Well I could see the popularity of these in say, 1600 or before…but today? Who would want a small bottle of scent around their neck (or am I being too 'literal')?! Have you tried Aftel's Pink Lotus?

My mother aka Santa Claus gave me a (goldtone, if you please!) bracelet for Christmas when I was in the fourth grade that had a perfume charm on it. The charm came apart, kind of like a lipstick tube, only it was shaped more like a small lantern, and the perfume was a stick, kind of like lipstick or Gluestick, that you'd push as you used it up. Recently, I remembered what the perfume was (it was definitely Big Girl perfume) but I can't think now. Will try to ratchet up the brain cells. All of which is to say, there's nothing new under the sun, is there.

Aw, I think they're cute! So yes, I'd say you're being too literal 🙂

Haven't tried the Pink Lotus. I think that is the one made for Madonna?

L, no, nothing new under the sun!

But, she has gorgeous little silver cases for her solids, and a gorgeous silver flask for liquids. Actually, would love to see a mini of the silver flask on a necklace…

I love fragrance-jewelry! But then, I like the old jewelry fashions of centuries ago. Something about it is very charming, and whenever I read about history, I always like to pay attention to what sorts of beauty items were used for each period!

I have some Aveda aromatherapy jewely which I really like. You put a drop of essential oil of choice inside… and it just diffuses out. I have a pendant and earrings, very subtle.

Oh good lord. Can you imagine if your Cacao pendant shattered and a full 3.5ml dripped down your front? Oy.

It could be worse, it could be a full 3.5 ml of tuberose, and you could be clubbed to death by the passengers in your train comparment.

I have seen earrings like that, in sterling silver — but I don't think they were by Aveda. Will have to look for those!

Oy on either one, tuberose or cacao…the Aftelier Cacao is known as a love-it-or-hate-it scent.

These are very cute, but very expensive, imo.

Treasuredfinds.com has lovely perfume pendants too: you can use them with a fragrance of your choice.

Okay, I TOTALLY love those! I think I would like one without a fragrance, so I could decide what went in it. Oh, I will go shck that out, the post from above.

    Thanks Robin!

These can be bought empty right? I want one if that's the case. 🙂

C, I don't think Aftelier is selling them empty…the $95 includes the perfume of your choice.

Thanks for the link, but I have to admit, I love the ones you pointed out, I love the earthiness and colors of the pendants.
