The Jude Law one is an ad for both Sport and Intense? That’s rather odd isn’t it?

I think it’s actually 2 ads that have been looped into one. In the Sport version he is wearing a t-shirt and in the Intense one – a suit

That makes sense. The first time through had me confused, between Hip Actor Dude in LA and James Bond in London.

Dammit, this just reminds me that I *really* need to try some original Dior Homme. I’m told it’s essential for any iris lover, yes?

Any opinions on the Sport or Intense versions?

Still curious about the Fahrenheit Absolute too, though I’m pretty sure the original is what one of my roommates in college used to wear, which made me gag.

I don’t like it, but yes, would say it’s a must-try. The Sport version has nothing to do with the original but the original & the Intense are both worth a shot.

The original is nice enough. The Sport is actually lovely too. Very lemony and gingery. My favourite of the lot though is the Intense version. I really think it’s *gorgeous*. Warm, heavy, comforting…and I get more positive comments from others when I wear it, than with any other fragrance I’ve ever worn!

As for Fahrenheit Absolute, I’ve tried it twice now and I genuinely find it *revolting*. The original is very pleasant indeed, but this one is a whole new beast. I literally thought a small animal had died on my hand. Sickeningly sweet, like rotting flesh. The drydown is better, as more incense kicks in, but I absolutely detest it.

Was this commercial a complete piss take? Please tell me it was! He looked like he was parodying a macho male model trying to look sexy for a commercial. There was a lot of ‘tongue-in-cheek’ and I found it quite amusing.

I don’t know — but I thought it was fun, and I’ll always take fun over fake sexy.

What if it was Jude Law AND Liv Tyler, both with fragrance in their belly buttons, riding in a speeding boat, writhing in backless black dresses? hmmm? how would that be?
        😉

Don’t you guys think that is strange that dior have made only ads for the sport and intense versions? It’s kind of they were planning to discontinue the original and keep the intense version in its place. If they do so, at least dior homme intense is a great refined gourmand, very classy.

Did they never do a commercial for the original? I didn’t know.

I think they’ve done when they launched it. It was a short ad, with a classic music playing on background. What i mean to say is that they haven’t done an updated ad for dior homme, and to me it looks like they don’t want to invest in publicity, since it was a commercial flop (like all the other commercial fragrances that i love 🙁 ).

Was it a flop? It’s sure loved among perfumistas.

Well I really hope they keep making Intense. It’s beautiful. One of my all time favourite fragrances.
