Darphin Baies Sauvages, Cedre Precieux & Lys d’Eau ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 26 November 2008 8 Comments

Darphin Cologne trio

French skincare brand Darphin has launched 3 limited edition colognes for women, Baies Sauvages, Cèdre Précieux and Lys d'Eau:

Baies Sauvages ~ "an irrepressible, and irresistible romantic fragrance that immediately evokes memories of long summer walks in the country." The notes include bergamot, lemon, blackberry, redcurrant, lilac, lily of the valley and cinnamon.

Cèdre Précieux ~ "a surprising, warm and delicate fragrance made of three precious woodland scents. Scents of cedar, sandalwood and ebony deliver an over-all, sense-indulgent experience." Also features cardamom, cumin, cinnamon, Turkish rose and patchouli.

Lys d'Eau ~ "an aromatic, fresh, aquatic and floral fragrance that leaves the skin delicately perfumed. Apple, iris, freesia and water lily give the fragrance a splash of pure refreshment whilst a carefully combined blend of pure essential oils of clove, rose, jasmine and vanilla add depth to the aromatic, sensual experience."

Darphin Baies Sauvages, Cèdre Précieux and Lys d'Eau are available in 100 ml, and can be found now at House of Fraser in the UK for £27.

Cedre Precieux sounds delicious. Does anyone know where these will be available?

At the moment, am only seeing them in UK stores, and don't really know where (or if) they'll be distributed in the US, although I know Neiman Marcus carries the brand so would guess they'll be there eventually.

Great! Thanks for the info! I'll watch the fragrance counter at Neiman's.

Do you think that spas and beaty clinics that carry the Darphin lines would carry them?

I would love to get my hands on the Cedre Precieux!

I've always liked the thought of lilacs with cinnamon. I hope these aren't expensive; I hope I can get samples somewhere.

I am still looking for a elusive signature.

Does anyone know of a frag. that the floral part can still be smelled in a base of amber and or musk? I don't care for the jasmine/rose or vanilla scents. My favorite flower is peony.

    I just keep striking out.

Thanks and have a stuffed Thanksgiving!

    -Becca

I really don't know, but if you want it perhaps it's worth a phone call?

I can't decide about lilac + cinnamon, but since these are colognes I guess it would be light in any case.
