New fragrances from Esteban: Ambre, Collection Couleurs, Passion Bresil & Secrete Afrique

Posted by Robin on 27 February 2007 6 Comments

While I wasn't looking, Esteban launched 8 new fragrances. I think most of these came out last year, however, none of them seem to be in the United States yet:

Esteban Ambre perfumeEsteban Ambre joins the Collection Matières (previously consisting of Cedre, Pivoine, Tonka):

In the Oriental sands, the golden glints of amber hypnotise the sun, fragrant with treasures… A delicious vanilla base shot through by a fresh hesperidean flurry of pink peppercorns.

Perfume Mysteries

Catherine Deneuve for Chanel no. 5 perfumeOver the past few years I’ve stumbled over a few perfume questions or stories, and I’ve gathered them here for you to ponder, too. If you have any insight, I’d love to hear it.

Mystery #1: According to Michael Edwards’ Perfume Legends, the first version of Guy Laroche Fidji was created by Edmond Roudnitska, the legendary nose responsible for Rochas Femme, Frédéric Malle Le Parfum de Therese, and Christian Dior Diorissimo. Paris Jardins Romantiques, L’Homme Yves Saint Laurent Eau d’Été & other limited editions from YSL

Posted by Robin on 26 February 2007 Leave a Comment

Yves Saint Laurent Paris Jardins Romantiques perfumeYves Saint Laurent has a bumper crop of limited edition fragrances scheduled for release in March.

This year's limited edition of Paris will be Paris Jardins Romantiques (shown):

As its name suggests, this sixth spring edition has a garden theme. The fresh floral juice features notes of mandarin, freshly mown grass, rose, lilac, violet and woods.

Last year's L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent gets a summer version: "L’Homme Yves Saint Laurent Eau d’Été is a blend of bergamot, Chinese ginger, ozone, basil and pepper". And Kouros gets updated with the Kouros Tattoo Collector edition (the men's fragrance comes with temporary tattoos): "The fresh, aquatic juice includes notes of bergamot, mandarin, neroli, cedar, incense and musk."

Also look for a new version of Cinéma Festival d'Été (clementine, rosemary, jasmine, peony, amber, vanilla and white musk). (via moodiereport)
