Looks lovely – added to my (long!) list of ‘try when I find it’ smells; am a big fan of Penhaligon’s Lily of the Valley & going back to my late teens, the original Diorissimo – courtesy of a very dear, no longer with us, aunt who gave me a bottle with some ‘leftovers’ in it. She lived in the US & despite our geographical distance we were very close – imagine our mutual surprise & pleasure when, some years later during a visit, we realised our new mutual favourite was (again the original & to me, never bettered by him) Oscar de la Renta.

Nobody will ever beat the original Diorissimo, but yeah, I’d try this too if I saw it.

Really appreciate how you respond to people’s comments, Robin, & add any extra bits & bobs of knowledge you have on the current topic. Had a lovely response from Kevin recently, too, but can’t remember what I commented on! I am trying to comment more, as I said I would now I have retired, but I think I now really understand other people, when they stopped working, saying they had no idea how they found time to hold down a job!

Oh, thank you! And congrats on your retirement. That’s been true for many people I know (including my mother, who is busier than ever).

You’re very welcome, & thank you for the congrats. It’s early retirement, thanks to a recent inheritance of a life changing amount of money. I concur with your comment about your mother – I worked in the oil & gas industry for many years with ridiculously long hours, yet still managed housework, holidays, hobbies etc – now I have all this time I find myself really having to nail down a time to clean windows, for instance! On another tack, I have found even more fragrance sites to peruse…
