Isaac Mizrahi Fabulous ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 3 August 2012 11 Comments

Isaac Mizrahi Fabulous perfume

Designer Isaac Mizrahi will launch Fabulous, his debut fragrance for women, in September under licensing arrangements with The Cloudbreak Group.

The notes feature mandarin, nectarine, bergamot, jasmine, tuberose, freesia, peony, sandalwood, vanilla and cedar.

Isaac Mizrahi Fabulous will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. It will debut on QVC on September 6 and then launch in Bloomingdales in October.

Update: per the press release...

A sensual and timeless scent, FABULOUS captures the essence of Mizrahi's native New York and the juxtaposition of beauty and confidence often seen on the city streets that have long inspired him as a designer. This wonderfully feminine scent encapsulates Isaac's desire to make a woman feel like she does when she puts on an evening gown, like she's stepped into a fantasy.

"Creating a fragrance feels like the last piece of the puzzle," said Mizrahi. "I've been designing clothes, accessories, housewares - everything for a woman's lifestyle - for nearly thirty years. FABULOUS is my opportunity to offer women something to identify with on a whole other emotional level."

A fruity floral with cedar? That’s a refreshing change. Loving the bottle.

Not sure if it’s a fruity floral or not…the article did not give the fragrance family.

I love Isaac Mizrahi! He seems like the most huggable designer. This is interesting because there’s no rose, in a classic rose-based combo of notes. I wonder if the freesia and white notes combo will be a nod to 90’s white floral aquatics?

No idea — wish we knew the fragrance family. And of course, there might be rose & it just didn’t get listed.

I ADORE LES MIZ! :-) one of my top 5 fave designers… this sounds utterly GENERIC for a designer like him… I mentally, MANY MANY years back mentally imagined a fragrance for him and a bottle… this seems… just all too plain for someone of his Aesthetic. Hopefully… this is just for the QVC People and he will launch another Scent WORTHY of his Brilliance… not that i won’t want to smell this (LOVE Freesia and Nectarine) but this could be just some Random Estee Lauder Thing really, Not truly an ISAAC Scent! ;-( Sad….

I smelled this in a scent strip in a magazine a month or two ago, and I’ve been intrigued with it ever since. :) Anyone know where I can find a tester of this? I checked Macy’s but I didn’t see it there. :(

I believe Bloomies and Lord & Taylor both have it.

….almost 2 yrs after the original post on Fabulous……Just found a tester at Walgreens. Instant scrubber for me. Too sweet or too mandarin…definitely too much of something! :)
