Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Cuir Fetiche ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 31 August 2011 13 Comments

Maître Parfumeur et Gantier Cuir Fétiche perfume

French niche line Maître Parfumeur et Gantier will launch Cuir Fétiche, a new perfume for women, this fall. House perfumer Jean-Paul Millet Lage was inspired by a trip to Millau in southern France in search of new materials for the brand's line of leather gloves.

The notes include red mandarin, bergamot, lemon, geranium, leather, ylang ylang, jasmine, rose, iris, vanilla, musk, ambergris, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood.

Maître Parfumeur et Gantier Cuir Fétiche will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

South of France? Leather? Iris? Hello…this sounds sniff-worthy! I have not tried any of this line but I will do now go – a -hunting.

MPG has been relatively quiet as late…hope this one is good, or they will end up forgotten.

I’ve been wearing MPG Or des Indes as well as George Sand for years now, and people always compliment me on both of these, esp. fellas — not sure why that is but I’m not complaining. This new one sounds absolutely amazing. I may have to order a sample from Luckyscent. All my favorite notes – rose, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood. Yowza. I want to smell this.

This sounds delicious, but I really like leathery scents (and apparently I like bergamot too, I see, as I look up some of my favorite fragrances’ notes). I saw on another blog that this one is supposed to be fairly restrained. I’d like to sample it, for sure!

Mandarin? Ylang Ylang? Iris? Leather? What’s not to like?!! Definitely going to at least sample. It will have to be pretty good to cause a break up between me and my long time lover Cuir de Russie, but perfume tramp that I am, I’m always a little faithless!!

Isn’t this like the fourth leather fetish scent this year? And none of them have been particularly kinky?

    I’m probably just losing it.

This is probably the new release that I am most eagerly waiting. I am a big fan of this house and was rather underwhelmed when they had to resort to flanking for their latest Pour le Jeune Homme Extravagante. I really hope this one is a hit. They really need something to take them off oblivion. And a website update desperately.

When this line works it really works (wearing Secrete Datura today, one of my favorites). I mostly want that little corseted silly bottle. It does sound really good.
