Perfume as birth control

Posted by Robin on 25 October 2010 15 Comments

Perfume as birth control: discuss. If you couldn't use contraception, then what about Gingham (Back off. I'm a tablecloth), Tweed (Put it away if you want to avoid sustaining wool-worsted burns to 90 per cent of your privates) or In Love by Norman Hartnell? (Is there a greater ardour-dampener than a scent devised by the Queen's dressmaker?)

Hilarious!!! And though I didn’t grow up in the arse end of Brum, I live not far from there now, so I can relate to this all too well… : – )

Funny! I love this line, too: “These days I have a patchouli person’s mentality but no desire to smell like a composting bin.” Ha!

Great line! Although I like a bit of composting bin myself ;-)

This was great, and I desperately needed a laugh on a Monday that started with a phone call from my boss at 7:15 a.m.

But I’m always amazed at how many of these types of articles mention Je Reviens! That was my HG forever and I laugh to find it mentioned as it was here as Mom’s perfume, because on blogs and by perfumistas it’s usually classified as skanky.

      So true…by today’s standards, it’s certainly skanky.

My husband absolutely despises Montale’s Powder Flowers – a good dose of that would keep me safe, lol!

I once had a boyfriend whose kissing technique totally turned me off, so I made sure to wear white floral based perfumes, since he once mentioned that he was allergic to them. Worked like a charm. (I really couldn’t tell him I didn’t want to go out with him because he was a horrible kisser)

I had this once too. Was the kiss combined with the bianca spray right before. Horrid.
Wasn’t smart enough for an olfactory counter-move though. Well played
