    Hi,

because this is my first comment on this blog I'd like first of all thank you very much. I'm an enthusiastic reader of Now Smell This and it is so well done – my compliments!

You mentioned the new arrivals at FiF… aren,t there rumours that L'Artisan is bringing out a new one called Dzongkha? As always I'm so curious… What do you think? Might it be another Dzing / lighter Patchouli Patch?

    Have a nice day!

Hi Urania, Thanks for the nice words!

Yes, there will definitely be a Dzonghka this fall. I have not yet seen an official list of notes, but if you look at the comments to this post:

    https://nstperfume.com/blog/_archives/2006/6/22/2048666.html

there is a list left by a reader who saw a press release, and I am sure they will turn out to be accurate.

    Hiya!

Thank you for the link… here are some other info which I found:

“In the top note of Dzongkha, the freshness of peonies and the pink flavor of lychees vibrate with cardamom. The heart of the fragrance is accompanied by chai notes (spicy tea with milk) that soften the strength of wood where vetiver stands out in the fumes of incense. This intensity is accentuated by cypriol (Indian papyrus) and leather notes. Iris with its powdery bottom note symbolizes both the stony ascpect and the softness of the fragrance.”

Doesn't that sound interesting? The nose is Bertrand Duchaufour.

Thanks, nice description. I hope it will be as good as it sounds! I do like Duchaufour's work, and am very fond of Timbuktu.

Oh yes, Timbuktu is ok… I,m afraid I don,t like it “more”. It was a good sample for me which I used to the last drop but I wouldn,t buy a full bottle. Between Timbuktu and Piment Brulant I'd prefer the second one; he has done it quite nicely and it simply “works” on me. I'm very curious about the two Eau d'Italie(s) of him and trying to get samples.

    Have a nice Sunday!

Yes, do try the Eau d'Italies…I like the newer one, Paestum Rose, the best & hope to review it soon. And BTW, posted about Dzongkha today!
