Mandy Aftel at New York Botanical Garden

Mandy Aftel of Aftelier will be appearing at the New York Botanical Garden as part of their Edible Evenings: A Celebration of Wine, Beer, and Food series:

Mandy will be presenting an evening on perfumed tea in a few weeks at the New York Botanical Garden as part of their series, The Edible Garden. Mandy will be talking about using essential oils to flavor tea, and the participants will be sampling her gorgeous Rose & Ginger and Jasmine & Mint teas.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 6 from 6-9. Tickets are $20 for non-members; $10 for members, and can be purchased here. (via Aftelier newsletter)

    This sounds delightful.

    Unfortunately, the “perfumed tea” I just discovered I am sipping isn’t quite so…apparently, this morning’s leisurely but rather voracious sample tour led to something becoming part of my cuppa. Methinks it is either the vintage Antilope or the Le Interdit…either way, MUCH better on skin than on the tongue. (And yes, I remember someone posting recently that AT’s Un Rose Chypree was tasty. This, not so.)

      Oh no! LOL! I think your experience is quite the more common of the two…that’s why it was so surprising the URC tasted rather good.
