Givenchy will launch Very Irrésistible Givenchy L’Intense in March. The new musky floral chypre fragrance for women is fronted by actress Liv Tyler, and is a flanker to 2003's Very Irrésistible Givenchy.

Very Irrésistible Givenchy L’Intense features notes of purple plum, Turkish rose, white musk and patchouli.

Givenchy Very Irrésistible Givenchy L’Intense will be available in 30, 50 and 75 ml, concentration unknown. (via wwd)

I think the bottles would have looked fine without the kind of swirly tattoo.

      They don’t hurt though.

The juice might be great…but name is so lame! Just add “VERY” in front of a name and you have a new perfume….
“VERY Channel No. 5” “VERY Tresor,” etc. What’s next…”EXTREMELY?” “HYPER Irresistable?” “Resistance if Futile

Yes, the name invites scorn. And iIt reminds me of Luca Turin’s one-line dismissal of Pleasures Intense: ‘Less Intense than Pleasures’.

LOL VMF! It’s exasperating. I’m waiting for them to translate it into foreign words meaning very next.

HOw does “Tres Very” sound – redundant?

Very was already in the original name. The difference is the L’intense.

      Very Hollywood by Michael Kors
I initially thought it was just “Hollywood” when I saw the launch but then it said “very Hollywood”. that annoyed me and I think just the word “Hollywood” would have been fine.

I’m pretty sure I already know what this is going to smell like. Originality: it’s getting harder to find.

Lol. I can’t bring myself to try any of the Ed Hardy scents because of the bottles. And this is coming from someone with tattoos. Blech.

Givenchy hasn’t compelled me to the counter in quite some time, though I do like the recent prevalence of the plum note and this doesn’t sound bad. I’m sure the patch is scrubbed clean and not the dirty patch from the wrong side of the tracks that I’m so fond of, but I wonder if this will have a Natori vibe going on.

I just hope it is as nice as the regular VI , VISensual and AI, which I love and wear daily(all the 3 of them). VI is indeed a sweet ,rosey and girly line but in a very restrained and french way. I find them attractive and elegant, with decent longevity and sillage . Maybe the Intense version will prove more intense not only in title but also in staying power and longevity. I can’t wait to try it, because Eaudemoiselle and Play, although nice are not “remarcable”enough for my taste. Everytime I put a VI on my husband kisses me and says “What’s this wonderful smell?” ” Irresistible”. “Irresistible indeed!”.

Well, Miss Jay, no, I did not have the chance to sniff it but I will as soon as it gets to my country. Which brings me to your second question- I live across the pond, in Europe, Romania, country of Nadia Comaneci and Count Dracula. In Bucharest, the capital city. Formerly known as Europe’s “Little Paris”. Nice to meet you!
