Costume National So Nude ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 2 July 2012 12 Comments

Costume National So Nude fragrance bottle

Italian house Costume National will launch So Nude, a new fragrance for women, in July. The scent hopes to "evoke female beauty au naturel".

Notes include cardamom, cumin, neroli, ylang ylang, rose, cedar and patchouli.

Costume National So Nude  will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: So Nude is a spicy floral developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion; additional notes include tuberose and sandalwood.

Those notes don’t sound very “nude,” but I’m curious.

Me too…I like the brand’s fragrances. Haven’t even tried the last one yet (Pop) though.

The cardamon and cumin often give off a body odor note. Is that what they mean by “au naturel” ? Now we have gone from skin-type natural scents to really stinking! :)

cardamom AND cumin? No thank you. I have a few Tauer samples in my drawer to remind me what my Indian family’s kitchen smells like!

*Note: I suspect I cannot stand these notes simply because I am half Indian, as it just reminds me too much of kitchens*

I love cardamom in fragrance. Cumin — depends on how strong it is.

What is utterly weird, is that it’s cumin I def cannot stand the most, yet I love Aziyade and it just makes me happy every time I wear it.

Hmm, I don’t know a thing about Costume National’s fragrances, but the list of notes contains a lot of my favorites. Are these scents distributed at all in the States?

Yes, but not widely, and they get here slowly.

This one sounds challenging to say the least. I’ll have to pick up a sample.

The cedar is sparking my interest, especially in combination with rose… I had and loved their Scent Gloss perfume, but this sounds a bit warmer.
