I love that commercial. Now I have “Jean Nate, Jean Nate” stuck in my head again all these years later. I almost bought a bottle at the drugstore the other day. Maybe I will go back and get it. I have several of the Marc Jacobs splashes that were supposedly inspired by Jean Nate, might as well go old school and get the original!
Now, could you please find the Enjolie commercial? Because I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and never let you forget you’re a man, ’cause I’m I woman…..
I love that commercial!
Talk about ear worms — the Enjoli is the worst! It’s on YouTube, will try to post it next week 🙂
I used to love this commercial-thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I also like that the “jockey” has perfect makeup and no mud splatters on her face at race-end… 🙂
My aunt used to wear Jean Nate (she still does, actually) and it smells like Chanel’s Cristalle (the original version) on her….. it didn’t smell nice on me at all.
My grandmother wore it, and pretty sure my mother used to keep a bottle around too. I’ve been meaning to buy some ever since Angie reviewed it but never remember when I’m actually in a drugstore.
I keep it in a spray bottle and spritz myself after a bath in the Summer to cool down. It’s great and such a great scent for warm weather.
Nice!
Ah what a great memory. I was totally in my horse-crazy phase when this came out and I was so excited to see a female jockey (even though she was just a model). I bought this for my mom for Mother’s Day that year but I’m the one who ended up using it. lol I’m going to have to check it out at the drugstore, too. Wonder if it’s changed at all?
How funny that you remember it because of the horses! It must have changed, but haven’t smelled it in so long that it won’t probably matter to me.
All that splashing looks so violent to me! However, the whole thing is rather hilarious.
It’s a lot of perfume (even if they don’t want to call it perfume).
I remember getting this from a chic older friend for my 13th birthday… Didn’t love the scent but the marketing convinced me I must…
LOL…funny that the marketing worked then!
