Estee Lauder has launched Pleasures Bloom, a new flanker to 1995's Pleasures fragrance for women:
Estée Lauder invites you to celebrate the timeless joy of life’s simple moments. Introducing new pleasures bloom, a luscious fruity floral fragrance, that embodies the appeal of new moments, new pleasures and the exuberance of life’s carefree days.
Drawing inspiration from the emotional platform of Estée Lauder’s best-selling pleasures fragrance, new pleasures bloom represents a more playful, contemporary expression of the original, iconic concept. Reinterpreted for the contemporary consumer, pleasures bloom is a fruity floral fragrance, which embodies the vibrancy and playfulness of modern life with a blend of luscious fruits and colorful florals.
The notes include grapefruit, raspberry, lychee, violet flower, peony, rose, jasmine, green lily, musk, patchouli and vanilla.
Estee Lauder Pleasures Bloom is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via press release)
Update: see a review of Estee Lauder Pleasures Bloom.
I laughed a bit at the name of this perfume, thinking the first Pleasures was pretty full of ‘blooms’ already. But I wear and love Pleasures Delight a great deal, so will give this a try given I like the notes since the fruit doesn’t scare me. 🙂 *coughcough I like lychee enough to own Manakara coughcough* 😀
I liked Pleasures Delight too, and in general have a soft spot for Pleasures — I don’t own it, but whenever I smell it I am surprised all over again at how pretty it is.
Pleasures is a deligthful scent, but it’s one worn by my sister and a close friend, and I so associate it with them that I have trouble wearing it myself (althought the Amber and Sandalwood Splash that came out last year is wonderful!)
Agree, it’s a really great scent, very underrated (by perfumistas).
I think Estee Lauder fragrances in general are underappreciated. Let’s see–it isn’t French, I can pronounce the name, it costs less than $100, it doesn’t come in a Baccarat or Lalique crystal bottle, I don’t have to go to New York or London or Paris to buy it–nope, it must not be any good.
I *do* like the original Pleasures but i think the endless endless stream of flankers is getting really tiring. I think Pleasures and White Linen have the most flankers of any fragrance around. Warmer temperatures, longer days, wearing flip-flops, Pleasures flanker? Must be summer.
I wish I was keeping count, but I’m not — but really think that honor must go to something like YSL Paris or CK One.
I remember that in one of the latest posts another users complained of the use of “bloom” or ¨in bloom¨ for flankers.. they were right! I mean it is ok, but come on, so many “blooms” at a time people…
You know, there are only so many words to go around, LOL…I do agree, but with 1000+ fragrances a year it’s hard to find new flanker names that aren’t already overused!
I won’t lie. I like things stuck on or tied to perfume bottles.
I bet this one will do well. I always get a lot of inquires about Estee Lauder fragrances. They generally produce quality items. Although, the other pleasures lines will be hard to beat.
I love Pleasures Delight – although I haven’t worn it in awhile. Maybe I’ll go dig it out and wear it today. I provably give this a sniff – I’ve liked most of the flankers, but not enough to buy them.
I know most perfumistas don’t care for flankers, but in the case of White Linen – I’ve liked all of the flankers better than the original, so go figure.
I never tried Pleasures Delight, but I like the Original Pleasures. Pleasures Exotic are fine, but I don’t think I’ll miss this fragrance when my mini is gone. This new one sounds pretty enough to try it, I guess, though I usually don’t make great friends with lychee or raspberries.
What an elegant touch on the bottle.
