Bliss Eau de Toilette ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 August 2010 16 Comments

Bliss Eau de Toilette

Spa skincare brand Bliss has launched Bliss Eau de Toilette:

This "in-spa-rational" fragrance captures the essence of Bliss spas: the best possible feeling in the world. It's a mood-boosting fragrance with a vibe that's fresh, hip, and modern. This scent is light enough to spritz every day for a signature fragrance—but exceptional enough to wear on special occasions.

The notes include bergamot, dewy greens, cucumber, lily, sunny blooms, ylang ylang, violet and musk.

Bliss Eau de Toilette is available at Sephora, $54 for 50 ml or $18 for a 10 ml rollerball. (via sephora, additional information via cosmeticsmag)

The cucumber scares me, but it does sound very fresh and clean and I like the idea of violet and musk.

It sounds very fresh & clean — probably not something that I’m going to need. Love their lotions though!

I did try it during a recent visit to a Middleeastern country’s largest fashion store-it did smell like a later-effect of cucumber lotion-if somebody likes to smell like fresh out of spa-lotioned and toned-then this the fragrances for them :)

Dewy greens and sunny blooms, eh? :D Doubt I’d find their spas to be the “best possible feeling in the world” either. But I do love one of their facial cleansers…

I am also a big fan of their facial cleanser.

They make some nice products. This one is not calling my name though.

ok, ok….I know that I go on and on about evil raspberry….but allow me to say that cucumber is equally evil, just in a different way. Raspberry often (not always, so set down your torches and pitchforks) smells a bit like doody…..cucumber often turns over ripe, heavy..in a musky it’s rotting-quick-throw-it-out sort of way, it creeps up, overwhelms and then becomes stomach ache inducing….it’s sneaky though: at first I think “oh, this is fresh and tasty…I’l get the shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and deodorant!” within a week—all in the garbage. With God as my witness, I’ll never be fooled again! (you can’t see me, but I’m flouncing off to my ruined plantation now.)

Cucumber has really been overdone over the past fifteen years. Yep– in hair products, body products, candles, etc. And the cucumber-melon combo is particularly noxious. It was really interesting at first, but now just comes across smelling like a car air freshener. Most likely because they probably make cucumber-melon car air fresheners. I may have even had one at one time.

Yep, I’ll take my cucumber out of a salad bowl, thanks.

I am interested in trying this for sure. I have been to their spa for a facial & massage-all of their products are very nicely scented. Their clog dissolving cleansing milk is really great stuff and I love thier lemon soap, it’s really refreshing.

Definitely agree. Back in the “singles” day, I used to make annual spa appointments at the SoHo and 57St locations. Their treatments are always wonderful and products smell fabulous. The DH likes their lemon and minty soaps.

Are the bubbly things on the bottle or in the bottle? It would be so cute if it had some lava lamp action going on!

Pretty sure from other pictures I’ve seen that they are *on* the bottle, not in.

I, too, like Bliss products but am leery of cucumber. And often of violet, which, lovely as it is, I can only tolerate in small doses for any length of time. Still, I’ll look for it next time I’m signing my paycheck over to Sephora…

Too bad they didn’t just make a sage + lemongrass scent to go with their fabulous body butter!

    Bliss has really expensive skincare
but brands like that often have ok or cheap priced fragrances
