A fragrance question from a reader…

Posted by Robin on 5 December 2005 7 Comments

For A., can anyone think of a fragrance similar to Kiehl's Musk oil, but without any synthetic ingredients?

I have no idea if Dawn uses synthetics, but DSH Firefly has some similarity (to my nose) with Kiehls Musk Oil. Not identical, though. I love both.

I am pretty sure she does use synthetics, but thanks for the suggestion…doesn't look like there are many ideas for this one!

just my own opinion, but while it's lovely, Body Shop White Musk is not at all similar to Kiehls. (And I think it may be synthetic.) It is very nice, though.

White Musk has a sweet powdery floral component to my nose, and Kiehls has a more earthy quality, with what i think is oakmoss and patchouli in the base.

I think Kiehls has oakmoss and patchouli in the base, maybe your reader can focus her search with that in mind?
