I could totally be wrong about this) they seem to offer very nice gifts with purchase on a fairly regular basis.
They had something like a 20% or 25% off sale on black friday (London time). Mostly they have free shipping sales. Occasionally something like “spend more than $$ and then you get X free”, which I always think are great, but are way out of my price range. Keep up with those email blasts and you’ll eventually see something that fits.
OJ did a Black Friday sale this year that was the first I’d seen in YEARS. I’d say there are good chances of other deals to come–maybe Mother’s Day?
Oh, and second the notion of getting on their email list. Only way to know about special offers.
Hi Missionista! I have a 50 ml bottle of OJ Woman which I bought last year in London hoping it would grow on me, but alas, it has not. So it is 95% full and I would hate for it to go to waste. If interested, let me know and maybe we can find a way for you to get it. Are you in the US?
Hi Adanst,
I am in the US. E-mail me at missionista@yahoo.com and we’ll talk.
I love the reward idea 😉
1) I am, as mentioned above, awaiting a rerelease of Patou Vacances. I’m prepared for it to be different, but I do hope it’s a respectful homage! The original was such a tender fragrance, though persistent. SO beautiful. It’s supposed to be out this year, but I am holding my breath lest there be a slip from cup to lip.
2) Just bought it yesterday: Malle Iris Poudre, which I have been saving up to buy for at least a couple of years now. That, plus at least a split portion of Vacances should it actually make its way to market and be good.
3) No resolutions. An intention to thin the collection, however.
1. I’d like to see Serge Lutens come out with a scent that has all the spicy, stewy, weird and woody goodness of past creations, but without the harsh edge that I often experience with his scents, that take them just a step past perfect wearability.
2. I might have to buy another Eau des Missions from Les Couvent des Minimes. I gave the one I had to my sister when I visited over the holidays.
3. I would say fewer purchases, but I no longer know my own mind. I’ll be very restrained for months, rationally telling myself that I have enough perfume to last a lifetime of varied wear. Then, I’ll come across a sale, or a review, and the dam on my perfume buying regulator breaks wide open. All bets (or resolutions) are off!
1) from Diptyque I want something with lilac, frankincense and cedar.
2) I don’t have any plans. There are a few I’m on the lookout for though.
3) No resolutions for me except to enable you all as much as I can 😉 which brings me to my next point. Well.ca has 250 g Nesti Dante soaps for 6 CAD right now!
I would like a Diptyque release that would knock me off my feet. I own a bottle of Philosykos, but nothing else has been FBW for me.
1) Nothing in particular- I still have far too many existing fragrances to test drive and can’t worry about requesting future ones (I realize this is not a New Perfume Request but I would like Pd’E to being back their 50ml bottles or offer travel spray sizes.)
2) I am on the “no buy” bandwagon right now, BUT, depending on income tax return and some upcoming medical expenses, if I am able to swing it in March or April, a FB of
Onda VdE shall be MINE!!
3) My resolution is to off-load some fragrances I just don’t reach for much anymore. Also a Blind Buy that didn’t work and sits on my dresser thumbing its nose to me. Freebie Meet, here I come!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! It’s so interesting to read everyone’s answers- I love these kinds of posts =)
Onda!! That’s worth waiting for.
1. I’m still waiting for the jasmine-centric Tauer.
2. Unsure, I’ve entered a period of really cutting back my purchases. I’m getting a late Christmas present of Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries Mi Corazon this week. (What a mouthful!) It’s hit the discounters – wonder if that line hasn’t done well or is being discontinued.
3. I quit reading perfume blogs in 2014 because I felt they were driving purchases I couldn’t afford. My 2015 resolution is to start reading again, but many fewer blogs. So here I am!
Welcome back!
Yes, welcome back. I know what you mean… It’s good to feel part of a community, however.
Good to see you back!
Ha! Regarding #3, whatever gave you that idea?
#3 I know exactly what you mean, and it doesn’t help that the bloggers write so beautifully, each description sounds like poetry and who can refuse good poetry!??
Welcome back
1. I would love to see a few new-but-old-school non-aldehydic florals, please. Guerlain, I’m looking at you. And I’m with Robin on voting for a jasmine Hermessence. I love the scent of fresh jasmine flowers but have yet to find a jasmine fragrance that approximates the real thing for me. A La Nuit, Joy, Waikiki Pikake, Le Jasmin, Tendre Jasmin, California Reverie, sigh, nope. Not giving up though!
2. No plans to buy yet, but I am wishing for a great eau de cologne. Atelier may be the answer.
3. I am not one to make resolutions, but I have been more deliberate, mindful, and generous about using fragrance during December and will continue into the new year. Perfume: use it or lose it.
I am remembering to spray fragrance on clean bed linens and bath towels, on my scarf, on a bookmark, on a handkerchief or tissue for my coat pocket, on my hairbrush just before using it, on pajamas before bed, and of course on wrists, ankles, the back of the neck. Ready, set, spritz!
Montale Jasmine Full is a real massive, natural jasmine. Also, the L’AP Haie Fleurie (if they still make it?).
I’d add vintage (still easy to find on ebay) Samsara and SSS Jour Ensoleille.
Two more to add to my must-try list. Thank you! I remember liking Samsara long ago . . . must find it again. 🙂
Thank you for the excellent ideas. 🙂
Realistic is maybe not the first word that comes to mind, but Lush’s jasmine perfume Lust is such a bargain that it’s worth trying just in case it does work for you!
Another one for my must-try list. I need to visit the Lush shop near me. Thank you!
Oh and you know I get some jasmine from the newer version of Serge’s Fleurs d’Oranger, if you haven’t smelled it already. Very much a white flowers trio (the third being tuberose) rather than a straight orange blossom frag.
Mon Oncle Serge knows his jasmine. Must try! Thank you.
Agreed. THe other white flowers in there keep that one from going soapy the way OB often does on me… and it’s truly lovely.
Love your use it or lose it attitude! Great suggestions for where to spritz!
Ha! That’s my theme for 2015: use it or lose it. 🙂
Tawaf for jasmine. 🙂
Another great suggestion. Thank you. La Via del Profumo’s bottles are gorgeous.
Sheesh. All these perfume diets make me want a donut. 😉
a donut = eau do nut?
l’eau d’nut?
You know, this would make a good poll–what’s your favorite kind of donut? Hahaha just kidding (although, I’m never unhappy to talk about donuts!) Rather, I’d be curious to know whether, first of all, folks even think about the perfumes they own as a “collection” (I’m not sure I do, in fact!), and if they do, what the rationale is behind times when they want to enlarge or reduce the size of that collection. When is smaller better, when is bigger better?
Yes, how do we decide we have “too much?” Especially when clearly anyone who is a regular on this site surely has more fragrance than 95% of the people around them! There was a time when I thought it was the height of luxury to own 2 whole bottles of two different scents! Imagine, the bourgeois wastefulness of it!! 😀
Oh, and I’m a buttermilk bar with maple frosting kinda girl. 😉
Wow! Them’s some fancy donuts!
This is a safe space, right? …I like Boston cream. I know it’s absurd. And actually I can’t eat them anymore because of an allergy. But if I could!!
I used to get these *amazing* custard filled donuts at a local bakery. I’ve never seen anything like them since–imagine Boston Creme, but cut in half with a slab of custard between the layers of pastry, rather than the usual creme filling. Slathered in chocolate frosting, of course! Absolutely delicious!
I like a real honest to god, melt on your tongue french cruller, which are getting harder and harder to find in the land of cake and lard.
Yes! For the better part of a decade, I didn’t wear any perfume at all, because I had two bottles, one made me sneeze, the other smelled like sour milk on my skin…and in the most sincere way, it just didn’t even occur to me that a person might consider buying a third bottle, if she had two in her house already.
Ha! Whatever showed you the light?
1. What new fragrance would you love to see in 2015, and from which house?
– I’d love a gourmand from Byredo or a massive peachy/raspberry/rose/woody scent from Sophia Grojsman. House doesn’t matter.
2. What’s the first fragrance you plan to buy this year?
– Le Labo Benjoin 19.
3. Do you have any perfume-related resolutions for 2015?
– To stop hankering after old discontinued loves. I’ve realized, after I’ve hunted down a few, that they never smell like they do in my mind. Maybe because the bottles are old and might have been stored unwise, but mostly because my taste have changed.
Oh, hey, I would totally love to smell a massive fruity-rose-woody from Sophia Grojsman. I like her unabashedly-feminine style.
Sign me up, too!
Heck, I’d just take some vintage Tresor, while we’re at it–I assume she’s got the original recipe! 🙂
1) The release I most want to see is the release of a bomb over IFRA headquarters! Oh! Did I say that out loud?? JK people, I’m really not violent.
2) While I had no *plans* of a fragrance to buy, Perthgirl’s kind enabling regarding my aborted attempt to buy Yvresse sent me looking again and I was able to find a small bottle of Champagne. So first one bought already! And #2, I’ve split a bottle of Bois d’Armenie with a dear NSTer and that should be coming soon (not reported to Donatella last qtr. as it hasn’t been paid for yet).
3) Boring as I am, I’m going to continue to sell off bottles, although that’s not necessarily a resolution. (sorry Marjorie Rose 🙁 )
3)
Hey, more pastries for me! 🙂
🙄 dumdedum
It was *kind* enabling wasnt it? Prices are getting higher and bottles becoming rarer and id so hate for you to miss out… 🙂
Oh, extremely kind! 😉 A shiny stone for your enablers pin! What really surprised me is that the prices for Champagne were actually better than the prices for Yvresse! Go figure… And – I was able to find a 20 mls. bottle rather than those honking big 100 mls. ones. So really, I ought to pay you!
Rappleyea, so with you on #1. Not a bomb, necessarily, just a bunch of pink slips and a return to sanity, followed by releases of real Diorella, real Diorissimo, real Cabochard, and so on.
#2: Fate, Ubar and Opus 1. Perhaps 4160 Tuesdays, still considering it.
#3: Stop spending so much on samples and buy the scents that matter in FB (30 ml would be perfect).
1. I would like an awe-inspiring new Lutens based on plants such as anise and tarragon. I know he could do amazing, unexpected things with such materials.
2. and 3. I am going to try VERY VERY HARD not to buy anything this year, and try instead to work my way through some of the things I already have. Frankly, I’d be happy just to empty one bottle.
Tarragon and anise sounds awesome- why hasnt anyone done that?!
If Lutens did Anise I might gladly hand him my rent money for it. I love that smell and if anyone can do it justice I know he can.
He does! IMHO, one of the best of the Lutens scents is Douce Amere, which features a strong anise note.
Douce Amere is actually one of the more wearable Lutens scents, if you ask me. (I’m not a particular fan of the line, but DA is friendly.)
Douce Amere doesn’t read as anisic on me AT ALL. I wish! (I have Guerlain Anisia Bella which is way more anise.) I would love a really properly herbal Lutens with lots of anise and tarragon and grassy notes, just dense and green while still being classic Lutens.
What I want—for Liz Zorn to reissue Carpathian Oud Cologne whenever she introduces her new mixed media line, or failing that I will take great carnation scents or gardenia scents from any house
My first buy of 2015 will probably be Soivohle Rosa Sur Ruese
My perfume resolution is to end the year with fewer untried samples than I began it with (so I of course just acquired a sample of the new Atelier while hanging out with Squirrelly)
With thegoddessrena re carnation wishes — it would be really really nice to big a big trend for a note I quite like, for once.
First bottle of 2015 might be splits of Natori and that vanilla-Shalimar (1/2 + 1/2 = 1).
The 2015 resolution might be not to go crazy on buying samples, since the only sample I did like enough to buy last year was given to me.
I join you two with carnation wishes, but I didn’t even answer #1 because of IFRA 🙁
Ha, Annie, I’ve had the same experience with samples. I saved a lot of money in 2014 by cutting WAY back on purchasing them. It’s mostly thanks to swappers that I’ve found things I like.
1). Isn’t Tauer doing a tuberose – can’t wait for that.
2). FB list includes Amouage Epic, slumber house Pear and Olive, Malle Cassie, Therese and Carnal Flower (yay for the new 10 ml options).
3). I’ll probably have to hold off on any purchases for a while as I’m saving for a trip to HK, Japan and Taiwan in July. I bought my one and only Amouage in HK 2 years ago and the prices seemed good.
I’ll be interested in smelling that one too, even though Andy’s things are either Big Wins or Big Fails for me (his tuberose thing for Tableau de Parfums turned out too weird for me). I just never know.
1. I don’t have a perfume wish
2. I really want bottles of Wit and Shanghai Lily, but they’re so expensive. I’m still renovating my house and that’s eating up most of my discretionary income. It’s also bad that The Perfume House will be carrying Malle, as I’ve never met one I didn’t like.
3. Not really a perfume resolution, but I have enough moisturizer/body oil to last years. I vow not to buy any more until I’ve made a considerable dent in the stockpile.
My 2015 resolution is to learn how to smell individual notes in a perfume. I can pick up some prominent notes but that’s about all. My partner’s a chef and he can break it down completely, top, middle and base it’s quite impressive. I need to start training my nose, any suggestions how?
Straight essential oils are a good way to start knowing some notes. I also recommend trying a cluster of scents that have a prominent note in common
I might jump onto lucky scent and have a look, thanks!
Workout for your nose
http://boisdejasmin.com/2014/03/workout-for-the-nose-how-to-improve-your-sense-of-smell.html
Seconding bois de Jasmin. The scent diaries she proposes are a great way to train the nose, too.
1. A new Hedwig perfume, by ELdO this time rather than Demeter. In the spirit of Justin Vivian Bond’s Afternoon of a Faun (and also Monsieur Gustave’s L’Air du Panache from Grand Budapest Hotel)– a real perfume the character would wear, not just a novelty scent.
2. No new/current purchases planned, just random vintage finds for me.
3. Use it or lose it.
So good to see your name pop up. Loved Grand Budapest Hotel, not least because of the character’s love for L’Air du Panache.
Nice to see you too, Lindaloo! Such a nice welcome makes me glad I ventured out of my hermit’s cave. :P. I adore that scene when M. Gustave treats Zero first to a tantrum, then to an apology, and finally to a spritz of precious Panache. “We are brothers!”. 🙂
🙂
Isn’t it time for the next Turtle Vetiver?
Your right!! I would love to smell a new one!
I second it!
(The lion was my sotd yesterday; great stuff!)
1. Andy Tauer Iris or Carnation or maybe a blend of the two?
2. JAR Golconda (the 25 year old version). To wit, I had been busily acquiring BG / NM gift cards through points and shamelessly asking for these cards when asked what I wanted for Christmas. I am waiting for the spend $X get $X deal aka spend to save 😉
3. Hmmmmm, I will TRY to not buy any soap, shower gel or cosmetics for myself for 6 out of 12 months. Any such purchases don’t count as violating this resolution if I have to get to a certain spending level to “save” or get a deal while buying something else (hello perfumes). I will also try to thin the perfume herd.
Well, you haven’t specified which 6 mos that you’re not buying soap….
I have a year to achieve it :-). My weakness is buying soaps while on vacation since they make nice gifts, don’t spill and are easy to tuck away.
1. Curious to try the new Chanel exclusif
2. Nothing planned, and I hope it stays that way
3. To continue falling in love with stuff I own! This summer, I realized I have been underspraying my perfume all these years, and that a few more sprays can give a scent a deeper and more interesting personality … I developed new appreciation even for my most worn and familiar fragrances, and want to keep on discovering the beauties that hide in my cupboard.
Woohoo for extra sprays!!
Totally agree on needing to spray away. Huge difference this can make.
Long life to lavish sprayers!
1. I don’t even know.
2. Well that already happened today… I was out, really just intending to buy a USB cable to replace the one I use to charge my phone in the car, and I was lured by the siren song of the nearby Marshall’s. I was weak! Weak, I tell you! I bought 30ml of Cacharel Amor Amor and (God only knows why, but it was calling to me) 30ml of Aquolina Gold Sugar. At least I spent less than $30 for both together.
3. Maybe to avoid Marshall’s and TJ Maxx for a while. I do find some good buys sometimes, but I end up spending too much there that I could be putting toward really good stuff. I need to rein in my inner shiny-craving toddler.
Thanks for this fun poll, Robin. I’ve been having a lot of fun reading the responses!
1) I’m still so new to the perfume world, I’m not sure what I would like to see (because I still don’t know what I like and I have very little concept of what’s already out there).
2) So far I don’t have any spending plans – though there is a list of samples I’d like to get eventually. I’ve also been really surprised by how much I’ve liked the Ateliers I’ve just tried (Silver Iris, Gold Leather) – so perhaps someone from the Atelier line may be a first purchase of 2015!
3) Resolution wise I think I want to make sure I’m actively sampling (really paying attention to what I’m wearing and then blogging about it to help me remember) as opposed to just putting stuff on and forming quick opinions like “oh this is nice” or “meh”. I think really paying attention is the only way I’m going to really get a feel for what my tastes are, and better learn to discern notes. So I think I’ll probably institute some sort of rule along the lines of ‘no sample purchases until X number of samples have been tried and blogged about’. We’ll see how it goes!
bwahaha, ‘something’ from the Atelier line, not ‘someone’….
Well,if you could purchase your own perfumer from Atelier…why not!?!haha!
True! Signature fragrances daily SVP!
I have samples that I still visit year after year to try and see if my feelings about it have changed; if I can smell different notes as my nose has developed, etc. It’s useful to do that, especially if you want to develop smelling skills for a particular family, eg, greens, orientals, woods, etc. I still have a lot of troubles with some incense and white flowers, but it’s fun to work on it!
I’ve been on the fence about this – I can never decide if I should hold onto samples I don’t like/love, or if I should just pass them on. But you make a good point about using them to develop my nose – so perhaps I’ll try to hold on to them a bit. I have much much learning to do in terms of my nose – I guess really I should try finding some soliflore samples or EOs to help me out as well!
Oh, excellent plan for dealing with samples.
ohh I only have one wish…. bodyproducts of Beloved Amouage… then I would be so happy…I keep trying to find one that suits it but nothing worked so far.
Could you buy a sample of the perfume and add it to your favorite unscented lotion?
There are some tips at: http://boisdejasmin.com/2013/04/how-to-make-your-own-scented-lotion-and-body-cream.html.
thanks for the tip, tried it ofcourse but…the real thing must be so much better……
OH YES!! I can only imagine the joy of emerging from a shower/bath in a cloud of Beloved to start the day….
ooooohhhh yes….I keep on dreamin”….:)
1. I’d love to see a dark, warm, complex and utterly surprising Lutens oriental.
2. My Chanel N. 5 is almost over, and since it’s refillable, it seems only reasonable to get a refill. Hope to be able to do this, though. I only buy perfume when I travel abroad, which is not very often, and I can get distracted easily!
3. This year I’ll give away or swap the stuff I don’t wear. I was afraid I might turn out to love some of those juices, but now I’m understanding my taste a little better, so the time has come.
Update on question nr 2!Lol!I didn’t PLAN to buy it,it just happened!!I was doing SO well and then….Hahaha!Anyway.Have wanted Caleche since forever. Now I have it.And how was I supposed to say NO to a bottle of vintage Diorella?(houndstooth box.perfection).A good(bad, very bad!!) day at the shops!
Excellent purchases – both of them! Congratulations!! Diorella in houndstooth especially – wow!
Thank you!Yes!That houndstooth box!The REAL perfumistas are few and far between here in South Africa, which means vintage finds are actually not that hard to track down!
So lucky Johano! Enjoy your find.
Thank you Ann!Happy New Year! We’re a couple of emails behind!Nice to see you here though!xo
1. The upcoming Chanel release answers this one.
2. No plans to buy, since i was gifted Rose Nobile for xmas, and upon first sniff decided it will be perfect for my June wedding scent.
3. Resolution, hmmm. I’ve been doing a seasonal wardrobe thing, where i rotate bottles for seasons. So i resolve to continue doing that for 2015. That way, I can shop my wardrobe every 3 months or so.
Oooh. How do you decide in which “wardrobe” to put a scent? I’m thinking of scents that are a very different experience in warm weather and cool–Shalimar, Bois des Iles, etc. There are some scents it would be easy for me to put away for a while, but others seem to be so interesting and changeable with different environments!
I love my seasonal rotations. I have a bedside cabinet where I store my entire stash, and then the things in the current rotation live in a large hatbox (away from light!) on my dresser. To do the changeout, though, I have to pretty much go through the whole stash, and it is nice to pull out something from the usual fall rotation and use it in spring, for example. If it doesn’t work, it goes back. (Found that I liked L’Heure Bleue parfum better in summer, btw.)
There are a few things that never seem to get put away, too. MG Plum only gets put away in super-cold weather, and both Chanel No. 19 and Le Temps d’une Fete pretty much stay at hand all year.
Similar to Mal’s M.O., I basically go through and choose the bottles i can see myself wearing for the next few months. Some stay year round (chanel no.5, shalimar, bronze goddess) and others get rotated. If i miss one, I can pull it out at any time. But this helps me get to know my scents, and not feel overwhelmed by my collection.
It also allows me to keep my current samples/decant under control, since they live in the same drawer as the rest.
Oooh – congrats on your upcoming wedding! You know, I only got into perfume recently and I don’t think I wore anything on my wedding day. Sad! I’m glad you’ve found your signature wedding scent!
1. I’m always interested to see something new from Parfums DelRae.
2. Once I finish my decant, I’ll be buying a bottle of Bois des Isles.
3. Curb the crazy spending and sample the testers languishing in my “to try” bowl.
Your languishing testers are so sad, and crave your attention! 🙂
That new Misia sounds interesting. I will make a point of hunting it down when it arrives.
I find the scent of some cosmetics preferable to many of the new fragrances. The 3 Lab Neck Cream and It’s a 10 for Blondes wound be fb purchases for me if they existed.
Speaking of things that exist:
I was a bad girl yesterday. Fbs of Un Rose de Kandahar and Musc Tonkin. I don’t know what I was thinking. Today I am thinking I am done for the year…..and this is only day five.
1. I am excited about Misia from Chanel. I would love to see Tom Ford do something similar to his discontinued Velvet Gardenia and Black Violet.
2. I want a bottle of Maai and also Santa Maria Novella’s Patchouli. However,
probably nothing this quarter as my finances have been swallowed up from Christmas and regular bills combined.
3. I want to lessen my purchase of samples because I always find one or two I have to have, and thus I have many more full bottles than I could ever use up. I vow to never purchase more than 3 bottles per quarter, but try to actually limit myself to one a quarter.
1. I would love to see/smell an aquatic in extrait form from Guerlain or anybody!
2. I would like to buy Sweet and Minuit Sonne from Lolita Lempicka if I can ever find them.
3. My resolution is to take all the bottles out of my IKEA Billy, dust, and rejig my bottle configuration into groups of shapes rather than displaying by house or chronological order.
Im pretty sure I’m the only one here who many more celebrity scents but i want new celebritys to enter the world and make something different but not terribly different…who celebrity wise do we want something from in 2015
1. I’d love to see more leathers with loads of galbanum & oakmoss, from the house of Fendi.
2. I purchased Dune by Dior.
3. No resolutions for 2015 per se, I’ve been wearing what I already own, and have spent considerably less money on scents.
